yeah, it obviously takes money to build roads but the EU gave money to poland a while back to get this job at least started. since then not a great deal has been done, whilst labour and material costs have risen sharply.
in fairness, the gdansk tzcew road has been completed pretty much on target, which is more than can be said for similar british projects. but to achieve the sort of targets outlined in the 2012 proposal calls for sleeves to be rolled up and knuckling down to some hard graft

german workers were brought in to build the balticka centrum in gdansk wrzeszcz... for a number of different reasons but largely because they were cheaper than the locals and didnt bugger off once they had been trained up in a new skill

Comparing Polish road network with German is, softly speaking, out of place here. The economical gap between the two countries is still huge.

yeah. critical question to ask yourself is can you achieve your monthly payments even if there is a significant rise in interest rates. if you are close to the line then things could become uncomfortable.
your monthly payments on a 30-40 yr mortgage are going to be lower than a 25-30 yr loan - even more so if your on an interest only plan. how many people nowadays will actually keep their property for 30-40 yrs - circumstances change and we sell up and move, upsize, downsize whatever.

i started bailing out in the later half of last year - i have kept commercial rental property which, once finished, will (hopefully) produce a nice return and i have also kept a costal holiday property.

i agree. for me this is totally unacceptable. a couple of summers ago i was invited to share a bed with a polish ex-girlfriend who had a new partner of over 5 years. she could not comprehend why i felt so uncomfortable with this

im glad that a polish company has won recognition of its innovative designs and i agree that there are many companies in poland designing and producing products worthy of recognition
i am a little suprised however that they couldnt find anything more worthy than some interstingly designed carpets and rugs...
