News / Air-show accident in Poland [81]

Oooops....better correct the load of rubbish i just stated about the aircraft flying over my farm before someone else does......The planes flying over my farm are not su 27,s thats the one that looks similar to the mig 29...These beasts are either the su 22 or 24 , the su 22 is the single seat fighter version , and the su24 is the ground attack aircraft..(two seater)..They come over my farm at chimney pot height sometimes...I thought they must be the ground attack version , as they fly so low , but all the ones i have seen appear to be single seaters , so they must be the su22 , i guess they are practicing flying under radar...very impressive stuff....

Life / My neighbours in Poland are stealing all my things [180]

Hey don,t worry about it....People on here give a bit of stick now and then, but most don,t get really nasty...You are entitled to say what you feel , but you can expect to get a few comebacks if you say anything about race or colour ...There are people on both sides of this argument , and it seems to be the subject that upsets people the most....best avoided really......

Life / My neighbours in Poland are stealing all my things [180]

The Poles came and stole all the fish out of the pound

No matter what the subject Michal manages to come up with some story that makes out the Polish nation consists entirely of beggers thieves and scoundrels...I have just had a whole pile of my stuff nicked by Polish people, but nevertheless remain convinced that most Polish people are great folks...What the hell happened to Michal.....?

Life / My neighbours in Poland are stealing all my things [180]

I heard a story that a bunch of Polish guys stole a bulldozer , used it to push a ton of earth into a large pond ,and then stole all the fish that were displaced along with the water...made me smile a bit

Oh excuse my bad spelling,

Don,t worry about the spelling , its a whole lot better than some of the English people on here than claim to be educated....I know the Heaton area of Bradford , I used to deliver stuff around there when i was a motorcycle courier...Bulgaria is one place i haven,t been to yet ,but i did watch a few programmes on tv about buying property there , and it looks like a good place to live....Landrovers , i love em , simple and will go anywhere , just like me....Let me know how you get on with chatting to Beata , you should not have any language problem , her English is not bad ...have a nice day...Ian..

Law / Rules for exporting bikes from Poland? [13]

How hard is it to bring a bike from the states to poland and register it

Not really sure on that one , i have been living here for two years , and mine is still registered in UK...I am told by friends that as long as you have all the documents to say the bike is yours , then registering it with a Polish registration is not a big problem... Can i ask why you want to bring one all the way from the states to Poland..? Unless the bike is very rare , or very special , you would find it a whole lot cheaper to buy one over here...If the love of your life is a HARLEY . then don,t worry , there are plenty of dealers in Poland.....Tell me more...

Eeee by gum....I spent many a happy hour wandering along the cliff tops in Scarborough , and a fair bit of time in Bradford...Which part of bradford were you born,,?

I first came to Poland in 1997 on route to Belarus with a convoy of Landrovers i organised and led...Fell in love with Poland while passing through , and in 2004 i bought an old run down farm here (its still old and run down)....Incidentally the farm cost the huge sum of 15 grand , so if your company is thinking of opening an office in Poland you will find its not to much dosh to do so....You will find on this forum there are a few people only too ready to leap at your throat no matter what you say...don,t let it worry you too much , most of em are ok.......

News / Air-show accident in Poland [81]

Maybe so , but the Sukhoi su 23 and 27 are pretty old aircraft, and they seem to have plenty of them flying over my head....and i believe they are training pilots in these aircraft...Its very intersting for an English aircraft fan to have these Russian planes fly over, and i look forward to seeing the Mig 29,s ...

News / Air-show accident in Poland [81]

There are no Russian/Soviet training aircraft in the Polish Air Force

I hate to disagree Grzegorz , but there are Russian built arcraft in the Polish air force....The planes from Swidwin air base fly over my farm very low , low enough to see they are Sukhoi su 27,s , made in Russia.....This base is now training with Mig 29 ,s which in my opinion are an awesome aircraft....Russian aircraft are often not as high tech as western planes , but they are not rubbish , and Polish ground crews are as competant as any other in the world.......

Life / My neighbours in Poland are stealing all my things [180]

why you had upped it for Poland????

I fell in love with Poland during aid trips i organised and led to Belarus , and no my mum had nothing to do with it , i left home when i was 16 , so wasn,t that close to her...I had planned on it being tough out here for the first year till i sold my house in UK , but this house is no longer mine , so i now have to wait for the sale of another house....When it happens i will be rich...till then i just gotta hang in there and do my best to survive......I don,t want to go into details about my security of the Harley , but lets just say any attempt to steal it would be a painfull mistake....

Infact I had a Harley

So , you had a Harley , then perhaps you can understand why i ain,t gonna part with it no matter how tough things get.....I suppose if became a matter of life and death i would sell it , but its not that bad , just a little tough at times...And on a practical level it is cheap on fuel...I need to have transport for any work offers...Sorry you lost yours , i believe they should hang bikesthieves , like they used to with horse thieves in the wild west....
