News / Does Poland count in Europe or is it ignored? [427]

England was lucky it was on an Island and thus was not successfully invaded since 1066.

Probably more to do with the Royal navy than luck. If the channel kept people out then surely it should have kept the Brits in.

Ever heard of the British empire.

UK, Ireland / Where, in the UK, is the most Polish? [18]

For goodness sake where do you get your info?
What total rubbish.

Have you read his other posts? The guys a complete knob.

Hm. I guess if I went to BNP forums I might get more info ;)

Lmao.

This interests me as, if I were to return to the UK, I'd like to live in such an area (even thought I'm not a Pole myself).

Lmao it gets better.

if I were to return to the UK

Please don't!

Life / THE BRITISH ARE COMING!!! [30]

I just hope that places like Gdynia and Sopot don’t suffer the same invasion of

Irish that lots of places in the Uk have suffered

and if you have ever visited these areas you will know exactly what I mean.

Love / Love my polish girlfriend alot but under pressure from family [166]

if you like someone then it kinda feels right to treat them as much as they treat you.

My mom is generous and gives girls lots of cosmetics,so then they become spoiled and forget their duties

i would disagree, if someone invites you out they should at least buy you a drink.

I agree. If i asked someone out then i would expect to foot the bill but even then just the offer of "i will get the next round in" goes down well, but amathyst didn't pay for one drink in 6 years. Short arms and deep pockets.

in the 3 years of my relationship i had to pay for almost every meal and drink we had, even when he took me out

Probably amathysts brother, the tight git.

in the 3 years of my relationship i had to pay for almost every meal and drink we had, even when he took me out to apologise and make up. no wonder he's my ex ;).

that is awful. SHould be a red flag from the start;)

Lol look who's talking.

Food / ENGLISH FOOD...delivered to your door in Poland.. [9]

Two or three pieces of marmite toast only one left whole, the other(s) are cut to form a triangle and are placed at the edges of the plate.

The whole piece being left in the middle of the plate, pour the beans onto the middle piece only. The other pieces are placed around the edge of the plate and then top with cheese (cheddar or wensleydale)

Pure heaven!

USA, Canada / Happy Thanksgiving Day to all Polish Americans! [24]

I filmed while hunting

Given the terrible camera shake i would be surprised if you could hit a cows arse with a banjo.

What do you use for hunting a minigun?

Language / A word about a dialect. [20]

MareGaea:
Accent has nothing to do with education.

Very true.

I think it does, uneducated people are lazy so they cut words short and they speak carelessly

You seem to be talking about slang and not regional accents.

UK, Ireland / English tossers give Brits a bad name in Poland [139]

The guys were not English and were not idiots

Two guys and not the whole English nation, therefore not a cultural issue but two cruel twats who should have been battered by the police in my opinion.

sporting events.
Can England not learn too ?

You can never learn enough and to be honest the UK leads the world in running sporting events, the festival at Cheltenham, grand national, the derby, football ( is a safe as any country in the world now probably more so, just look at the amount of families who go) motor racing the list is huge.

If I was an English person addressing this question - would your attitude be different

No it wouldn't and technically speaking and by the standards i have used i am not English myself (as in birthright) To me where someone is from is a point of interest and not a point of conflict!

Do they pick up the litter in Sth Korea after the match?

The title of the thread is a dig by you, it's what you do.

Still stands

The point is that English culture encourages this behaviour more so than others.

Total shite.

England vs Spain ?

The biggest problem was the racist chants and monkey noises by the Spanish fans. When was the last time you went to an England match? There is hardly any trouble at all

I dont believe it is.

You wouldn't

Its about the English culture and their behaviour abroad.

No it's about two cruel idiots. Since when has pigeon tossing abroad been part of English culture.

And why do you think that is, what informs their opinion

Same actions one percieved bad the other as good, ignorance, bigotry, racist, small mindedness.....

I've just heard many more tales about English folk doing it but it's

More probable English speaking folk. I have seen this myself in the Guinness bar in the plac solny in Wroclaw, A group of people singing and dancing, not causing any damage or trouble it was said to me " pah the English" when i pointed out that they were in fact Irish i received the answer "ah yes" with a smile as if to say that's ok then.

Football fans

Have you been to an England match or English league match recently?

I am confused as to how they hurt the pigeons. Can someone shed some light on this for me?

Me too, if you throw something that flys surely that's what it does.

Pigeons can open their wings in an instant.
