Life / Driving lessons, poznan [12]

It means that some sad council worker has been paid to pinpoint the exact place where the deer have finished jumping on vehicles and it promises drivers that there is no chance that a dear will jump on their car as the deer have finished at that precise point.

correct?

Food / Is it just me, or is the Polish diet rather unhealthy? [119]

I'm suprised you havent been slated yet by sensitive poles who can't take criticism about anything despite the fact they can never win an argument on food as i think deep down they know their food is bland, greasy and generally vile.

*waits for someone to post "well at least we don't eat fish and chips all the time"*

News / POLAND'S POPULATION IS SHRINKING... [62]

Food / Is it just me, or is the Polish diet rather unhealthy? [119]

hmmm, since Polish food is fattening how would anyone explain the fact that Polish people are not overweight the way some people in the Western countries are;)???

Because polish people eat beetroot, cabbage and those disgusting pickle things which act a a laxative. Another factor could be that as nearly all of the food in practically inedible polish people simply don't eat much.

All Polish food is vile, Yes everything is fried and covered in mayonaise and raw cabbage,I would say that about 90% of the food here is actually inedible by western standards.

Can't beat a good old sunday roast with yorkshire puds.

Life / Should we bring our truck or go small? [15]

Should be fine, I used to drive the 7 series all over the place and it always managed to fit where i needed it to, Regarding snow, for the winter months a 4x4 is highly recommended, The amount of times I got the m3 stuck wasn't really funny anymore, Definitely worth keeping but if you are selling how much would you be looking for it? Could save you sending it back to the states?

edit, just looked at the spec, is it the 5.6 litre engine? Would be worth converting it to lpg to help combat the european petrol prices?

Life / Scammed in Poland again [49]

Never trust the bastards, It seems the majority are out to con people and only the minority of people here are trustworthy, I avoid doing any sort of business with people here as much as i possibly can its just far to risky,

Must be a social problem from the communist days.

News / The Poles working abroad are raking it in [35]

calm down people,

Its not worth fighting over on the internetz,

Driving fast is great fun, end of, theres no 2 ways about it,
Polish people can't drive. Fact
Theres no point in buying a fast car to fanny about with it but then theres no point in trying to break the land speed record in a leased passat estate (as is attempted on polish roads daily)

News / The Poles working abroad are raking it in [35]

Just out of interest why do people in Poland always assume if you drive a decent car then you have a small penis? Is there some scientific proof that these 2 factors are related?

In that case mine must have grown significantly as i had a 2 tonne 7 series BMW and now I have a maluch,

I agree somewhat with WB, in the uk you drive like everyone else and people are often courteous enough to let you pull out etc, In PL you have to drive defensively or even offensively in order to get anywhere, Its sad but i've really noticed the difference in the way other motorists tread you depending on the car you drive, In the fiat i get cut up all the time, overtaken in stupid places etc, In the BMW everyone moved out of my way and never pulled out in front of me,

It will be interesting to see what other motorists make of a 450 bhp oriental rocket which looks very understated.

Harry which magazine TV programme did you work for?

News / The Poles working abroad are raking it in [35]

I don't think the police here know that tax is mandatory, They looked at me very confused when i handed them an insurance document from tesco motor insurance and asked how i bought insurance from tesco. A v5 leaves them flummoxed and they seem to think that the MOT certificate is insurance,

As pointless as road tax is i think you are right, Some insurance companies don't require the car to be taxed if its being driven outside the uk but most do, RHD cars can be registered in Poland now :)

I've noticed this too, You can usually tell if its a pole driving as it wont have tax in the window,

I was fairly tempted to buy a TT supra or skyline GTR just so that I can blow off idiots in Porsches etc :) £3000 quid car fully paid pushing epic power for vs IT consultant in a leased/Finance porsche being blown away by a mid 90's toyota or nissan, I reckon that would **** them off somewhat.

Life / Could I live on 2000zl in Poland? [30]

as in..... a UK grand (GBP sterling) x 5zlots approx = 5000 PLN take home, then I agree.

Yes, Exactly, You could "survive" on less but to "live" reasonably well a grand sterling should see you quite well.

Love / He keeps adding females friends to his profile .... [41]

dnz-you saying is fine...but the female was almost naked on her picture ....what does he wanna share thoughts with her about literature ?I dont think so.....

Perhaps he does? Maybe she likes being half naked in photos doesn't necessarily mean she wants any sort of sexual relations with your bf,

Whats wrong with that? I have many female friends on my facebook profile but they are just that, friends.

From your other posts i wouldn't worry about him cheating, he's hardly a great catch by the sounds of it,

News / Polish public property to be destroyed by Italian company to set up a pub. [30]

Nothing wrong with building a good night club, how was Shelleys post communistic? Its a capitalist society and this is a capitalist venture by a private company. I can't see anything wrong with it, As if the rest of Krakow hasn't been geared up for tourist anyway.

Life / WHY IS DISCO POLO WORSE THAN RAP CRAP? [20]

I have trouble with the fact that a lot of tunes are gathered under the label "Trance" which don't belong there

I agree 100%, Trance should generally be progressive, euro cheese on the other hand is great whilst under the influence but terrible any other time,

Life / WHY IS DISCO POLO WORSE THAN RAP CRAP? [20]

rap just does my head in and seems to be mostly angry black men slating their mothers, slapping their hos and driving hummers, Some rock is good but heavy stuff is to me just like white noise.

trance on the other hand is ace, modern day classical,

heres some examples,

disco Polo is utter shite though when you think about it, It annoys me how poles can't distinguish from techno and trance, the above examples are trance,

this is techno which is horrific unless you're on class a's
