Language / Has the influx of returning migrants who speak English affected Polish? [12]

Is there any snobbery towards returning migrants because of their use of English?

I assume that when the Polish are in Poland, they speak Polish, i've mentioned about English in Poland to a few of my Polish friends. They tell me that it does not enter their minds to use it when they are back home in Poland, they may use it if they are speaking to an English friend on the phone or over the internet etc etc

Surely the use of English in Poland is minimal, i'm guessing its used mainly to talk to English people who are in Poland or at schools where English is taught as a language.

News / Poland Remembers start of WW2 [200]

maybe except of the lesson that we can only count on ourselfs and our only friend is a strong polish army

you cannot exactly depend on yourselves, where did it get you?? I'll tell you where, invaded in two weeks flat, lol.

It's good to remember history in order to learn its many lessons

i agree with you but to go over the same thing again and again and again and again, probably not such a good idea as in my experience Poles don't learn from it, they cry and cry and cry about it. Yes they were the victims etc etc but come in we are in 2009, lets move on while at the same time remember the fallen.

Life / Are Slavs the best dancers in the world? [27]

you've got to be kidding me right?? those videos all have hot women in them moving about, that does not make them good dancers. If the girls were average looking then i bet they wouldn't still be called 'great dancers' its not about how their shaking its about what their shaking. I loved the Elvis 'all shook up' in Polish though, lol that was funny, i've never heard it before.

I would not say that there is a particular group of people who dance well, actually maybe the West Indians, they can dance, i just don't think i've seen a 'great' polish dancer

Life / Hollywood career - Polish style...? [17]

Is that a career Polish style...?

To be honest it looks like she was just some sort of 'Miss Polonia' or something who made the most of of being good looking by going to hollywood and sleeping witht he biggest star who would have her/she could find. She isn't the sort of girl you'de kick out of bed if you got home and found her warming the sheets but the question is, can the girl act?? probably not!!!

Polish style, i would say a big fat 'YES' making the best of the situation/talents you have to the best advantage you can.

News / What needs to happen in the world so that Poland and Russia form alliance? [297]

Well the first thing is that, the rest of the world should not be involved, it is totally down to the Russians and the Poles.

If they would just set aside their differences then maybe some sort of friendship could begin to emerge, unless current and past issues are dealt with or forgotten i can't see any end to the spicy relationship between the two.

As i said at the top of the post, i don't think the rest of the world should be involved at all, maybe as some sort of mediator if needed but apart from that, leave it to the two parties involved. I guess it would be a type of marriage counselling :)

Love / How to gain the attention of a Polish man? [71]

basterd

like the ones of a recent film :):)

but as a w.h.o.r.e, thats not what she wants...

I don't think she really stated that, she just wanted to know how to get his attention, i thought that would be the best way!!! I mean can you think of anything more affective!!! lol

Love / How to gain the attention of a Polish man? [71]

take your clothes off, that might do the trick :) then maybe you could work on him a bit, it would also help if you can flex in over 25 sexual positions!!!

P.S. it helps if you cause him to make a romance explosion all over you

Good luck in your conquest

Love / Are Polish girls charity workers? [132]

you could not have avoided to notice that sth was not right.
Why do you always feel they hide sth from you?Why are they so ungrateful?

i have to admit that when i have been with/had a polish girlfriend i have noticed a few things but i don't think i can slap that on all polish girls i may meet in the future, this could be the make-up of those individuals personalities?? no??

So what if i felt that a particular girl was a bit negative and paranoid, surely any girl from any country could have these traits??

Do you have any idea what we are talking about?

yes i've read a lot of the rubbish that has been written, so i think i pretty much know what your getting at!!

How many polish girls have you had?

you talk about them like they are drinks on a night out, 'ow how many of them did you have' ppffff, THESE ARE PEOPLE WE ARE TALKING ABOUT

Of course I am happy they exist.Russians probably think it is simply a variation of Russians.
Now my gf prepared to leave and she is dressed better than when she came! How do you explain that?Ah Poland, why do you spit on us?

why are you asking me like i'm Polish?? lol, i don't have anything against the Poles or the Russians, i try and keep out of the way of Ruski/Polski affairs :)

Genealogy / Daughter, 30, disappeared August 25th Warsaw. Stayed in hotel Warszawa Chopin. [21]

She is a level-headed girl, no fantasies, she has to be at work today. We live near New York. She is a young attractive woman of 30, can this play a role? Could she be abducted? She stayed in a hotel Warszawa Frederyk Chopin at Al. Jana Pawla II.

I would not think she has been abducted, from the language you have used it seem slike you may think she has been adbucted by sex traffickers. To put you at ease about this, the people running these rings don't tend to abduct western women (and no offence) they also usually tend to go for the younger age scale (even if she was an attractive 30) 15,16,17,18 etc etc is usually their age range. THe other thing is that abducting a British/American is that the investigation for missing persons is a lot better than say in Asia or even in Eastern Europe.

Unless there is any other possible reason you could think she has been abducted, i think you can be safe in the mind she has not been taken anywhere.

Did she take a cab ? if so, did the hotel order it ?

this is a very important point, if the hotel can confirm whether she did/did not take a cab and with which company, there may be a way you can atleast find her last known whereabouts through the cab company.

Does she have a mobile phone ? The phone company might be able to trace the signal.

I would also look down this avenue too, mobile phones can be tracked if they are switched on. Did your daughter take her original mobile phone or a replacement that worked within the EU community??

I wish you all the best in the hunt for your daughter, i'm sure she will turn up safe and well somewhere with a clear explanation.

Love / Are Polish girls charity workers? [132]

Basically they are like this because the guys who will have them have to be charity workers too.Sometimes you think that polish girls are useless.

i just don't understand how you and others can simply make sweeping statements about massive groups of people!!! You keep on and on about charity this, charity that, when at the end of the day its probably down to a personal experience you've had.

There is no way all these guys are (charity) there is no way that Polish girls are (charity) and that is that, how stupid can some people be, yes i'm including all the people who have used this term 'charity'!!

lol i don't hate your guts!

lol, well forgive me for saying but it seemed like it last time we spoke :) I remember a few names been banded my way :)

Don't try to give me the lessons boy

i'm not trying, i am, you need to learn how to respect and treat to the female species. Ow and you can stop the boy thing right there, i'm over the age of 18, so you can stick that in your pipe :)

Why after my story about trips to Jamaica ... you started to talk about middle aged (btw in some way you offended middle age women), lonely women... In my opinion you are not so neutral towards this trend as you pretend to be. It seems that you are not bigger than that.

I was giving you an example of what you were on about, it is something that is well documented and something these women admit. They even did so on a TV show, this is a lot different from pigeon holing Polish women for being 'charity workers' which it seems the resent been called. The difference is the mddle aged British ladies are happy with what they are doing/being called, the Polish women are not.

So yes, my point of view is what it looks like, i'm defending those who resent something said about them, there is not much i could say if there was a tv show about Polish girls who went for losers!!

Love / Are Polish girls charity workers? [132]

As to ypur other arguments - my speach wasn't sign of disrespect towards female but it was rather sign of disrespect towards person who starts discussion with me from "feck off".

what so that is all it takes to get you going, one 'feck off' come on man you should be bigger than that!!!! Take it on the chin and roll with it, you don't need to reply to it like you did, keep it above the belt and make your point.

You can claim them to be lonely middle age girls ... like some people claim JustysiaS to be vilage girl from pathologic family ...

Anny way without claiming if it is shame or not - everyody knows about famous trips of English girls to exotic countries... not always loney and not atractive ...

i'm not doubting any of that, however i'm happy to let them do what they want to do, if they are open about it (i mean they have been on C4 documentaries) then let them get on with it. No matter what i think about it, nothing is going to change, anyway that is not the discussion topic, lol.

That is unfortunate, but the generalisation is justified because it happens so often. Of course, it doesn't apply to every member of the female population of Poland, that is obvious. If you read my posts, you'll find that I have been careful to qualify my statements with 'Polish girls tend to', 'many Polish girls', 'a lot of Polish girls', etc.

Strange really because i would say the opposite, if i had to say something at all, they go for the other end of the scale. They go out to get what they can, usually that means an upping in status, the man has money, really good job, nice house etc etc.

Its just a game of opinions i think, i still though don't agree with the pigeon hole thing.

LOL tornado just don't pretend that you are JustysiaS deffender

i'm not anyones defender, i'm just speaking up for what i think is right/wrong, it does not matter who is involved. I'm not out to score points, i just don't like the disrespect towards women, whoever that may be.

Ow and as for being 'JustysiaS' defender, you can drop that one straight away, she hates my guts, why would i defend somebody who does not like me?? Its women i'm defending and in general, the disrespect shown by yourself towards women.

I know here as you know her. I read her posts ect. I have got my opinion about her

to be honest that is not much to go on is it really??

know that you provoke the continuation of the show... :)

what show might that be then, i was/am making a serious point about your thoughts/respect, shown towards and about women.

I am not claiming that he is big man.

no no no, sorry the whoopy thing was a bit silly, i actually did mean 'good for you' Just becuase i disagree with your views/conduct it does not mean i wish you grief in your personal life.

... it is just like with English girls who are looking for sex with balck man on holydays in Jamaica

yeah or lonely middle aged ladies from England going to Turkey for their 18 year old Turkish toy boy!!!

You talk BS. Tornado - bilingual people who can claim both - Polish or forign nationality can tell you the truth about having easy sex in polish club ...

so now its turned from picking the guy, to 'easy sex' i don't think i'm the one talking BS my man!!!!

Polish girls have low self esteem it is proven

stats stats stats, can be turned any which way you want them, don't throw rubbish like this at me again. I don't care for stats, i would rather go on the Polish girls i have actually met and spoke to.

If somebody form Poland wants to conquer female in this way he can alwyas go to Ukraine and have what he wants (it is question if he is realy looking for it)

so what if he can, what a big man he is, wwwwwhhhhhhoooopppyyyyyyyyyyy

You just carry on pigeon holing a whole population!!!

JustysiaS you are example of girl we are discussing about. It is not the pitty that you exist ... anny guy who is looking for something like you can go to Ukraine or place and get one on the same basis ...

so so lost in your silly little thoughts that you've taken to making personal insults to somebody you know nothing about, obviously you have no respect for women what so ever.

What is more you agression towards me shows one thing - I am right in what I say.

No it just shows that JustysiaS is not used to guys being disrespectful, probably more shock than anythng!

What is more I am more than happy in my private life :)

well good for you

and I've met girls like you in many different countries ... :)

how the heck do you know what JustysiaS is like??

I really do not approve of the dating choices that many Polish girls make

why?? what does it have to do with you?? how does it affect you?? what does it matter what the individual Polish girl picks as a partner, husband or boyfriend, i mean damn it even a fcuk buddy???

I have observed more of them than you

you may very well have done, still though my original point stands, what does it matter to 'YOU' personally?? i don't see how it changes or affects you life that much.

I just don't want to dwell on it anymore. It was funny at first 'cause it seemed that no one else was talking about it and I felt there was too much kissing up and fairy tales. Ok, the language is a bit colourful but hey, that's satire.

i don't mind if you have a point of view and state it, or if it is different to mine, all i ask is that you partake in debate, discussion etc etc that does not lower itself to personal attacks and deflecting questions (i'm not saying you have but the OP on the otherhand, thats a different story)

It went a bit far, but again there is a pattern and I do not believe the crap guy thing is a matter of opinion: the inferiority complex exists, and many Polish girls will admit that themselves.

so you think that if a Polish girl likes a guy, who is really nice, polite, friendly, helpful, caring etc etc but has a little bit of a self esteem issue, that makes him an invalid choice?? Or because he is percieved to be 'ugly' by others?? you think that is right??

You seem to be a little bit naive to deny that there's any grain of truth to it at all...but anyway...to decent Polish girls it's a bit unfair perhaps, to the crap-guy lovers (LOL), well perhaps they'll wake up a bit..

its not that i don't believe that there may be some strange choices, i just don't believe in calling out a whole section of the population including the Polish girls and the guys they choose. Whoever somebody chooses as a partner is totally their choice and their choice only and do not deserve to be picked on for that choice.

Yep, I know. Guilty as charged.

everybody has an inner child, therefore will say something childish now and again, its natural TO ALL OF US lol.

Look, I can see why you and others would say that. But, if you look around you there is something there.

as i said before, its about opinions, the guy who posted was stating his opinion based on his own experiences. How does that extend into a full blown truth??

I mean, even the Polish girls on this forum aren't exactly denying it. But I think I've had my 'fun' and may drop the topic. Apologies to all the decent Polish girls out there.

Don't get me wrong, not all polish girls are decent, nice etc etc i just see this as a little unfair.

Love / Are Polish girls charity workers? [132]

Because it's peculiar and funny that people notice the same thing. And the topic clearly more edgy and interesting than 'Polish girls are the most beautiful in the world'

Wel you know, i cannot disagree with that one bit, i'm actually pleased not to see another 'the polish chicks are so pretty' :)

Ok, it's negative

listen to be honest i don't mind if its negative or positive, i just think that in this case they are being pigeon holed!!!! I also think the guy who posted the thread did not do so in the correct manner, i think he should explain himself a little more.

Let me explain...

Polish girls instead seem to want to do, date or "help out" the losers, retarded, weak, ugly, lazy and guys of a lower status))

you think that is a good way of writting it?? what part of the population is he taking about here?? what light is he trying to place polish girls?? Why would he write something like this if he himself was not affected in some way??

what he thinks he is an 'alpha male' 'quality man' lol :)

So far so good but the problem here is that this leaves guys of real quality thinking: "how can I go out with these girls when they ... just ... go ... for ... anything?"

that is what he thinks to himself!!!! Really, well maybe his view is founded on his OWN expeiences and is not built upon research of any exstent.

I'd call it a defeat of natural selection))

looks like to me as he speaks trying to be one of these 'quality, alpha, male men' :) you've got to be kidding me right.

So just because this guy feels he has lost out in the past, he feels the need to post on a public website that Polish girls are this and that and go for losers?? why is that?? not really the behaviour of a quality man is it?? Bringing down a whoe population to validate his own downfalls

Damn you are still here? I though you said your night shift was starting at 12 and that makes you late for work. Need to get some kip myself now.

no no i said i was going to bed at 12am, not starting work. I see now why you asked if i was a taxi driver.

Not much to say in reply except that you don't have a clue about what is going on.

thats because there is nothing going on, you are just wrong about whatever your silly little conspiracy is.

My posts may come across as heavy but there is some truth in them if you bother looking around ... ;)

i don't mind people speaking the truth, there just needs to be a bit of 'backup' if your going to make sweeping statements about groups of people.

Love / Are Polish girls charity workers? [132]

Well then explain yourself. Why is it wrong? What are your observations? Polish girls don't tend to go out with crap guys? (I just couldn't resist using that phrase again LOL)

The term 'crap guys' or whatever term you wish to use is a personal point of view, just because somebody is 'crap' in your or anybody else's view, does that make it so??

Why do you and the OP and probably others feel the need to pick at Polish girls specifically for their choice of partners?? What is it to do with you if Kasia 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and Karolina 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 go out with guy 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,910?? Everybody is different?? right??

I just don't see why somebody would suddenly think, 'ow don't Poish girs go out with such losers, i think i'm going to post about it' how does it come to that, what process goes through an individuals head??

I have no problem explaining mysef at all, i'm simply saying that it is the choice of the girl/guy who they are partners with, whatever other individuals may think. Every guy has lost out to another at some point in his life and you may think 'i can't believe she has picked him over me' does it make them a loser?? crap?? etc etc, i just can't see any other reason for posting this unless there is some underlying bitter past behind it. Or maybe its just simply having a pop at Polkas??

Or do you think sticking up for Polish girls is going to get you laid somehow?

what?? that is such a childish thing to say, why would i come onto a forum, defend a group of people (as you put it) with any thought what so ever about getting laid?? Sex, relationships, girlfriends was not on my mind when i replied to the op. Maybe your the one obsessed with all of the above

(I have news for you...well, hmm... better not)

I could not care less, if i want to hear/see the news i wil turn the box on and listen to Peter Sissons, John Snow etc etc.

Let me first ... yawn ... and ... again ... ok.

don't you mean 'let me ignore the question'

This "intuition" come from you and that's why I've asked you if you had something to share. So we need to worry about your intelligence here.

its not really that difficult, i'm just trying to get to the bottom as why you decided to make this an issue and posting it. It has nothing to do with my intellegence as i ahve looked at what you have written and asked you a question, does this mean if i ask somebody the question 'do you like marmite?' the way your talking it means 'i like marmite do you?' does not really add up. So how about answering the question :)

read

i read your post, think your wrong about what you have written

reply

i have and you don't seem to be answering any questions, all your doing is trying to fend them off by changing the subject or deflecting.

I'm losing my patience with you

wel if somebody asking you a few questions about your points of view is enough to anger or annoy you then i think some sort of 'anger management class' is in order :)

So you a cabby? haha

no i don't, if you are that intellegent you may have noticed i asked you the question :)

If you do a bit of homework and read up posts it will save you from looking like a fool.
The 'crap guy' definition is not mine!

i know that, thank you, however you seem to think that what you wrote initially is fine?? what exactly are you driving at?? Why even bother posting it?? What are you trying to achieve??

Agreed. I have cool Polish guy friends and they are very selective in what kind of girl they go for. The problem of charity work is most acute abroad

i don't understand why you call people this, that and the other considering you've started a thread about total rubbish :) 'Charity work' lol, so your the total opposite of what you describe as a 'crap guy' then are you??

You seem to like throwing it around a bit and branding people, somebody feeling a bit hurt because they didn't get the girl they wanted and they went off with somebody else??

Food / What Polish food or drink do you not like and why? [37]

i luuuuv garlic and onion, smelly but good!

I think onion is a wonderful accompanying ingredient, however when its one of the main flavours it makes me shiver!!!! I mean just think of all the dishes/recepies etc etc that onion is included, A LOT.

that sucks a bit, so much stuff you're missing out on

I developed my allergy, i don't know it for sure but my mother tells me i used to have egg (with dipping soldiers :) ) when i was very small and then one day my body seemed to reject it. As for missing out, i try not to think about those things and concentrate on the ones i can eat.

yes, some call it hunter's stew

I'm not the biggest fan of stew, its not at the top of my menu or anything but i did enjoy Bigos.

Kishka blood sausage has always grossed me out. When my mom would make it for dinner, she didn't realize I was actually feeding my portion to our Daschund.

hahahaha, the old, feed it to the dog trick. I used it many times in my childhood :) I do believe though that you should try everything atleast once, its good for you to try a variety of foods, you just don't know what you might like.

paprykarz

chicken in some sort of funny sauce?? I've never tasted it but heard of it. Is it like marmite, you either love or hate it??

with make-up, the golden rules goes: less is more. i see very young girls with pretty faces and flawless skin wearing so much slap on that they look like their own mothers! what's the point of that?

I know, thats the point, i do not understand it either. Surely the whole point of make-up is to accompany what is already there, not completely change it?? Its also not good for your skin as you grow up if you continually drown it in make-up and fake tan to the max, just look at some of the 30/40 somethings now!!!! OMG its enough to give you nightmares. Its ashame to see such beautiful, attractive and pretty girls/women spoiling themselves by throwing it on by the bucket load.

(makes me jealous cos my combination skin is driving me crazy sometimes, so difficult to find the right cosmetics and foundation to keep it all in check)

Just think of it this way, there are many girls who are in a much worse of position than yourself, i know it does not help directly at the end of the day. What it should do though is mentally lighten your task when you think how lucky you are :)

(sorry for the rant lol)

i'm also a big fan of mayonnaise

i've never really known what it tastes like, i have an allergy to egg, so mayo is a problem for me :)

or even better garlic mayonnaise mmm mm

nie nie nie nie nie, that just = stinky breath :)

can't wait to go home now :D.

there is nothing like your mothers cooking :) i know what you mean, i really enjoy going home and eating my mothers cooking.

well i'm a decent cook and i make amazing bigos (among many other things)

Maybe you are an exception to the rule, i've always been interested in trying different food from other nations, its a shame i don't always get the quality on the plate that gives a true representation.

I've had Bigos before, its like a stew isn't it?? I also like Pierogi, sort of reminds me of a pasty/pie however the casing is different from those two, i think i like it because there are many variations you can have as a filler :).
