plus at the time its been written it was quite rare to see a black person in Poland

I remember I was like 7 in Krakow when I saw a black person for the first time... it was kinda exotic lol

I have tons of friends now, all different colors. :)

Travel / I'm going to Krakow! [14]

Finally it's time to go back. I moved to Chicago when I was 9 and never been back. Now at 27, it's time to visit the motherland :)

I will be down in mid/late July... I'm gonna be staying at my grandmas home in Krakow. If anyone here wants to get togather sometime, hit me up. I will be there for atleast 2 weeks but hopefully a full month, got a lot of catching up to do :D

Time to smooth out my polish I guess lol

Plan on visiting Zakopane/Nowy Targ, Gdansk, Katowice, Kielce, and Gdansk. Extended families I have not seen since I was a little boy :) I'm not sure if Warsaw is worth going to but I might have to check out the capitol. Although I really want to dedicate my whole trip to Zakopane and Krakow. I was born in Nowy Targ but moved to Krakow at 4 and lived there until I moved. I have pretty vivid memories of my childhood.

Life / Legally changing my Polish name to English one? [55]

it's getting boring trying to have to say your name 5 times for people to catch it lol

plus I think I'll have a better opportunity of becoming successful with an english name... friends and family will still call me Voytek but I'd rather go by something else at the workplace. I'm 27 and have been thinking about this for 17 years, might never happen the way its going now lol

my middle name is marcin and now its martin

my first name is Wojtek (Voytek)... thinking of changing it to something else too... translation says Albert but I dont like being called Al :)
