lol that was what i recall now, my friend practically ran over me just to avoid the nun.. and it happened in Krakow too!
I spent half of my first trip to Krakow side stepping them!....

Thanks! Those images from that link are very striking. So were those shelters and bunkers built by the Germans during the War ? If I am not mistaken, Szczecin used to be a german city called Stettin. Was this city bombed heavily by the Allies?

oh ok.. thanks Wroclaw. I know that English was taught in (what used to be west germany) for years but not in what used to be East Germany until after reunification there. I was curious about how it was in Poland :-)
