What are your views (or Polish views) on abortion?

I know lots of Mothers privately advice their daughters to be cautious (use protection) or abort-in-case-of-accident. It seems like this is a universal issue across all cultures. I am curious about what Polish opinions (or anyone's views) are on this issue. Running concurrent with this is the issue of whether it is acceptable or you think it is advisable to abort if the pregnancy is of an interracial fetus (e.g. East Asian/South Asian/Black/Latino & Polish woman).

The reason I ask is because I know this girl who is terrified of interracial relationships (publicly) as she believes it is a serious Taboo for Polski. However, she has been with (I'll say dated) a few Non-Poles and actually has gotten pregnant a couple times now; each time she aborted the fetus. Is it me or is this odd? I mean, it looks like the heart wants what the heart wants; why fight it in that case?

Let me know your opinion about this matter(s). Thank you.

Try a UK forum. There were reportedly thousands of abortions by Polish women there. Very moral ;) ;)

That sounds about right, talking a good game but doing sth completely different.

Here you go sweets.

This article mentions abortion tourism and talks about destinations.

federa.org.pl/english/public/whoabor1.htm

Be careful with the article and the website.
The organization that published the article has a strong bias toward legalizing abortion in Poland.
And they are using all the classic rhetorical techniques to argue the case on their website.

But your scenario sounds perfectly reasonable.
Especially given the ignorance and "selective catholicism" of many Polish Women.
And the social pressures that exist in Poland.

This could be a hot topic.
But I think extremely interesting and educational.

Don't let some of the young vocal girls on the forum scare you.
Or the young guys that are trying to impress the girls by agreeing with them.

Most of them are only talk and little else.

I hope this helps.

I think a polish girl should not date such scammers in first place.
Second slavic girls avoid condoms and this is known to everyone travelling there.(don't ask the causes).

there we go again, a bunch of men who are so informed about the difficulties of getting an abortion in Poland.

It is mostly an issue for a woman not for men to even voice any opinion about abortion and make a judgement about it. I am sure that there are a lot of women who are just suffering and are stressed out over it and since there are no services available in Poland they often to outside of the country to have an abortion.

actually has gotten pregnant a couple times now

There are so many ways of contraception to avoid pregnancy/abortion. Multiple abortions can also decrease fertility (not good for the future). Is she retarded?

Sex is great. But you have to be a little careful because you only have one body. But it's old news that some people don't care about their own, or other people's, health. It's not only abortions. Even very common STDs can make you infertile. And remember that there are some common STDs which there is no cure for.

To be honest if i ever had children and my daughter was pregnant, if she were under the age of 16 and i knew about it, i would have it aborted. No 'CHILD' is prepared or ready to look after a baby, yes they may be able to 'create' the baby but no way are they ready to look after it.

After the age of 16, then the decision is hers and her partners (if he is about) and nothing to do with me, i would support her either way she decided.

Well agreed with you on that no child is ready for a baby. but I would tell her to give it up for adoption rather then to kill it.my mother and I shared the same views when came to abortions we dont belive in it. yes have sex but use birth control it causes less problems its smart.

I hope you are talking only about getting pregnant, sex should not be an issue if its done protected.

I think a polish girl should not date such scammers in first place.

Hahahaha hilarious, i didnt think i was tunning KKK international broadcasting CO.

Personally i think abortion is horrible, i mean you screwed up, own up to it and take your responsability, you were mature enough to put your legs in the air, be now mature to take responsability.

to put your legs in the air,

and the men were happy enough to take advantage ;)

you were mature enough

Some are just children themselves and not mature.

look how many babies and young children are being abused and neglected and even murdered because somebody became a parent when they should not have.

I think it would be better if focus was on prevention or support, but in life not everything works like that.

i guess we have to be in that situation to completly understand it, i myself have seen many people around me having an abortion, it gave me a bitter taste, i mean does not matter if is just a featus, is still a human...I guess im too old-fashioned in that aspect.

But yeah, girls and boys, use condoms, dont screw up!

And they say Poles and Polish émigrés are so staunchly Catholic, but it seems there isn't a single Catholic on this forum. I mean a practising, not a lapsed Catholic. The Catholic faith teaches that premarital and extramarital copulation is a sin, and abortion is murder, pure and simple. Nobody has to be a Catholic, of course. It's always easier to go with the flow, take the easy way out, be fat, fÅ‚abby and decadent, and do what is pleasant and expedient. So be it.

True only if you end up being married.
Otherwise it is not a premarital sex :)

Yeah, in the age of stupidity. In the past people were at least aware of their intellectual capabilities. Today every fool has high opinion about himself/herself.

there we go again, a bunch of men who are so informed about the difficulties of getting an abortion in Poland.

Abortion is forbidden except some rare cases. What is so difficult to understand about it?

Personally i think abortion is horrible, i mean you screwed up, own up to it and take your responsability, you were mature enough to put your legs in the air, be now mature to take responsability.

The problem is that people in out times escape from all responsibilities. They think that the state should care about them and such attitude backfiring on all fronts. After all those with low respect for human life not only think that they can decide about somebody's else life but also demand government (via other taxpayers) to finance this barbarity. That is lack of responsibility per excellence!

It is a woman's decision. Period.

Really? Even if we ignore that this is new human life with different DNA... I think that this should work in other way around as well! What about supposed right of the men to say "F*ck off, I don't want this child! Farewell! " If women give a bright she could not demand any help from such brave man.

What you demand is animalization of human relations. There are many men who would take advantage out of this situation. Currently they act otherwise because there is no social agreement for such behaviour. This may change very quickly... We will end in caves once again with this little exception that modern cave would have cable TV in standard. After all someone must run this world and shallow minds must be properly conditioned.

as stupid point as possible. so youre saying that you would go some fvcked up murderer with a medical diploma and ask him to kill your grandchild? if your daughter is pregnant when shes underage it means that you were not and still you are not ready to be her father. parents are to protect ther children and teach them some common rules. if they dont they have to face the consequenses and help them with their problems. you should be the one to help rising the daughters child.

The Catholic faith teaches that premarital and extramarital copulation is a sin,

oh please and the people who teach this faith - Catholic priests - abusing young boys and having children with their housemaids!!! Great example

You know, collectivism in scientific circles is widely considered to be mental sickness.

The right of abortion is left to the mother alone, it is a life choice, not religious ( like the CC ever knew something about family values). It is a decision to be taken by the parent. For me it isnt to be forced on someone. People make mistakes sometimes... 25 weeks is enough time to make the decision.
