Real Estate / What does 250,000 zl buy in Wroclaw? [30]

It may be enough for a deposit prices in Polish Citys are very high in price for appartments compared to the average wage! So if you want somthing decent you are talking around 600,000 zlt you could possibly get a small one bedroom in a rough condition and in a rough area for around 350,000zlt.

News / Zloty goes down, good news for ex-pats in Poland [18]

I do expect the property prices to take a dip but not a plummet (I hope i,m wrong) but if it drops by 20% and the pound rises by 20% then I will be buying either a flat, house or even just some land with in the next 5 months.

Good news for Ex-pats living in Poland. I being a Brit see the Zloty is 5.2 to the pound the question is do you think it will keep getting higher or is this a good time to cash in the British pound or stll wait for a while yet?

Life / Who has moved to Poland in the last year? Swap stories. [115]

Hi. I moved to Gdansk a year ago my fiancee did not want to leave her home town(15%)! so I told her I would give it a try here for a year and so far it has had more up's than downs (Money rate is a bummer) but I work abroad on a month rotation so dont have to worry about a drop in wages just because I know live in Poland.

The life style is what you make it if you want to live like you did in the UK it just cost slightly more.

Life / Racist violence in Poland [172]

Poland is a very good place to be but if your colour of skin is not white then unfortunately this is where a majority of Polish people let them selves down.

I could not recomend any non white guy yo live in Poland, as they realy do in most cases that I have personaly seen get a hard time.

Sorry if this offends any one (It is not meant to) but I can only give my own personal experiance of living in Poland.

UK, Ireland / We welcome Polish people to Britain! [224]

So far in the North of Scotland I have not seen to many racist remarks about the Polish imigrant workers.

But next year the UK growth is set to slow down and unemployment rise, this will see a rise in incidents involving Polish people and British people (I hope I am wrong)

Real Estate / I am English, 40, want to sell my home and move to Poland [17]

My advise would be to move to Poland but only part-time for a start I am sure you could work in london and fly to a new home in Poland at the weekends this way it gives you time to adjust.

I moved to Poland (Gdansk) about a year ago and so far so good
