Hi there, I'm a Polish citizen and I'm in USA, Las Vegas on my holidays. I do have a valid polish driving license and I'm not sure if I can drive a car.

Please help, thanks:-)

You can. Make sure you have your polish driver's license, valid passport and unexpired I-94 on you while driving. It would be nice if you had the official translation of your driver's license, but it's not that neccessary.

How old are you? There are age restrictions for rental cars (usually 25), and insurance premiums can be prohibitive.

Why do you need to rent a car? I have been there and there are loads of taxi's and limo's ready to take you where you need to go.

He might want to visit the Death Valley, the Valley of Fire or the Hoover Dam. Too far for a taxi.

Have a read of this, about papers needed: news.tripwheels.com/2012/08/16/driving-licences-for-car-hire-in-the-usa/

From Vegas you can head in all directions to Death Valley, Grand Canyon, even LA or Palm Springs plus further afield - maybe his flight just goes into LV. Maybe he just wants to drive a car!

I am not criticising, just asking! I have been there I know what the scene is. I may not even leave the strip.

You'll roast to death in Las Vegas now. Temperature averages 115+ degrees. Death Valley is over 125 scorching degrees!!!

I've only been to Death Valley once, and my feet burned through the soles of my trainers! My g/f refused to get out of the car LOL

Few days ago they forecasted a new heat record for the upcoming days: 135 F! Just saw that they have lowered it to 129 F now. Refreshing... :)

There used to be a Polish restaurant in Las Vegas, named Polonez. I believe it's no longer in operation:(
