Chill chippy! I'm loving the Polish ladies, u

Yes, whilst you are young and do not know any better. But wait a while and see how they change and age as well. I saw a young nice Polish girl in a charity shop in Great Bookham not so long ago but she was with her mother. That is always the test, see a girl and then compare her with her mother-then at least, you know what you will be getting in thirty years from now!

Life / I want polish passport [86]

I am talking about years ago when foreign people had no rights to buy land or houses in Poland. Now since their ascension in to the E.U. laws may be different. Nowadays of course, with a family, I could not wish such harm on little children by taking them to such a dump and expect them to live there-that would be simply too selfish for words!

aying numb-nuts. 23 years ago teraz rozumiesz?

Numb nuts? I can not be expected to go on six monthly tours once a year of a hell hole called Poland to make analysis of their Godforsaken country, can I? How up to date can someone be? I know Poland very well indeed and I have seen almost everything and I have been to almost every major town, except for Wroclaw.

either Krakow, Prague or Bu

Krakow is not a city really is it? It is just a big town and yes, two days is enough to see everything quite comfortably. Prague and/or Budapest, well that is something else but Krakow?

Will unPolish husband receive Polish citizenship if he as well as his wife aren't Polish citizens?

I understand more now. Why should a Russian not even married to a Polish person have Polish citizenship? The answer is NO for sure. My wife is Polish and I have no rights in Poland at all not to a passport or anything else for that matter.

If you are a Russian national and you are marrying a Polish citizen then I would imagine it would be a simple formality to be able to obtain the rights to a Polish passport after a certain qualifying period. You can of course buy a Polish passport just like you can buy everything in Poland like a driving license. simply pay your money and wait a week or so and it should be ready. We have many such people coming in to England now with these fraudulent documents. The Poles will sell anything for a price-even their own grandmothers even though they all trudge all the way to church on a Sunday!

In 23rd century.

Come on, where did you get your rotten magister from? You know as well as me that you can buy anything and everything in Poland. Next time, buy yourself a British university degree instead!

There is also a very religious television channel that we pick up in England via our dish next to TV Polnia but we take no notice of such channels-very old fashioned, stuffy and boring!

UK, Ireland / Polish clubs I could join in London? [14]

- And now the porky pretending-to-be-an-Englishman is playing an expert on Polish clubs in UK!

Yes, I know the POSK quite well as we drive there on a Sunday sometimes and buy delicatessen Polish meats for home. I took G.C.S.E. Polish there fifteen years ago too.

nyone know any polish clubs which I can join in london? I live in west london Ealing side. I like to join a club where I will be belcome as I am indian male.

If you go to Ravenscourt Underground Station and walk outside there is a huge white concrete building known as POSK on the corner of Kings Road. Everything there is controlled by the Poles and you should be able to get information about clubs, societies and Polish Language classes (if that sort of thing interests you).

murdered or robbed. I

It certainly was not me who talked about people being murdered or robbed though this can happen in any city. You must have been there in Oliwa at the same time as me, then!

It was also voted 5th best city for week end breaks worldwide by American Express as recently as 9 months ago.

The Main Square was very nice as I remember but as for all the changes I can not make comment. Two days was enough to take in the Square and the Wawel though. Prague and/or Budapest would make much more interesting long-term visits.

Krakow is currently one of the most exciting cities in Europe for long term investment. The changes have been dramatic and cover almost all aspects of life in the city.

I went to burger King on Sunday and as we went in a nice girl opened the door for us. As it turned out, she was Polish from Krakow. I asked her about all the pollution and dirt from Nowa Huta but she says that it has changed a lot since I was there in 1986 and that the steel works has all now gone.

UK, Ireland / Gullible pretty polish girls with immigrants in Ireland [60]

It might be just a reaction from the boredom of the life in Poland and riggers of the oppressive Roman Catholic Church does not help. The vicars in Poland say one thing yet do the opposite themselves. Leave the church in their personal BMW's and off to their pani whilst all the country folk are left to stagger off home on foot after the church service!

Yes, it seems strange but Polish girls like dark skinned men for some reason. Maybe after so many boring years of frustration at being trapped in Poland with communism and the inability to travel it might seem a little 'daring' to be seen with a black man. Some years ago in England at my place of work, worked a very handsome man from Zimbabwe. He met an Irish girl who was working at the same place here in England and they became something of an 'item', she became pregnant and they had a boy together. The Irish girl knew of another lady who was interested in her man to be and phoned her to explain that now, having a baby together, they would want to be together now. To her horror, this other lady on the phone says "I am sorry, but you do not understand something here. This man about whom you are talking is my husband and we too have a family together". What an embarrassment! Later on, he simply disappeared from the scene altogether. Who can blame him!

now how much is it for a taxi from the airport ?( in zlotys)

I will give you some good advice here. When you come out of the airport building make your way as quickly as you can to the bus and take that. The taxi drivers will try to slow you down as it is a long way to Gdansk on foot! About sixteen kilometers long! The taxi drivers will rook you for all you have got so beware! There is a bus but I do not know its number but a good up to date Rough Guide or something similar should be able to point you in the right drrection. No, there is no train there.

nd you want to discuss about Poland?????????????, sorry...

Sorry? Why sorry? I was in Poland when quite a lot of forum members were not even born! It was twenty three years ago, przeczytaj dobrze! teraz rozumiesz?

was called Orunia the district where I stayed in Gdansk twenty three years ago.

I remember the street where I stayed number 25 Podmiejska no longer in existence, as I later found out. The lady whom I met in Moscow and later invited me to Gdansk all those years ago is now Head of German at Oliwa University.

c'mon michal stop talking rubish. you were doing so fine lately

I have been to Gdansk many times and I know what parts of the city looks life in real life. I am not talking about the Old Town but get a bus and go to Podmiejska and those streets in the outskirts. God-bloody awful! Like England would have been like in the 1500's!

Love / Need help: Can't get my polish girl to say "I love you" [84]

Just be careful that she doesn't play you like a fiddle. Take things in stride and see how she reacts when she doesn't get her way.

All women are clever and are extremely manipulative, it is in their nature and biology is 'doing its bit' along the way. It is a very strong natural impulse and I have seen a lot of very unhappy men in my life after what women can do to them.

Language / Polish Language Pronunciation - Example Words and Phrases [220]

ą = nasal o as in own

No, that is not right. It is more like the 'a' in the English word 'sawmill' with a longish a sound. It is deffinitly not the 'o' sound in own.

ow as in oh no!

More like the 'ou' in the word out.

What are you talking about????

You can presumably read my text. Why do you ask what I am writing about? However, I certainly would not say that it is the most beautiful city in the World. I would say that was an exaggeration. I have visited Brugge in Belgium and it has some very fine old buildings. I would have thought that Edinburgh in Scotland would be as good if not even better than Krakaow and certainly Edinburgh Castle is every bit as good as Krakow's Wawel. I do not know how Krakow looks today as it has been a few years since I was there but I do remember the police cars on the square for some reason, funny little blue vans with MO painted on the side!

n some respects, Gdansk has a Wild West feel. I'm n

Outside of the Old Town, Gdansk is very rough and poor indeed. It can be a very nasty and dangerous place to be.

people. Krakow is the most beautiful city in the world. I hope to see it next year.

No, that is rubbish. Krakow is nice for a day or two but besides from the centre of the Old Town, there is really nothing to see. The steel works ruins everything. Your throat will be dry and hurt all the time and you can not drink the tap water. If you try to wear anything white it will be black in a few hours so that is impossible too. Foreign firms even offered to help out the Poles and clean up the chimneys but they refused! Now they complain as the solphuric acid is dissolving all the historic buildings. There is nothing to buy in the shops and when I was there everybody was queuing outside the PEWEX to change my dollars so as to buy chocolate and foreign alcohol I would suggest Prague is the true jewel of Eastern Europe-simply knocks Krakow in to a top hat!

Love / Need help: Can't get my polish girl to say "I love you" [84]

I need to know if Polish women have a hard time saying these words to the one they love, or is it just my beautiful princess. For if that's the way every Polish woman feels and behaves, then I will gladly listen to the sound of her silence and draw my

Yes, I am an expert with Polish women. I have not met your girl friend but I imagine that this is an infatuation that you have developed since meeting her over a month ago. True love takes a long time to come, if ever indeed it comes at all! She is probably counting her eggs before making a firm decision, they are at the best of times very manipulative. You will end up making a fool of yourself, and I do not mean that in a bad way, love does this to a man, especially when you tell a woman that you love her. I would never say such a thing to a woman because they know that they can manipulate you and unfortunately that is exactly what they do. It might be genuine, it might be that you are a novelty because you are simply foreign. Take each day as it comes and be patient.
