The body , who we are assuming is Tobiasz , was found by the side of the canal , its possible he did fall in , and died after getting out , but we are all just guessing , we must wait and see what the Police say....The fact that two people have been arrested suggests to me that the Police think it wasn,t an accident...

The latest news , is that the body has been identified as the missing Polish man....A 25 year old man has been charged with murder.....A woman arrested earlier has been released......I am so sad for his girlfriend , and family....

We don,t yet know if the guy was murdered , although its looking this way...If he was murdered , we don,t why , and i suspect as in Previous cases of Polish deaths in the UK that the fact he was Polish had nothing to do with his death...

The only fact that is really important is that a young man has met his death long before his time, and his girlfriend and family have lost someone they love....

I am sure we will get the usual anti British yapping from some on this forum ,which i am sure my Polish friends on here will despise as much as i do.....England is not full of thugs hunting down Polish workers , but it does have thugs , who don,t much care where you come from.....A stranger in town is seen as a vunerable target to these thugs , and they don,t much care if you come from another town or another country....I am English , but i have no love for the scum in my country of birth or any other... Lets just be sad that this happened and not use it to start a verbal war between the anti Brits , and the anti Poles....

Sorry , but i am just anti trade union , i agree that in the old days they were needed to stop greedy bosses exploiting the workers , but they grew into a monster that would not let a boss make any decision uless it involved the workers doing less work for more money....The only union i have any respect for is a certain one in Poland that helped end Communism.......

That brought back memories of funny moment from my past On our second trip to Poland to bring aid to a kids home here we brought along my girlfriends sister...She is a nice person , but shall we say , is not streetwise....After passing many women selling mushrooms and apples we eventually passed some pretty young ladies in short skirts stood next to a camper van....She remarked that they had done really well to sell all their goods , and thought perhaps more people had stopped to buy because they were young and pretty...I was laughing to much , my girlfriend had to explain what they were actually selling....

This thread seems to have developed in to a Poland versus Germany argument , and the thread has got a bit lost.... Being English maybe i can make a comment that isn,t anti German or anti Polish.....This exibition in Germany is just about the German civilians who were forced out of their homes , often killed if they took too long packing their stuff , and who suffered terrible treatment...As far as i can tell nobody is trying to deny that the Germans caused untold suffering to people of many nations , or that Germany started the war in the first place.....I own a farm in the part of Poland that was German land before 1945 , and i am very aware that this farm was once the home of a German family....Maybe they were devout Nazis , who fully supported Hitler , but maybe they were just peasant farmers just doing what farmers do...Either way , in the eary hours of the morning some Polish and Russian soldiers turned up , along with a Polish family that was to be given their home , and they were given only minutes to get what they could and be on their way....Its been difficult to find out exactly what happened , but i know the family was never heard of again...I supect they are burried somewhere on my land....As i said , no one wants to deny that People of all nationalities suffered in the war , but i don,t see why there is such hysteria because someone wants to tell a story about German people that suffered....I accept that if you support someone who starts a war and then loses it you can,t expect too much sympathy , but i think that there is no reason why the story can,t be told.... The German people were victims of Hitlers lunacy too.....
