UK, Ireland / POLES SUPERIOR TO BRITS? [260]

AGAIN, you impudently expect gratitude for betraying us! Unbe-fcuking-lievable :-)

Hey, she didn't betray you, because you both weren't even born yet!

;)

Erm... I didn't start this thread.

Talking about all of you in general?

History / Territories of eastern Germany should rightfully belong to Poland? [161]

they had to much fun chasing Gauls and Celts....

Yeah. That would be my ancestors! Fuckíng Romans! Let's bomb Italy!

LOL

Seriously, even Slavic people share the same ancestors?

Edit: Oh, and following your logic, we should invade Belgium and Luxembourg aswell?

Think about it?

I disagree, I think Poland has great potential. I just think most Polish people forgot about their potential (No offense!) during all those years of communism.

Also, I know the truth behind a few stories, and really the Polish fought like lions in Holland, and they managed to liberate the English troops who had found themselves completely surrounded due to a huge mistake and the unwillingness to listen from a certain General who happened to be Montgomery. (This event got covered up shortly after the war because of politics and propaganda, but a while ago, the Polish finally got their reqocnition!)

but there came 1944 and Allies promised to liberate Holland soon if the Dutch underground is actively sabotaging and fighting Germans. The Dutch did as were told, the Allies never came in 1944 (it's not that they did not want to), there were lots of reprise from Germans they took most food from Holland and eventually flooded most of the land - the winter was pretty harsh for the Dutch.

One correction though, our people were actively sabotaging the Germans from the day they found themselves occupied. Many people succesfully hid Jewish.

I have seen the graves of the Dutch underground fighters killed executed in 1944 (some of them were probably actually no fighters like it happened quite often when the German military were involved) and it was as far as at todays German-Dutch border

Some of them were workers who refused to work in factories for the Germans. (Half my family got executed for refusing to work for the Germans!)

People who say that our country suffered little losses, aren't quite aware of the fact that our country only had a small population. (Although it's true that the Germans favoured Aryans, so I guess that most of the Dutch were just lucky to be both blonde and blue eyed!)

Holland declared itself neutral in the beginning. (Not really!) Hey, what do you expect? Their country is twenty times bigger than ours? I'm proud of all our boys though, they've fought extremely well. (And so did the rest!)

:)

It's easy to talk about the whole war in hindsight, but I think we all know that it has been a horrible time for all of Europe. (I understand why the Polish felt betrayed in the aftermath, but really, all of our countries were devastated, and not really ready to fight the Russians.) Had they done that, even more people would've died.

I seriously doubt that would've been good news for Poland?

Love / Please I need advice. Are Polish Girls and Poland Westernizing for the worse? [16]

Hatred between the sexes? Let me ask you one question; How many times can you find the word w-h-o-r-e (Sorry, censor!) in the Bible? How many times can you find an example of an evil woman in the Bible?

;)

It's actually your Bible who teaches hatred between the sexes.

1) How fast are the Polish People abandoning the teachings of the church?

Teachings? You mean lies.

2) How fast are the Polish Ladies entering the European and USA man-hating phase fuled by feminism?

Some men hate women aswell you know, and some men really do their best to disappoint women too, so don't blame everything on the women?

3) How fast is the divorce rate moving up?

How many men drink too much? How many men beat their wives? How many men cheat?

4) How much hatred is there between the sexes.

I live in Holland, and really there's not much hatred between the sexes, I just think some women need to learn how to communicate with men better. (They usually give you those hints and riddles, and really I don't understand half of their games either?)

I'll be honest, when some women are angry with you, they usually have a reason to be angry. (Not saying they always have a good reason, or that it's always completely fair!)

5) Czech People claim that cheating and unhappiness between the sexes is the same in Poland as it is in Czech Republic. But they say that Polish People just do it within the marriage. Hence the low divorce rate. Is it true?

Could be true, I've worked with a lot of married Polish women who were working over here, and left their husbands at home. I've had quite a few offers, but I've always refused to sleep with a married lady. (Not too bad for a non-Christian huh?)

I think you'll find it difficult to find a women anywhere with your attitude. Women just want to have a laugh. They want someone who cares. They want to cheer you up and would like your appreciation. They want you to show some passion, and just have a lot of fun with you. What's so evil about that?

:)

Just be honest and be yourself. Don't be your Bible.

UK, Ireland / POLES SUPERIOR TO BRITS? [260]

Oh,and no arguments,Monty was a tosser, and alleged kiddie fiddler to boot.,still kicked Rommels arse though :)

He did. But the truth is that this battle was critical and decisive. Had the Polish soldiers not done this, the Germans would've defeated the whole regiment, and they would've had more time to re-establish their positions.

Everybody fought their ass off. Oh, and most Germans were just young men who did as they were told. (Or were forced to do.)

And what I mean with cover up was that the Dutch government has been under some political pressure coming from England, not to recoqnize the Polish, (Meaning they never got their medals and recoqnition untill recently!) or to shed more light on this particular event in the war.

The Polish General ended up standing outside an English hotel, welcoming guests for a living.

I know you don't like to hear that, but it's true, and it's also a shame.

Work / Opportunities for Fluent English/Polish Speakers? [7]

I'm a native English speaker and about C1 CEFR level Polish fluency. I took ACTFL oral test and I scored "superior". I also have a Bachelors degree. I know I can get work teaching English easily but what type of bargaining leverage does being bilingual give me in general for any job? Is it a "big deal" or just another skill?

There will definitely be work for you as an English/Polish teacher, or perhaps as a translator, writer or even narrator.

(And if you don't mind me asking, a Bachelor's degree in what direction exactly? Could you be more specific?)

To be honest, if there isn't anything, or little else you have to offer besides being bilingual, then I'd say you shouldn't get your hopes up too high, or expect too many options in other branches of business.

A lot of specialized people are bilingual these days? (Even I am, and I'm just an Electrician!)

You never know what might be available for you, it all depends on who you know, and who you'll get in touch with? So I suppose you'll have to see for yourself.

:)

Good luck!

Love / Confused English man: is she stringing me along or is she confused? [62]

A woman always knows what she wants, if she says she doesnt know it typically translates into "i dont want to give you what you want but i want you around" so be prepared to be her "friend" untill she meets a guy she fancies and dumps you like trash.

Yup..

History / Territories of eastern Germany should rightfully belong to Poland? [161]

I think so too, but I do support humanism.

Which means I try my best to respect someone else whatever his or her vieuws may be, and that I prefer to think outside the box when it comes to a variety of matters, and learn as much as I can from people around me.

It's not white, it's black, it's usually grey. Like my grandfather used to say; ''Only fascists know everything with full certainty.''

:)

So ofcourse I'm going to say something that some of you might find incredibly stupid again, (But I feel like saying it, so heck, why not?) which would be that this whole damn planet rightfully belongs to any human being who was born on it.

;)

But we do have our laws, interests and societies to take care of, so it's not like I'm promoting total anarchy or mass-immigration all of a sudden!

UK, Ireland / England, Dirty, Expensive and a dangerous place to live? [205]

I think so...what do you say?

I think it's pretty logical to conclude that in general, big cities all over the world are usually more of a mess than all the smaller towns out there. I really don't think Manchester or London are any dirtier than Rotterdam or Amsterdam!

:)

As for those of you who dont think England is dirty, Ive travelled enough to see how other European countries look and we are filthy in comparison and should be ashamed!

I don't think so. You should check out your rural areas more often, and you'll see that most people have nothing to be ashamed of.

Life / Are Polish people civilised or not? My thoughts... [52]

I'm aware of that, thanks for the reminder, Arien san :)

Oh, don't even mention it, you're very welcome Seanus! Your quote was just an opportunity to voice something.

I think we all know about some hypocrits on here who think it's necessary to PM inexperienced and young ladies about how they're doing something evil, or about how they're such a slut, when in fact, those very same people have had multiple partners or casual dates themselves..

;)

Nothing wrong with that either! But why do some weaklings always feel the need to boost their shrunken ego's at the expense of someone else?

So who's brave enough to be honest today? Hmm? Does anyone care to elaborate? No? Well, have yourselves a lovely evening all together!

:)

Hypocrits.

Life / Are Polish people civilised or not? My thoughts... [52]

Our taxes are being hiked to pay for these unemployed migrant workers

Blame your (Probably Irish!) employers.

;)

Are they embarasses???

Oh, and another thing, people who don't want to work at a farm, in production or at construction sites because they're too good for this sort of work when nothing else is available, that would be an embarrassment!

The Polish you talk about, work for their money because they're getting the opportunity. Now, imagine yourself when Ireland gets poor, and that there wouldn't be much work for you anymore. Would you consider working in Holland for a better wage when you were offered a job? Or would you rather be such a good patriot and sit on your ass all day, being utterly useless?

No my friend, anyone who does honest work is not an embarrassment and shouldn't be ashamed for anything.

:)

I've worked with an Irish guy in Holland eight years ago. He recieved benefits aswell for a short while. But then again, he worked for his money earlier, so that means he had paid his taxes too..

;)

In other words, he has the same rights!

I wouldn't. I'm busy enough as it is, and when people invite me or come along themselves, you won't ever see me play with my mobile phone.

:)

Just my personal opinion where it concerns me, but if it would benefit you guys as a team, then I'd say go for it!

UK, Ireland / Recruitment agencies advertise for Polish only workers [162]

Bull. I recall numerous visits to the local Job Centre, and they told me on various occasions employers weren't employing at the time, because they didn't have work. I know my area like the back of my hand, and lived here all my life, so ofcourse I found out this wasn't the truth.

Truth is, these employers liked the cheap wages, and didn't tell the Job Centre they had work. (Or someone at the Job Centre was lying, because I've also experienced on quite a few occasions that someone at the Job Centre would direct me to a recruitment agency for a job!)

Most Brits would not work for the lousy wages and poor job security that they offer.

I'll be honest, that's probably true in most cases, but I would've preferred a lousy long-term job over a few months of work. (Hey, you have to start somewhere?)

How far above minimum wage is bar work ? Not very much I would have thought.

I don't know about Britain, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was actually below minimum wage.

If you want decent staff, then you have to be prepared to pay them enough to live on and I would suspect that his rate attracted those at the bottom of the British barrell.

Yup..

This "oh the Polish work so hard and the British are so lazy" stuff is such a crock of shite.

Definitely! It seems it's a trend in all Western European countries? When you think of it though, what more could politicians ask for? You'll get lower salaries, and you'll get rid of those pesky working class people with their complaining about safety, wages, working conditions, rights and ofcourse it helps to exterminate their annoying Trade Unions.

I have no problems with a few foreigners who are coming over for work, if there's a place for them. (I mean only to occupy the empty spots!) I have huge problems with this recent development. (I think it started to get extreme somewhere in 2003?) The truth is, we're being replaced and told to stop complaining about it..

''Get more competitive.''

Okay. So how do we do that if we can't even get, or keep a job anywhere? Study? Yeah sure. So where can I earn money to finance a study? I'm sure that some of you can see it can quickly become a vicious circle. One that's not easy to come out of..
