Non-EU international driving licence - driving in Poland and Europe, renting a car

Hello dear members :)

I have a question regarding driving licences.

I only hold a Lebanese driving licence, although i am Polish, i don't hold the Polish driving licence since i do not live there.

I am planning a trip to Poland next year, and drive from there to Wörthersee, Austria.

Does a "International driving licence" based on my Lebanese driving licence allow me to rent a car in Poland or Austria?

Or will i need a European driving licence?

Thank you in advance.

I'm pretty sure your Lebanese one will be fine for renting and driving, just need a credit card to rent. Int. driving licenses are basically worthless since you often just pay some amount of money to get one in your home country i.e. they prove nothing. Never had a problem renting anywhere in Europe with my American or Polish license.

Thank you :)

One thing though, my Lebanese driving license is written totally in Arabic. there's not a single english phrase on it that may prove it's an actual driving license...will it still be considered legit?

OK. Maybe go with the international one then if there is no English or Euro language on it.
