News / Poland among the greatest enemies of Russia [112]

I manage to hate and love my country at the very same time,

I feel the same way about the US right now. Kind of hard to keep singing about how great we are when we owe the Chinese all that money. Current events are frankly very embarrasing and there's no real end in site.

Love / How do you approach marriage to Polish men ? [9]

In the US midwest for some reason Bowling Green is the place to go for a quick marriage,

Yeah, with a shotgun at your back. Vegas is where you go too maybe Niagara Falls.

UK, Ireland / Polish meat in English supermarkets? [73]

man who is probably feasting on a hot dog and chips.

Well, that's a culinary leap from lungs, heart, etc. of a sheep or calf, mixed with suet, seasoning, and oatmeal and boiled in the animal's stomach

Love / Difficult Polish girlfriend - how long would you put up with her? My story. [68]

some traits are definitely based on culture or ethnicity. i have never met am american woman with that kind of attitude. otoh, i've known plent of polish men and women that are just exactly like that.. so in conclusion.. some "generalities" are spot on.

Yes, have to agree with you unfortunately. There's prima donnas in the US no doubt but usually it's looked down on.

News / Poland among the greatest enemies of Russia [112]

Solidarity, Kaczynski twins etc. etc.

Yeah good list, plus Doestevsky was always slamming Poland. ;-U .. Maybe Sasha can shed some light on it.

News / Poland among the greatest enemies of Russia [112]

fail to understand how could Estonia be higher in the enemy ranking than Poland

I read that Estonians dug up Soviet graves from WWII and defamed them. Maybe it was Nazis, not sure (or both). Well, hey at least you made the list. Lol.

Language / Polish Language Pronunciation - Example Words and Phrases [178]

Same holds true in German. Sooo many expressions in daily speech, particularly in business, have been anglicized, it's sometimes hard to know whether or not the German word is still in use, or even whether there ever was a German equivalent

Yeah sad, too much Hollywood probably.

History / "Our Forgotten Allies" - Polish-American relations. [52]

How many Israelis pay taxes in US? A hundred thousand? I doubt even half of that, yet you send 2 bilion dollars annualy, in other words you're paying for an alliance which brings no benefits whatsoever yet costs you money and international flak for supporting a controversial state.

I don't often agree with Sok.. but this is 100% correct. This money actually would have been better spent in Poland. At least they have a our backs from time to time.

History / Russia: Poland responsible for WW II [300]

The German loves to invade Serbia but not Afghanistan. You Krauts should have to pay for all of the Serbian destruction, after all you have deep pockets now. This is the same rationale imposed on the US.

History / Russia: Poland responsible for WW II [300]

Don't invent history here.

I won't if you wont.. Look, it would have taken 100 people to take Hitler down. Your people are robots that can't think for themselves. YOU ARE TO BLAME. Not some treaty and sure as hell not the US of A, who basically had to SAVE you from you. Typical Kraut. Danziger? You would volunteer today. You haven't changed one damn bit.

History / Russia: Poland responsible for WW II [300]

Well...that the people in Versailles didn't was the starting point of WWII.

Stop blaming your misdeeds on Versailles. You put Hitler in power and went along with all his crazy, idiotic ideas. Would you like to also blame Versailles for the Stasi as well?

Life / Why are Polish people cheap? [126]

I was just at an insurance convention in the US. I witnessed two Polish people from Warsaw giving $200 of their own money to an African charity.

News / Does Poland count in Europe or is it ignored? [427]

I can only invite you to come to Germany and talk with the ppl. about that "great historical event in 1989" - you may get one big yaaaawwn.

Well, I have to admit that's kind of surprising if it's true. The Stasi shouldn't be forgotten so easily.. or Bush for that matter.

Life / JOKES ABOUT POLISH. Have we deserve it? [68]

That is why there are so many Polish jokes because the Poles can't take a joke.

They can't take it but man they can sure dish it out. You make a joke about a Pole they pout like a little kid.
