Can anyone help by advising on the things to watch for in taking up Polish residency from the UK?

After living for about 2 years part time in Poland I am about to take the plunge and transfer my official life (residency) from the UK. Havign experienced the bureaucracy already this makes me nervous about everything from Tax implications to drivign licence. Any thoughts or experiences would be very welcome .
