Love / Do Polish guys think getting physically violent with a woman is OK? [40]

Women are weaker than men. Fact.

Ya reckon so? I have a friend who owns more properties properties in the UK and abroad than you could ever dream of she also holds down a very good job...Im sure she is a "stronger" woman than any man you'll ever know!

I was talking about those crazy women who like being abused, Shelley. There are those who don't leave such brutal men and even provoke them into such actions.

If you'd ever met a woman who'd been in such a relationship you would have an inclin into why such women stay in such relationships...fear is a big factor and the fact they've been conditioned to respond to such abuse, its very ****** up but it becomes a part of daily life...as a man you really couldnt understand. As someone said its not restricted to class in the UK, the nice middle class man comes home and beats the **** out of his wife too.

I knew albos are strong men who beat women.

I'd like to see one try and do it to me, Im not violent, quite the oposite, but if someone put their hands on me, they'd be wearing the scares not me!

Some women bring it on themselves.

What??? Are you crazy! A man can easily walk away if a woman is trying to cause an argument, its not a green light to fcuking hit a woman!!!!!!!!!! Im really shocked at that comment Seanus!

Agreed, but it should work both ways, though

Agreed.

to put a woman in the place dat was given to hers by ALLAH our creator is cultur norm in albania. she is weaker then men.

You are a fcuking retard...I'd like to get you in judo ring and see who's fcuking submissive! Ya tw*t!

Work / Specific qualifications for a specific career [23]

Actually its not,

Its more like that in the UK now, since the introduction of Graduate schemes, its completely changed the dynamics of an office, those that worked hard for years and learnt the trade and moved up through the ranks, dont get that chance now, they bring in "trainee" managers...no experience and fresh out of uni...But they do have a degree..

UK, Ireland / Irish Primary schools to teach Polish [223]

Get over it & move on...I'm as Irish as they come.

And confused about his sexuality too ;0)

just thought that Magdalena is a strange name for a man

Maybe he dresses up and fancies himself as a Magdalena...Strange choice of name for an Irish man given the history associated with the name! (slight variation, same name)

Love / Polish boys - are they handsome? [46]

All women are different, as Jump Bunny said, the grass is not always greener on the other side.

As for Polish men, Im sure they are likely to catch the eye of an English women if that is what the English women is attracted to.

But as Jump Bunny said, the grass is not always greener on the other side...English women are after all, only women and have full potential to break hearts too.

Besides most of us are really fat (Im actually 25 stone) and haggish like, why would you want to bother when Polish women are so beautiful and slim ;0) Having said that and seen your photo (if that is you) if you have a fettish for really fat ugly birds, I'm here waiting for you.

UK, Ireland / What do Polish people in Ireland think of Irish food? [90]

Colcannon.

Now that does me for a hangover, I can sit there with a bowl of it and eat it till it comes out of my ears :)

For Aphro, its bascially white cabbage (or I like it with leaks too) and mash potatoes.

Champ is similar (well its still mash) but with onions (onions are cooked in milk and the milk added to the potatoes along with the sofened onions, you can add chives but we never used to)

Soda bread is lovely.

He did however forget Irish Sausages, which are to die for :)

All in all Irish food is lovely and very tasty.

Law / Polish visa for Third country Nationals [4]

I'd say you'd have to apply for a new work permit, since you are actually going to work in a different country, this should be down to your employer if he wants to move to another country.

News / New York Post : "Polish" Death Camps and more [278]

So these camps are called German death camps in Poland!

They do in England, kids go on field trips to Poland to see the camps, maybe you should insert "they should teach people in America"

Love / My Perfect Love Story so I thought [73]

At least their marriages last lifetime unlike in Europe. And u r saying how can he have idea about love ?

They get divorced in Pakistan you know!

Look what all **** happens in Europe or in US. Boys sleeping with their moms, brother and sister having sex I mean what the hell and you never mention those.

These are rare, however Pakistanis marry their first cousins all the time, please dont tell me this is rare because I know its not.

And where did you get the notion that every marriage over there is arranged.

I didnt say "every" read my post, I said "the vast majority" - its a cultural thing, they do it with 2nd generation Pakistani kids in this country send them back "home" to marry their first cousin. Look, like you said, you are culturally different.

Anyway, you will hopefully move on and get on with your life, good luck and next time listen to your family and friends, these are the people that are close to you and usually know best.

Life / I'm an American who lived in Poland for 6 years. I'm not welcome anymore. [169]

Rules are rules and have to be obayed..He didn't follow the correct channels and was expelled, illegal immigrants are illegal immigrants regardless of their nationality.

Yes they can. So many people here don't seem to understand Schengen rules. To have open borders, the deal is that a ban from one country counts in all. For that reason, a ban from Poland is a ban from Schengen.

Well, I learnt something new today, it does make sense, my apologies for not believing in the first place.

Love / My Perfect Love Story so I thought [73]

Its also a cultural issue I guess because where I come from we have these ideas or notions of being with woman for the rest of the life.

The vast majority of marriages in Pakistan are arranged, so can you tell me where you get the notion of love from?

As for turning up in Poland, I dont think that it's a good idea, she is with someone else now, its a bit disrespectful to her boyfriend if you do. He has made it clear to you that they are together and he wants you to leave her alone. Your "relationship" with her is over now.

Love / My Perfect Love Story so I thought [73]

remember the first time I saw her.. I thought she was an angel

I am not that fascinated by outer beauty.

Evidently you are, I always find that line "its what's on the inside that counts" to be complete bollox, I dont look across across a crowded room and think, woooow that really ugly bloke over there looks like he's got a wonderful personality!

You never met her, she has a boyfriend in "real" life, get over it!

Love / Need help figuring out a polish guy [55]

Aww :) how long before he called?

As I said, he came back round later that evening and took me out for dinner.

If he questions how you got his number, just say "Oh I thought you called me but I missed the call, I saw your number in my phone, and thought I'd just send you a text".

Sneeky ;0) But I agree (Id never do it personally though)

Confused

It will get rid of any questions you have, best senario will be you end up going out, worst will be he ignors your text, either way you will know.

News / Liga Polskich Rodzin- A worthy option? [56]

The whole point for me is that they are ani EU, dont they see the benefits of being in the EU has brought to Poland, i.e freedom of movement for Polish people and the funding and the companies (I could name a couple of English ones that have moved their operations there) that have gone to Poland.

As for the gay marriage thing, well, it only arose to give same sex couples the same legal rights as hetro couples, I dont see anything wrong with that.

Abortion, well, its a difficult one, I'd rather have it legal and than not, I think more about the safety of womens lives that the high moral ground that some people like to take.

Capital punishment, I thought we were living in a modern society and had done away with flogging people in the streets, cutting off bits and peices of the anatomy and had moved on to dealing with people in a more civilsed manner.

As for buying land, I wonder if Ola123 is a member of this party ;0) I also wonder how much a Pole would cry and screem discrimination if they were told they couldn't buy land in a foreign country!

RevokeNice...he was told he was banned from the EU for a year.

They cant ban him from working in the EU...They can only ban him from Poland...They were talking shite! England cant ban someone from working in Poland, how the hell would they know if some American was going to work there...

Love / Need help figuring out a polish guy [55]

Totally would have waited until a 2nd date, but this wasn't even a date! I was pretty much just rebounding :(

Well, send him a text or even better call him and ask him out for a drink...Dont write it off just yet, it all sounded very positive from your first post...As for wondering if he doesnt do that stuff, well if he usually doesnt, then he must have seen something in you that he liked. Good luck x

The same thing happen me in 2002, I met a polsih man in a pub, we went to his house, he made me breakfast, now we are married, with two children and a great life. Sleeping together on our first night worked for us. I hope you have lots of fun with your polish man.Good Luck

See, all those that say one night stands are bad, can be wrong, sometimes it just seem the right thing at the time, I was with my ex for 6 years, we slept together on the first night, he didnt get breakfast though, he came back round later and took me out for dinner :)

Love / Need help figuring out a polish guy [55]

How do I tell if they were signs of further interest in me or just some kind of after-morning polish etiquette?

By the sounds of it he's very keen, had he not been and thought badly of you, he'd have had you out the door as soon as the sun came up, I dont think it had anything to do with his nationality.

I don't imagine many Germans and French live in Ireland.

Plenty in Manchester, but they all speak English. ;0)

UK, Ireland / Irish Primary schools to teach Polish [223]

I live in a large town, which I think would be representative of what the rest of England or the UK is like. It has a 94% white population, reminiscent of the overall 93% for the whole of the UK, so it confuses me when you state a 90% ethnic population in a school. I can't help but think that most of you are overreacting or hyperboling somewhat... ?

Not at all, I did some invidualting for a friend at a school in north Manchester last year and there was only a couple of white kids in the hall taking exams, the rest were asian. Also your 94% is rather generous, in 2001 it was less than 90%, that was 8 yeas ago. England apparently only has 65%.

UK, Ireland / Recruitment agencies advertise for Polish only workers [162]

I reckon you never paid any, that's why you don't know!

Ragtime is a raghead so you might just have something there ;0)

Recruitment agencies are parasites. Lowest of the low.

Yeah and the sad fact that perm jobs are being replaced by temp contracts to take the financial responsibilities off the employer, makes the situation in the UK even worse, of course there are perm jobs, but they are becoming less and less as the years go by. Casual labour is what future holds, no job security and low pay for the masses. Of course those in high places will command massive payments for their contracts :0)

UK, Ireland / Recruitment agencies advertise for Polish only workers [162]

People who are desparate for work are often taken advantage of this doesn't just happen to Poles, good, honest recruitment agencies are few and far between. More people less jobs, means the agencies can pick and chose and do as they like, people don't complain because that isn't going to pay their bills.

UK, Ireland / Irish Primary schools to teach Polish [223]

But remember... we've been here as long as the Pakistanis.

Actually longer, if you go on the fact that they thought that Jack the Ripper was a Pole ;0)

Your sentence could just as easily be saying "Nothing changes in a school which is 90% Polish." in a decade or so if some common sense isn't applied now when there is a still a chance too.

I went to a Catholic school, plenty of Italian names and Hungarian and Spanish and Greek and Ukranian and Irish of course, we all learnt what was on the curriculum there were no "special" cases for any of the kids who were probably either 1st or 2nd generation. The only reason you knew they had a foreign connection was because of their name, they were fully assimliated into English society and were not look upon as "foreign". This worked well, it's only now with asians and africans that can't speak English we have problems, as I have already stated, Catholic schools are still doing well and they have a large intake of Poles.
