Love / What are your views (or Polish views) on abortion? [102]

Well, I think the moment men are also able to be tortured by pressing a cannonball (after wearing it with us for 9 months) out of our arseholes the women will more readily share the responsibility with us.

Another feminist. You should be expelled from the EU! Where is Harry to condemn this awful discrimination?!

How many times are we going to go over this very old boring topic.

I guess as long as people like you will repeat this old boring song. So, blame yourself.

I believe it is not human life until it's life can be sustained outside of the mother's womb.

You are making your opinions based on personal belief, while scientific knowledge stand on my side.

As for the man's decision to say "I don't want this child", he should have thought of this before he impregnated the woman. Abstinence or birth control methods usually work quite well, when used properly. If the baby is brought to term, he should equally responsible for the care and upbringing of the child.

This is pure discrimination of the men. I must remind you that discrimination based on sex is forbidden in the EU! :)))) Firstly you deny them the rights to their children and later you force them to pay. This is some kind of radical feminism in action.

No, if the baby is delivered healthy, the man should pay for the upbringing of the child.

What about unhealthy (whatever that means!) child??
Such child don't deserve financial support of a men (called 'father' in backward circles)? (I don't even mention moral support...)
This is women fault?

Bandera bike rally in Poland.

They will need permanent police assistance to survive this 'rally'. :)

I can hardly imagine some better gift to our Russian fsb-friends ...

News / Rydzyk gets away with racism yet again [198]

he is, but is not a good Catholic monk. I don't think envy is the problem here.

This is just pathetic human nature skilfully manipulated by ideologically hostile (towards the CC) mainstream media. Rydzyk is not typical representative of the clergy but certainly a good target for the enemies of the church (like GW for example). If he would not be so successful then he would not gain so much of their attention.

No comment, say whatever you want, the world will judge

The world?? What a silly statement! :)

purely linguistically it was some racist remark but for sure it wasn't his intention to say something like "Welcome ni..er".

This is how I see it as well.

Pls do not forget he is a very much public figure, having his own media,

You really dont know or just try to be funny? Is not secret in Poland that he is very active in stock market (lost in millions) and owner of a bentley. Not that rich to be on forbes list though.

You have absolutely no idea and apparently no shame if you spread false informations and did not bother to check the sources.

By whether a child will have a healthy life, or it could end up with the mothers life being taken due to complications during the birthing process.

I agree with second option, if for example three unrelated specialist would rule out that there is serious threat for women life indeed. One for one is fair excuse.

But first option is so imprecise. Practically all babies could be killed using such excuses. When a child would be healthy enough to satisfy deciders? This is also kind of prophecy, while we know examples when women give a birth to supposed sick baby and everything was OK.

Times have moved on mate, the oath evolves with the times.

Wait! You claimed to be non-believer and if I understand correctly you suggest that Hippocrates resurrected , changed his mind and wrote completely different oath! :)

I kinda bored of the convo really, closed mindedness is a real convo killer for me.

No wonder that you are bored, it turned pretty miserable for you... :)

Love / What are your views (or Polish views) on abortion? [102]

So you are saying that women should not bother men when they become pregnant. Go and have a baby, I'll be on holiday! Call me if you want another!

Some women simply lost their life instinct :) They don't really realize for what they are preaching. On other hand many men would find such situation very comfortable, one cannot deny :)

Love / What are your views (or Polish views) on abortion? [102]

That stands true untill you have situation that the life in the womb is worth risking the carriers life.

Really? Let me know about criteria and who is a decider?

If I didnt, i still wouldn't be a registered nurse. Still what are you talking about, cos i really am lost with this....what oath are we speaking about now, medical?

Well, a registered nurse don't know text of Hippocratic oath... I think that before bureaucrats made registration to be obligatory this knowledge was more widespread among nurses! LOL! Please allow an engineer of electrotechnics to arrive with a help :)

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hippocratic_Oath#Original

I will not give a lethal drug to anyone if I am asked, nor will I advise such a plan; and similarly I will not give a woman a pessary to cause an abortion.

Ah but I already know that from previous debates with you, that your opinion is only ruled by your religion.

This is very comfortable attitude from your perspective, one cannot deny... :) I mean to reduce all my motives always to religious beliefs. This is how you think that you can get away without debating rationally. Don't even try to pretend that there was not plenty of religious people much smarter than you. People who had scientific knowledge

superiority to yours in practically all branches of science. You would look very silly if you would claim otherwise :)

Love / What are your views (or Polish views) on abortion? [102]

I don't, because when you add emotion to the equation, you end up making the wrong decisions. To be able to have an outside view and not get attached is a good ability, it allows you to think with logic, not emotional attachments. For example I have one pill that can cure a 79 year old from her terminal sickness, or save a child's life who is suffering from same sickness.... who do I give the pill to? Obviously the child as he/she will prosper more, and live for a longer time.

But you are the one who is ruled by emotions as I stated earlier. Otherwise you would not write about poverty because this is not a subject of this thread.

If it wasn't for these so called hippocrates, I doubt JP2nd would have lasted as long as he did. Maybe you want to think carefully why there is an oath? It was really stupid thing to say I think, it shows your maturity on the subject.

Oath stand in defence of human life, literally oppose abortions. You really need to educate yourself...

his is really strange, once you accuse me of following a hippocratic oath, then you accuse me of too emotional??? Will you make up your mind?

Nonsense, you don't follow oath and I never claimed otherwise.

Following an oath..... from you that is even funnier 10 commandment boy. Who pushes your "oaths" on other people. Again back to subject, as religion has nothing to do with this topic.

Gosh, you really have some obsession! In our little conversation you are the only one who is writing about religion over and over. I did not mention religion even once, are you blind?

He doesn't had bad intentions. Simply Father Rydzyk rarely make any sense (very poor speaker), he should rather concentrate on business activity. He is a great manager and that is mostly why many people hate him. Envy!

Love / What are your views (or Polish views) on abortion? [102]

I never said that I have a difficulty with understanding it. Please change your tone when you are speaking to adults/and or children because it is really getting annoying Lesser.

Neither I wrote that you have a difficulty with understanding it.

What is really annoying? Uneducated people who are willing to target innocent life? People who use language from feminist handbooks? People who suggest somebody else supposed intellectual limitations being nothing special themselves? I guess this is matter of individual preferences.

Take ur time mate, id love for u to challenge what is considered world wide practised medical knowledge.
My beliefs are based on the faxt ive seen many kids die, turn to crime, or even kill themselves cos they didnt have families there....ur experience is going to come from a book published 2000 years ago which has less facts than the lord of the rings yes?

Yes medical knowledge about this issue stand unchanged since Hippocrates wrote his oath. Nothing strange because it belong to "more than obvious" sort of knowledge. You need rather think why your belief are sooooooo backward.

You have wrote about your emotions. Sorry but people ruled by emotions (like you) or by dirty cash (abortion business) should not be allowed to decide who have a chances to become successful and who does not. Nobody should be allowed! I'm sure that many from this targeted group could become smarter than for example you. Anyway poverty is not any reason to kill, poor people are needed as well. Every employer would tell you this!

But if they become single mothers the state will also have to support them and over a longer period of time.....maybe this suits government?

Current western statehood, this is nothing else than pathology which create many pathological situations. Of course more and more people depend from the state, more and more such situation suit to political establishment. No doubt about it. Still people should think about their own family first and reject state interventionism.

While lonely mother should simply find a new men. Most of them should also use their brain this time... This is again century's old knowledge. :)

I already did. See Post #19.

I criticized this approach and you did not reply. I understand because you have no proper arguments.

Finally I want to know, whether a men have a right to reject a child without any consequences? After all you claim that a baby is supposed to be women body. Flawed logic applied leads to many pathologies. If all feminist demands would be applied then life of average women would become very miserable.

Love / What are your views (or Polish views) on abortion? [102]

The right of abortion is left to the mother alone, it is a life choice, not religious ( like the CC ever knew something about family values). It is a decision to be taken by the parent. For me it isnt to be forced on someone. People make mistakes sometimes... 25 weeks is enough time to make the decision.

So when you already presented your beliefs, please answer to my non-religious arguments. I promise to comment tomorrow.

Yes, please do.

You cannot answer yourself?

you should be the one to help rising the daughters child.

Once again, this is about responsibility.

oh please and the people who teach this faith - Catholic priests - abusing young boys and having children with their housemaids!!! Great example

You know, collectivism in scientific circles is widely considered to be mental sickness.

Love / What are your views (or Polish views) on abortion? [102]

yeah, why not just be honest and open about it? Geez people, we live in the 21st Century.

Yeah, in the age of stupidity. In the past people were at least aware of their intellectual capabilities. Today every fool has high opinion about himself/herself.

there we go again, a bunch of men who are so informed about the difficulties of getting an abortion in Poland.

Abortion is forbidden except some rare cases. What is so difficult to understand about it?

Personally i think abortion is horrible, i mean you screwed up, own up to it and take your responsability, you were mature enough to put your legs in the air, be now mature to take responsability.

The problem is that people in out times escape from all responsibilities. They think that the state should care about them and such attitude backfiring on all fronts. After all those with low respect for human life not only think that they can decide about somebody's else life but also demand government (via other taxpayers) to finance this barbarity. That is lack of responsibility per excellence!

It is a woman's decision. Period.

Really? Even if we ignore that this is new human life with different DNA... I think that this should work in other way around as well! What about supposed right of the men to say "F*ck off, I don't want this child! Farewell! " If women give a bright she could not demand any help from such brave man.

What you demand is animalization of human relations. There are many men who would take advantage out of this situation. Currently they act otherwise because there is no social agreement for such behaviour. This may change very quickly... We will end in caves once again with this little exception that modern cave would have cable TV in standard. After all someone must run this world and shallow minds must be properly conditioned.

History / Russia: Poland responsible for WW II [300]

Only insane lunatic may wage a war against a nation. Nevertheless if such war would appear, it certainly have little to do with dictator himself. Aggressor would be a collectivist.

Usually wars are fight between states. One could wage a war against the state to remove a dictator, monarch, democratic or pseudo-democratic (like so called representative democracy) regime.

History / Russia: Poland responsible for WW II [300]

Germany started WWII. Hitler acted as the head of the German state.

Hitler was the head of Third Reich. You can make lawsuit against individual (for example head of state) or against the state. While you cannot make lawsuits against nation.

Law / Karta Polaka - Do I share the rights of my polish card holder husband? [11]

In the other hand I'm dissppointed about the policies of EU and Poland.

What to expect from greedy bureaucrats without any willingness to serve the people or simple grasp of reality. This "Karta Polaka" thing from their perspective was aimed to create their image as a 'patriots' and not help any people or solve any problem in Poland itself.

History / Russia: Poland responsible for WW II [300]

I did not read this particular book, however I know a bit his stance from other reading. The bloody war between Third Reich and USSR without any western involvement would be for sure attractive option for the west. However I don't think that Hitler was that predictable and so concentrated on the east only. Like Buchanan we can just guess what would happen if...? This might be interesting book to read because this author is known from courage of raising controversial thesis and lack of political correctness.

The point is that this is logically impossible to answer how everything started from nothing. There is nothing from nothing and this is scientific axiom. This is why I don't understand people who say that there is no God and cannot provide any alternative concept.

History / 64th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising [71]

If God forbid, our country will be overrun by mad occupants once again and youngsters lead by romantic fools rise again without any real hopes for victory and without any political sense at all ( Third Reich already lost this war at that time) ,those Poles who celebrate this event these days will have their little share of responsibility in this tragedy. Romantic myths containing catastrophes should be crushed and not cultivated.

PS: Why not replace independent day by anniversary of partitions of Poland? I think that second option better fit to current mental developments in Poland...

That would be a good argument if Poland had limited itself to taking only the parts of the region which had been Polish from 1918 to 1920. But Poland didn't limit itself to taking only those parts, they took more. In fact they even took territory which had never been part of Cieszyn!

A pity that Poland did not took whole Czechoslovakia. I understand that Nazis are disappointed that cute Adi failed to grab these lands from the start.

Times change, new facts come to the surface and new highly competent people express their opinions.

For example? Who would you chose to replace Vatican?

The Pope may consult others but in the end it is his personal interpretation that makes him pick and choose from among all the other personal interpretations.

Yes but decision of highly competent person (a Pope) after consultation with other highly competent people is worth of trust. You must have noticed that I'm an elitist and I find such order natural. I reject individual initiatives of average ignorants and you cannot deny that 'Germanic' protestantism often turned to be a complete joke because of such people and their interpretations.

Competent or not they had personal views and decided to agree on some of them.

I agree and I accept their interpretation because I consider them to be highly competent representatives of 'old successful brand'.

Not Catholic?
Isn't the Pope and individual? He has the power (and won't refrain from using it) to define his personal interpretation of the bible.

You are mistaken if you think that Pope make his decision without any consultations. Even Pope cannot change everything according to his wishes.

The entire Catholic religion IS a set of personal interpretations of the Bible.

Through the centuries highly competent people regarding this subject reached some consensus. In our church it is job of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith to oversees Catholic doctrine. Individual initiatives this is Protestant thing.

Torq, apparently I misunderstood your point but I have a feeling that I'm not the only one who interpreted your post in such way. Naturally this is hard to imagine that you could force anybody to be Christian, so this is pretty obvious and not worth of discussion in my opinion.

Source please?

There are many concepts that simply do not exist.

For example a concept that God doesn't exist? :)

Very simply. I stick to the ultra-traditionalist view (held by the God himself)
that every man has a free will, so if God gives every man a free will then who
am I to deny this right to anyone?

This is wrong and illogical interpretation. Who are you that you think that you could strip anybody of his free will if you would want? This is impossible, so don't pretend otherwise. Your children will chose their own way later anyway. This is up to you to help them to obtain knowledge.

A person who call itself Catholic follow Catholic teaching and not making up personal interpretation of the Bible. Christianity is about evangelizing, if you discovered truth as you believe, this is your obligation to share it with others.

Would you also wait till your children discover truth on their own about other less important matters? Or perhaps you will try to tell them what you have learned? Most parents chose the second option and this is the only reasonable solution that used to push humankind forward.

There is no God.

Source please?

My Parents never forced me to do anything and they raised me a free man, allowing
me to make my own choice about religion. This is exaclty how I am going to raise
my kids. If they choose to be Catholics, I'll be very happy, if they don't - I won't
mind.

Recently I had little satisfaction because I managed to convince my atheist friend at work that he should allow his daughter to raise Catholic. I used quite cynical (and logical) argument destined to atheists with at least a bit of conservative leanings. I would not dare to raise such argument debating with a Catholic, especially the one who claim to be traditionalist. Torq, in the first place I don't understand how you manage to be traditionalist and hold such view as above? You must be some kind of ultra-modernist traditionalist. :)

News / Poland among the greatest enemies of Russia [112]

Free movement of labor and capital will create peace and between these three countries. People will honor the past but move on from it. Look at Scotland and England or Ireland. Free capital and labor flow created partners out of enemies. This was the philosophy of Adam Smith.

I'm not in favour of free movement of labour with Russia. Significant part of Russian citizens consist from people civilizationally alien to us. They would have serious problems with assimilation living most likely in ethnic ghettoes. Reasonable immigration policy must contain some degree of discrimination in such cases.

History / A few thoughts after plowing through most "Sabaton: 40-1" comments on YouTube [59]

1) Why did it take some obscure Swedish power metal band to make this story publicly known? Why isn't this great tale taught in every grade school in Poland?

If Poles would start to teach their children about all victories then they would be lacking time to tell them about all catastrophes, while this is priority of every healthy nation.

2) Why isn't there a street named after Cpt. Raginis in every Polish town?

No chance for that, wait few years and you will see plenty of new streets named after Geremek, Michnik, Kuron, Mazowiecki and similar "democratic heroes". There wont be any space to leave to any decent people.

3) Why did he only get Virtuti Militari 4th Class?

If I could guess then I would say that he was anti-German (eventually anti-Jewish). Being anti-German during the war against Germany is unthinkable according to current Polish elites. :)

4) And finally... why hasn't there been a movie made about Wizna yet? Are straightforward, patriotic movies a la "300" too un-PC these days? If Raginis had been an American, there would've been 10 Hollywood hurrah fests made about him by now, with Clooney and Brad Pitt lining up for another remake (these are the Days of Endless Remakes, after all).

Wait, firstly let the Poles to film all their catastrophes vide Katyn.
