Food / Polish vs american food [34]

I took a day trip recently and stopped at a McDonald's and their food is actually good now. They've really improved it. I can see why people get addicted.

Food / Convenience foods [17]

I`m having Frankfurterki for dinner.

I had Polish sausage from Costco. It was okay.

Wow. Thanks. I see the store is in Chicago. That seems like the place to be. It's definitely on my list of places to visit someday.

Food / Convenience foods [17]

What i really meant was things like Mrs T's which you can buy at the grocery store

The only place I've ever found pierogi is at a Polish deli and it's frozen. It's made by a company and shipped here. It's great. The flavor is incredible but it seems high in calories so I don't eat much of it.

However, there are convenience type Polish sausages that are disgusting. Not anywhere near like the real thing.

Food / Polish vs american food [34]

Just by reading what people say it does seem that they think all Americans eat fast food but it's not true. If we all ate like that we would all be dead. We have a wide variety of foods available to us which includes seafood, vegetables and fruits which many of us have daily. Even at the fast food restaurants there are salads and a variety of healthier alternatives which many people prefer. Otherwise, they wouldn't sell that stuff.

Love / Polish Engagement and Wedding Traditions [42]

i think its best to assume that all Polish guys over a certain age (not sure what that age is.. maybe 28?) are married.

Well bang go my chances then i'm well over that age. lol

There's nothing wrong with marrying a younger man. :)

UK, Ireland / Getting married to a Polish Citizen in the UK [371]

He's probably Protestant Christian. Protestant Christians don't believe in practicing the rituals that Catholics practice. You know, like confession, confirmation, praying to saints...

UK, Ireland / Getting married to a Polish Citizen in the UK [371]

but with 53 % of all marriage ending in divorce and Poland refusing to follow treaties that were written to protect children, I would not encourage it. There is no rule of law in Poland. it's a joke the way they administer justice, the Judges are clowns, it's all a circus.

What kinds of bad things happen?

Love / Why Polish girl is afraid of a marriage? [16]

It sounds like she really likes you but isn't ready for marriage. Not every woman at 21 feels ready to get married even if she's mature and even if other women her age are getting married. Keep in mind that many Polish women are Catholic and they don't believe in divorce. So, marriage means forever and that's a difficult decision to make at that age.

Love / Seeking advice - I get a feeling she is seeing other guys [25]

she is in her mid twenties. the deal is she said she was going somewhre with family and i saw her family so i know she went with whoever. it might be friends and maybe an ex was going to be there i dont know other than this well this is what made me think that

It does seem strange that she said she was going with her family but didn't. Did you ever ask her about that? Maybe she planned to go with them but decided at the last minute to go with friends instead.

I don't think most women in their mid-twenties go out with different men just to figure out which one is better. I think they do it because they don't feel ready to be committed to just one person. But most women won't stay with a man if that's how they feel. So I don't think she would stay with you if she felt that way. Maybe she's telling you the truth.

Love / Met a polish boy last summer [6]

When I spend time with him things are great and his mom likes me

If his mom likes you, you're a step ahead. Some moms aren't so nice. I wouldn't worry about the rest of the family speaking in Polish around you. You're not dating them. All that matters is that your boyfriend likes you.

UK, Ireland / Brit Youths Protest Anti-Gay Poland [114]

If I hear about a gay couple that adopted a child I swear I’m going to strip naked and dance my promiscuous dance in front of their house to the music of “Small town boy” and then we will see how tolerant the really are!!!

If you do that, be sure and post the pictures on the forum. :)
