Love / Do Polish men like aggressive women? [26]

haha.. to your first questions: yes, yes and yes! but not every guy.. :) i can see some getting emberrassed, uncomfortable, etc..

"A woman always chooses a man to choose her."

look at both meanings, it goes both ways. you choose the one 4 u.

as i didn't see his original comment.. i'm just speculating.. he could also be after something else.. you'll know when you exprience life a little more.

if you confuse them - you lose them

USA, Canada / Would my Polish degree be worth anything in the US? [14]

Ouch !

why? it is one of the names of that city, no?

Thats all changing here, you might have to take a equivalent exam

or you degree wont be worth the paper its written on.

that's not necessarily true at all. the only thing is if one wants to be licensed here in the US then one has to take the exam otherwise it's good to go. You may also ask your state board of licensure and see if a degree from Gdansk Tech would qualify you to sit in on the Architect's licensing test. let us know what you find out.

Genealogy / how many know their own family histories? [139]

i don't know that much... the main things i recall are war stories by my grandpas. i know that my extended family is large but i don't really know much beyond that. i have just recently reconnected with some blood in Canada though.

USA, Canada / Would my Polish degree be worth anything in the US? [14]

yes.. polish degree is fine.. what do you want to study? possibly the easiest way would be to do an overseas study for year or two from a US university but you surely don't have to go that route.

USA, Canada / Easiest way to get my mom a visa to visit the USA from Wroclaw? [11]

ok.. looks like that was changed last year:

Senator Barbara A. Mikulski (D-Md.) today joined Polish Ambassador Janusz Reiter to discuss the Senate's unanimous passage of her amendment that would extend the U.S. Visa Waiver program to Poland.

mikulski.senate.gov/record.cfm?id=256664

still, good luck as it's tough to get one.

USA, Canada / No US Visa Waiver for Poles - 8/9/07 [96]

IMO US is locking their borders for more educated people who would like to, for example intern in an american company or for specialists who could share and exchange knowledge.

is that why i have been meetin all kinds of polish students bussing tables? or working the banquet industry?

Feedback / Translation Titles and Their Content [30]

How?

edit the title with both languages in it?

Was an example only.

and there are plenty others.. that's why a translating search would be functional and
would uniquely summarize[s] the thread. lol

Feedback / Translation Titles and Their Content [30]

Usually the person who requests a translation doesn't know the text (if s/he knew it, s/he wouldn't need it translated), so it would be unreasonable to require them to translate the text first just to write a title in English ;).

Admin

you seem to love to edit people's posts (titles).. why not perform that great service with an extra kick . then :D
