Much of Polands history is reflected in its architecture. Wroclaw for example is German built and efforts are made to maintain the original concept. New buildings in certain areas must fit in with the existing style.

It is so obvious that you know absolutely nothing about Poland.
You write all this junk as if you were living in the middle of it, and it were real.
On the same day as the Columbine High drama, someone went nuts in a Wroclaw school. The events were kept out of the news.
At least there are no shoot-ups in Polish schools like in the US,

By the time you get to Poland (June) the kids will be on holiday here too... until September.
Come here for two months... for a holiday and then go back. That way you will only be apart for two or three months.
Putting seven kids into private education would cost a great deal of money too.
We are scheduled to arrive in Poland, April of this year, however, the children here in my state, in the US,dont get out of school until June 7th.

All of Wroclaw's sights can be seen in two or three days. Add a couple of days, if you want to use Wroclaw as your base and visit the surrounding area.
You'll find more in Krakow, but better night life in Wroclaw.

If someone said they were Polish then they were probably Polish.
It wasn't the person in the census who said Prussian. It was the immigration authority, when the person landed in the USA.
The US recognized Prussia as there was no Poland. Later when there was no Prussia.....
To settle it. you need a place of birth and name. I would also think that anyone who spoke Polish, was Polish.
Actually, one of my ancestors said she was prussian on one census and then later said she was polish...
