svenski64 9 Nov 2007 / #1urgent help, need advice on why polish girlfriend mother has started to ignore me!
Rakky 9 | 217 9 Nov 2007 / #2Need lots more info, or would just be guessing. Circumstances (recent and historic)?
Wroclaw 44 | 5,379 9 Nov 2007 / #3She now realizes that she might lose her daughter... to marriage or whatever.
hello 22 | 890 9 Nov 2007 / #4Why would you care so much about your girlfriend mother's attention? I would personally be happy :)
OP svenski64 9 Nov 2007 / #6very complicated,g'f is in clinic in Kracow, her mum is my only way of finding out how she is doing, last 2 days blanked me out-have only told her how much her daughter means to me-would that offend ???
Rakky 9 | 217 9 Nov 2007 / #8Is there any connection between you and her being in the clinic? What kind of clinic? For what? Is it possible she learned something about you that affected her negatively toward you?
krysia 23 | 3,058 9 Nov 2007 / #9Or like Wroclaw said, she's afraid of losing her daughter. She's at a clinic and worried sick, now you come along to take her away. So, maybe that's it. Just give it time so she realizes that you make her happy.
Kowalski 7 | 621 9 Nov 2007 / #10Or the opposite. She has accepted you and now has been showing how comfortable she would feel around you. No pleasantries needed to be exchanged anymore. You are one of her family and can ignore you and focus on her own. It is a polish way of showing acceptance to new family member (vanishing but still performed mostly in eastern regions of the country)
krysia 23 | 3,058 9 Nov 2007 / #11Or she pi$$ed at you because you got her daughter pregnant and that's why she's at the clinic getting an abortion.
Mufasa 19 | 357 9 Nov 2007 / #15Sorry to hear that - not nice experience. Not to worry - PF is known for teasing people to shreds - they're not really a bad lot though ;)
Wroclaw 44 | 5,379 9 Nov 2007 / #16Sorry guys,Detox!Does she blame you for the problem or maybe you not telling anyone until it was to late ?
OP svenski64 9 Nov 2007 / #17thanks Mufasa,no offence taken,am just a little worried I may have been used.......hope not!
BubbaWoo 33 | 3,506 9 Nov 2007 / #18polish girlfriend mother has started to ignore me!and this is a problem...?
slick77 9 Nov 2007 / #19detox....well....I don't know anything about you, your gf, your gf's mother so...you know...
Lucynda 4 | 70 9 Nov 2007 / #24Sounds like the mom blames you for whatever the problem is....and your "hush-hush" approach leads some of us to believe that mom may have some justification :)
tomekcatkins 8 | 130 9 Nov 2007 / #26Just tell the mother that you have the feeling that there is something bothering her. I'm sure she will speak out what will be on her mind. Good luck!
OP svenski64 10 Nov 2007 / #27No,its drug detox and she was like it when I met her.I have paid for her to go back to poland for detox so I am not to blame!!!
Wroclaw 44 | 5,379 10 Nov 2007 / #28Is it possible to call the clinic and speak to your girlfriend ?In fact. Why aren't you speaking to your girlfriend ?
OP svenski64 10 Nov 2007 / #29My polish is not good enough to speak to clinic, they probably dont speak english, got to wait
Polson 5 | 1,768 10 Nov 2007 / #30Are you Swedish or not ?...just curious ;)About your mother's girlfriend, she is maybe worried for her daughter, just because she's her mother...Time will tell, i hope ;)
