Hi, I'm a nurse from Poland planning to move to the USA. Does the Polish nursing diploma get recognized smoothly in the US, or are there common difficulties with the certification process?

Also, I know that passing the NCLEX exam is required for nursing licensure in the US.

If you have personal experience or advice, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Have you been in contact with your local Izba PiP? They're more likely to have information than anyone here. I know someone in the field and can ask them but I don't know if they have specifics....

There are all sorts of nursing options open, from medical assistant to RN. You can find a job somewhere doing some level of nursing care. Nuns run many huuuuge medical systems, like Dignity Health in California, formerly Catholic Healthcare West, and now the largest hospital network in the state. They have operations across the nation. God will find a job for you. Something like 70% of the hospital systems in the country have a link to one religion or another. All of them are in it for the Benjamins.

Jeremy,
Your profile says you are located in Krakow, but just curious whether you
are from Poland or simply work in Poland.
