We dont have a duty to do anything, that was a rather arrogant statement, I have duty to be a good daughter, sister, aunt and friend, but i do NOT have a duty to welcome any tom dick and harry who wants to come to the UK. Simples!
Then don't go an colonise other countries or even emigrate to them if you don't want them on your backward.
Regarding the Irish, we have a long standing history with them and as a guest in my country you should read a bit of history before throwing them in to the discussion.

Anyway,Irish were badly treated by the english people as the asian(the pakis as you call them).
They were classified same level as the dogs(no Irish,no dogs),now you telling me you have long standing history with the Irish,so with India for centuries.

You pick and choose which race to welcome(most asian abide by the law in the UK).

What is your point? We were also invaded by Normans, doesn’t make us French though and the tradition of taking a German spouse dates back generations, it's only recently that the Royal family name was anglosized - read a bit of English history, you might learn something!
Funny enough i was going to ask you the same to go and read a bit of present reality,no need for history(Normans...etc,don't go that far).
