News / Dealing with constant insults against Polish [323]

It's perfectly alright to illustrate your concerns about the whole migration situation we currently have to deal with in Europe, but what Eddien does is throwing discriminatory insults at people who don't deserve any of that.

Thats pretty spot on.

And poland2006, remove you phone number. You should never put your number up on the internet.

UK, Ireland / More and more UK nationals have had enough [22]

one thing I have learnt in my life is not to put people into categories: white, black, Muslim, Jew, asian, chinese, working class, chav, upper class etc. Get to know the person first. Lumping people into one group and saying you are this and this is stupid, snobbish and just fills your heart with resentment and unhappiness.

The inability to do just that is what makes them racist. Poor social skills, inadequacy of some sort and low intelligence. There was a documentary about a sad loner who was responsible for racist and homophobic bombings in London. His own family mocked him and kept asking if he was gay, they sent him to have his genitals inspected because they were so small. All this left him with hatred of Blacks and Gays.

Travel / Snowboarding in Poland [75]

Snowboarding is easy. I gave it up and went back to skiing after an injury.

Travel / Anyone been to Zakopane? [36]

I assume Zakopane would not compare to the skiing you get in say The Three Vally's, Verbier or Val d'Isere
The guys I go skiing with think it might be good for a Christmas week holiday with a lot of time in the Town and not so much skiing, a fair description?

What is Zakopane like? I went there in summer but it seem very different to a Alpine resort. Would hiring a car be a good idea and can you drive to another ski area?

Is the skiing mainly up and down a few slopes or are there ways of up a series of lifts, one after each other?

Snowboarding is easy

Its a lot harder than skiing

Sorry, the evidence just doesn't agree. I learnt how to snowboard with linked turns within 4 hours. Skiing took a week at least and many more weeks since to try and get a reasonable standard.

Last month we took a complete novice to the Three Valleys and he had one lesson. In a few days he was a reasonable compentant boarder

>>>i wish i cuold learn how to snowbored... uhhh

Hire a board book some lessons. Get some padded trousers (for your arse/bum) and wrist guards.

>>>yea thats what i thought
Thats because after 12years, you can Ski. With boarding you will have to make an effort (and get a bit wet, tired and painful)

UK, Ireland / Irish Thoughts on Britain and the British and vice versa [53]

Sorry but this is idealistic/socialistic utopia, If more of "European identification" is imposed on people, It will only backfire in the future with stronger nationalism. The same with deeper integration.

Nationalism dies. The EU has been shown to work, it may take twenty years but it is a very long term project. Look at France and Germany - no chance of them ever going to war again after three wars in 70years. Peace in Ireland has largely come about because of the changes the EU allowed - massive subsidies, increase prosperity and a border that became immaterial.

Yeah, having someone to share the pain with would be nice :)

Off piste if so much better, easier on a board. I've been mulling whether to get a helmet for the past two years - I'm not going to go off - piste without one.

Thanks ogorek

If anyone has more photos, please feel free to post them here. Is there any possibility for Off-Piste. How about Skidoo driven off piste skiing (don't know if thats even possible in the Alps but it must be cheaper than Heli-skiing).

UK, Ireland / Second wave of Polish Immigration to the UK [8]

The Poles who stayed after the war had no choice. Some settles in East Africa, Argentina and Aberdeen. Those I know from Divine Mercy College were either born or grew up in these places.

Modern Poles mainly want to work and return home it would seem, however at least 10% will settle at a guess. I hope so.

Love / I had a Polish female friend. Horror in my mind... [79]

Or she could simply be enjoying sex. Hard as it may seem, she may get better sex, more intersting conversation and more fun from an older man. Its quite amusing how younger guys think they always have an advantage based purely on their age.

As for 9 partners at the age of 19, well you have no way of judging what women get up to, women will lie about their past and do whatever they can get away with. Move away from friends and family and the mice will play.

it would have been nice to be aunified island as infrastructrully it would have made things easier to plan also greater tax generation to fund schools, health - BUT there would have been troubles with terrorism regardless jus the brits starting it instead of the irish.

Thats the reason why there was no simply answer, the 'Brits' as you call them were really a different country from the English, Welsh and Scots. They have been there for so long they they have their own separate identity. Mainland UK public really did and does not want to keep N.Ireland - it has no purpose, financial or patriotic and a lot of downsides. It could be said that the Northern Ireland conflict was a Irish Civil war based on religion. The British Government tried giving the country away, but the Loyalists (that is Loyal to the British) wouldn't have it. Crazy and impossible.

Ok shes probably a young nymphomaniac.. it up to you to decide on whether that a good or bad thing

A certain percentage of woman are, and good for them. You cannot get emotionally attached to someone who is, unless you are able to satisfy their needs sexually. I spent 6months with one, great sex, 2-3 times a day, but it was absolutely crazy and an emotional drain.

I think it is quite normal in a healthy relationship, once when you wake up, after work or so, and then before sleep.

Oh, and in the middle of the night if you happen to wake up

And Lunchtime.

>you mean 2-3 times a day isnt normal?

Apparently not for some people.

>I dont quite understand, since Honesty's profile says female?

Got me too, as he/she sounds like someone broken hearted.

News / Dealing with constant insults against Polish [323]

"Churchill sold Poland to the Russians"

Churchill was the only one who wanted to help the Poles. The Americans sold Poland down the river, they were the only ones who could stand up to Russia, and they didn't.

The Russians defeated the Nazi's. If America had not got involved they would have swept up all the way to the English Channel and stopped there. America involvement in WW2 was minimal. It only got involved because if USSR had defeated the Nazi's, communism would rule the world today. And the the USA would not have the technological advantage that it was give by Britain (Radar, anti-biotics, sonar, asdic, jet engine) and Germany (rocket technology).

American abandoned Britain and Europe for two years and sold Poland down the river for 60.

Love / I had a Polish female friend. Horror in my mind... [79]

Why don't you ask her if she was ever abused?

You do realise that most sexual abuse is done by a close family member and its not a nice accusation to make.
Besides its also an unfounded conclusion based very skimpy knowledge of the woman. A lot of women become promiscuous at some point in their life. I think its best to assume that she likes sex rather that psychoanalysing her from afar.

The US has a problem with child abuse but that is largely because the country is so big. This woman comes from a small town where everybody knows each other. The vast majority of child abuse IS from family members.

I've spoke to quite a few women who's idea of a perfect man comes from fathers or brothers, not surprising that they become the model of a perfect man if that's the main contact they have when growing up. America is not a model for the rest of the world, I think.

Travel / Anyone been to Zakopane? [36]

Ok, Zakopane is not the best ski destination but I accept that and view it as an holiday destination for more than just skiing. My thinking is that it can be a second skiing holiday on the sly - married guys can tell their wives that is a Christmas mountain retreat holiday and get a few days skiing in and leave the women shopping or something.

Hell, anything to get to the mountains.

Its true that 40% of American loses in WW2 were Blue-on-Blue. I.e. caused by the Americans themselves, a figure that hasn't got much better today.

UK, Ireland / My fellow brits here - are "traitors" by not dating English girls? [103]

Its jealousy, pure and simple. Think how you would react if a woman you fancied started chatting up good looking men (ok, you are probably used to it). Women are very sensitive and don't have to put up with that sort of thing very often, so they will use any tool in their book to fight back.

I had an ex-girlfriend pull a knife on another girl because she was jealous.

Lee, where is this club?

Love / What kind of person did your parents or guardians tell you to find? [38]

Judging from the few personal ads I can read before I succumb to hysterics, I think most women's ideal man can be summarised as Prince William. Anything less that a perfect man who is extremely rich and under constant guard to prevent him ever cheating, is just not good enough.

Why on earth women think that 'Prince Charming' will be scanning the internet for missing diamonds, instead of beating them off with a Shi*** stick in real life.

Not surprisingly I've never attempted to reply to personal ads and the world is full of miserable single women in their thirties.

UK, Ireland / Wages - UK and Ireland. [26]

Looking in a London Polish magazine (Cooltura) london rent seems to be £60-70 average. Presumably shared.

The minimum wage sucks, you can earn more being on the dole. This is the reason why the English don't want to do the menial jobs, because they don't pay enough.

A friend I know lost her job as doctor (consultant). Council are going to pay her £1900 month rent in Chelsea. Gone from £70K a year to £56 jobseekers allowance.
