Balice is surprisingly close to Krakow though, plenty of transport options.

About 70PLN by taxi to the centre if I recall

you're probably gonna shop in a some sort of a shopping centre so you'll just put everything you need into the basket and pay for it a the register,

yes, avoid the small shops, because quite a few things will be kept behind the counter and you will need to ask for it.
also, i found out that when buying alcohol in Carrefour you need to pay for that at a seperate till in the alcohol aisle.

i think they stopped the gatwick to warsaw flights a while back (now flying from heathrow), another source of annoyance to me.

I'm moving to Krakow soon and quite fancy the idea of renting a desk in an office (with internet connection, don't need a phone) as an alternative to working from home.

Anyone got any recommendations (not far from the centre of Krakow). What is the Polish phrase for such business centres?
