Real Estate / Poland property boom over???? [54]

Please provide valid sources (links) of properties in Germany now being cheaper than in Poland?

estate-pool.com

as i said, there are a lot of very cheap properties in germany so you might need to define your search criteria - try for flats, 75-150 m2, photos only, max price 15K GBP and see what that produces

failing that, see whats on the market for less than 10K GBP

could you then please provide us with valid sources of similar priced properties in poland

visit channel 4 property abroad forums to see what people are saying about german property in general

Law / Celebrate Polish success; Poland best to invest [30]

Take any country in Europe (on it's own)

england

and tell me - what can they do that Poland can't.

provide hundreds of thousands of poles with jobs

I'm not entirely sure you know all the facts.

the polish are quickly replacing the english as europes most arrogant people - if you cant see the obvious then theres not a lot that can be said

infact hang on a cotton pickin moment you cheeky little pole - perhaps we should give you the opportunity to justify your arrogance and explain to us how poland has managed to come out of decades of communism and in just a few years have caught up with the rest of europe

the cheek of it

stop fukin moaning and work towards your future

i tend to suggest that people stay in sopot unless there is a reason for spending nights in gdansk. whilst there are some good places to go out in the evening in gdansk they are at times hard to find unless you know where your going. do the gdansk tourist stuff during the day when you can just hop on a train and then head back up to sopot for evening fun

UK, Ireland / What's So Great About The UK? [416]

blaming the immirants is wrong - and solves nothing as you say - but that this happens is understandable and sadly inevitable. the people who do blame the immigrants in many instances have valid poinys to make but, arguably, make them in the wrong way. perhaps rather than straight off dismissing these people as racists we should take a moment to understand where they are coming from

it can be difficult NOT to ignore it - i have spent most of my adult life living abroad and i am all for people having the opportunity to do the same in search of a better life... but, the bottom line is that the uk is not a big country, is already stretched and mass immigration (REGARDLESS OF NATIONALITY) in a short time frame is of course going to have an impact... its inevitable and denial of this is foolish

which is as wrong, isn't it?

wrong or right, its inevitable

UK, Ireland / What's So Great About The UK? [416]

the uk's government didn't see the problem.
is that a fault of the people that decided to try a better life and came to the uk?? i don't think so...

of course its not the fault of the people that come to the uk in search of a better life, and good luck to them, but unfortunately when people in the uk start to feel the result of mass immigration, which isnt their fault either, then the immigrants are the ones who are going to be looked at to blame...

Yes, snap judgement on my part but the immigration argument is hard to keep listening to when you care about/love some of the immigrants in question!

funnily enough it gets a bit tedious people ignoring and dismissing immigration issues just because they have a vested interest

It really will be interesting to keep an eye on say this forum in a few years time when Poles return home only to find a whole lot of jobs and housing taken up by Ukrainians and Belarussians. I do wonder if we will see a certain level of hypocrasy?

But surely the various Governments I've been voting in and out all these years and all the tax revenue they've had off me should count for something ?

I've played the game and got a job so being born here must entitle me to a slightly larger slice of the cake ?

im not goin to disagree with you on this but plenty on the forum will take offence and be happy to tell you exactly why ;-)

i lived in brighton for a couple of years - up in kemp town - i enoyed my time there but at times i couldnt wait to get out of town, head along the coast or up to alfriston or some other little village just for a pint of real and some peace and quiet

Real Estate / Poland property boom over???? [54]

It is mostly foreign invesment and ruthless speculators which are responsible for the terrible flat prices in cities like Warsaw and Kraków, not local Poles. In fact, most Poles who work in Poland cannot afford these kind of prices.

there are a hellova lot of poles who have sold property at these kind of prices, set by them and not foreign speculators, who are now exceedingly rich and laughing all the way to the bank

If we have a budget of 15,000 PLN Would it be reasonable for us to purchase a small plot of land

not a hope - the extra 0 Buddy suggests will get you something somewhere

i stand corrected
