cooledge 20 Sep 2007 / #1Hi-I am flying into Berlin for Christmas and will be in Europe until mid-Januay. I have been everywhere except for Poland and would like to spend my time here during the trip. I am 25 and will be staying at hostels. I want to see Krakow and go to the Tatras but need suggestions for other polish places. What other places would you sugest for an independent traveller?Cheers,Chris
Wroclaw 44 | 5,379 20 Sep 2007 / #2You could stop off in Wroclaw on your way to Krakow.By rail. Berlin - Wroclaw about five hours. In a good/fast car... three hours.By rail. Wroclaw - Krakow....it very much depends on the train service you use. By car 2.5 hrs.

kochanie 3 | 58 27 Sep 2007 / #5My friend recently visited Poland, he says that the salt mines were really good and he also went to a concentration camp (the name escapes me) which he says was interesting from a history point of view but so hearbreaking at the same time. However, if history interests you it might be an idea, beware, you may cry! x
