2009-10-05 4,52 4,29 3,68 1,89

price for 1 liter of ON in UK is lets just say 1.03 Pound

so not to far away from uk piices

They ( prices ) are taken from random polish website, but to be honest I remember when I was in PL a couple weeks ago I paid over 4,00 PLN ( or I honestly can not remember but was something close to 4.00 ) for a litre of diesel

UK, Ireland / What is good about being in the UK? [140]

OsiedleRuda
thats probably explanation why a British born Pole could not stand that pressure to be a Pole and British in one time and punched Leona Levis right in the face to show how not happy he is.

The best of it is we have a wave of polish sociologists in UK and IRL who are trying to sort the problem out and no any of them seem to even put a simple sentence on these forums.

and.....there are virtually no Poles from UK/IRL here
any clues why?

UK, Ireland / What is good about being in the UK? [140]

most of these welfare allowances and other state benefits are making people lazy .it makes me sick, some Poles most probably losers who want to live in ghettos would go for it, no any person with self respect and a future in Poland would even consider to live on benefits alienated from hostile local community in environment where in every media you can watch, hear or read news giving bad names about Poles or better ( to **** off us probably )

- Eastern Europeans - but rarely taking responsibility for words and too lazy to publicize valid stats and avoid like a focker disease subjects about other non white people

What is good being in the UK? is this question asked to Poles who live in UK, Brits from UK or British living in Poland and missing tacos and other stuff?

why my post was sent to off topic and you keep other meaningless posts about crisps?
crisps culture heh?

Why don't you write what you "like" about the UK instead of writing what you hate?
It might stop your post going to off-topic

I think the fact that we're not allowed to post in Polish may have something to do with it; this is not an issue on proper Polish forums of course.

is this your answer? 200000 ( or who the hell know the numbers ) Poles in UK, nearly no any of them here? are they deaf or what?

UK, Ireland / Who can keep right to speak its own language in UK [22]

good question :)
recently I was watching BBC program about Welsh and other one about history of black people in UK
I got an impression that everybody who have a right to live here can speak English and can keep native language as well. Welsh have a right to speak its own language cos they are from Britain, Indians can speak Punjabi, Pakistanis and Bangladeshi can communicate in theirs languages as well cos they are part of old good Commonwealth, Africans can keep their Nigerian languages cos they are ex slave country which English impose on them long time ago and so on.

But ... if we can not get one language alike lingua franca we wont be able to communicate or maybe that would stir a racial/culture conflicts. I am a bit confused.

Poles are completely off that English history stuff, we are the first offspring of EU new regulations with lesser incomes that's we migrate here. Some of us are a part of good old 2nd Polish Republic who fought during WW2, but not too many of them compare to a new wave after 2004.

Any thought on the subject?

ps
mods , give me a short explanation why this thread is not conected to polish case?
What I am trying to do is to point a problem , which Poles have to take for consideration when they live in UK and try to fit in

If this thread becomes about the Polish language in the UK it will be moved back, currently it's about every other language and not Polish.

good question :)

Life / Are there any neutral or positive stereotypes of poles? [40]

What about to be a blue collars? are these stereotypes positive negative or neutral?
Judging by characters played in The Wire ( already famous American television drama series) Poles or rather Polish Americans work in docks - menial jobs, Jews are lawyers, blacks are drug dealers or cops, but hey who wrote the script.

Life / How do Polish people view themselves? [92]

They regard themselves superior to Russians and most non-European country's!

so they feel superior to non Europeans ( Africans, Arabs, or Australian aborigines ) but inferior to rest of 'better' Europe?
nice one :) :) :)
