It would be nice to wait and see if the two gunmen were English first anyway. That part of London has a number of Yardie and Albanian drug gangs and if this was indeed a drug related shooting there is a reasonable chance they were not English

are you going to apologise on behalf of all the poles who have killed brits whilst driving recklessly and drunk...

or just ignore the fact that they have killed more innocent brits in the uk than brits have killed poles...?

UK was supposed to have no guns except for the police.

Our police aren't allowed guns. This is so stupid!!!! Bring back capital punishment, get the police SOME form of arms and our streets would be a bit safer, don't you agree? This happens all too often x

Our police aren't allowed guns.

Some are. Plus, there are armed response teams in many, if not all cities in the UK. An armed police officer wouldn't have prevented the recent deaths that I have read about.

But a lot less people would dare to buy guns and shoot people on the street in broad daylight, don't you think? It happens a lot, I read about it, hear it in the news etc etc.

As for capital punishment, does anyone here remember the death of 2 year old James Bulger, who was killed by two 10 year old boys? His body was so badly mutilated that his mother was not allowed to see him. They have now been let free, given plastic surgery (on the NHS!!) and new names. People defend them and say they were young etc, but they were old enough to know what they were doing, and the difference between life and death. Also, if they did this at 10, what will they be capable of now?! They should have been shot right then, right there. For those of you who don't know the story, here's the link. Now tell me no to capital punishment.

This guy really hates the English...maybe English people should not be allowed on this forum...Perhaps he would like to form death squads to hunt down Brits living in Poland...I live near Ostrowice by the way..anyone locally will point out where my farm is....

I heard on the BBC that most guns are entering the UK through ports such as Falmouth.
The regional border security teams were moved away from places like this to protect major airports such as Heathrow,
leaving many ports virtually unchecked.

My condolences to the family and friends of the victim of this sick crime.
Rest in peace.

A Polish care worker shot in the head when she walked into a gangland fight in London. Jesus, what is happening my country?

This just confirms why I want to bring my daughter up in Poland and not the UK as it seems to be going crazy there with gun crime. Every week now it seems that someone is shot, sister shot by brother, news.google.co.uk/news?oe=UTF-8&hl=en&tab=wn&ie=UTF-8&q=brother+shot+s ister&btnG=Search

Schoolboy Rhys Jones was shot dead on a Liverpool estate.

I could go on and on, but it is too depressing. And before anyone says the Police should armed, I don't think any of these situations would change if they were.

I think what is needed is more shocking tactics in the classroom, showing kids what the results of gun crime from the family’s perspective i.e. the devastation it causes to family after they have a lost a family member. Maybe then, they would realize the sheer destruction it causes to a family.

Guns in Britain. Current statistics are hard to come by but this was reported in 2005

guardian.co.uk/gun/Story/0,2763,1647293,00.html

Britain is one of the few places in the world in which the vast majority of police officers are unarmed. Just under 7,000 in England and Wales currently carry firearms - about 10% of the Metropolitan police in London and 5% elsewhere, although it varies from force to force, depending on operational requirements.

· Gun crime in Britain has almost trebled in the past eight years, from 4,903 incidents in 1997 to 11,160 in the past year (2005), 28% of which involved imitation weapons. Sixty people were shot dead last year (2004), down from 70 in the previous 12 months.

· Police believe there are almost 300,000 illegal guns in Britain. Much gun violence is gang and drug-related. Three-quarters of those killed or maimed in shootings in London are black, as are 80% of the gunmen, statistics mirrored in several other English cities.

The bottom line is that as the proportion of Poles resident in the UK reaches 1 in 70, they will suffer a similar proportion of crimes.

We all know who is committing these gang gun murders-virtually all the killers and victims have been young black people. This poor young woman was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and caught in the crossfire.60 gun killings per year in a population of 61 million is not so high.

Jesus, what is happening my country?

- 'Multiculturalism,' brother. Compare Canada. Before the huge non-European immigration wave that started in early 1990s and is still going, there weren't known and heard of in Canadian cities gory gang fights, drug traffik, drive-by shootings, massive credit card fraud, etc. pleasantries.

PS. More of you Brits (and also some good Canadians, such as Shawn) should move over to Poland. In spite of frequent poverty, Poland is relatively normal - yet.
