Hi hello, i am 20 years old, i am from The Netherlands. And i live and work in Krakow for the last few months and i only go out with people who are 25+.

Its fun but i want to meet some people of my own age! I dont care if they are boys or girls, its about people in general.

Does anyone know to what club or pub i should go?

Regards,
Alex

Hey Alex,

I was in similar position. I'm 21 and from Denmark.
There are no simple place to go to meet such unless you go to school.
It's quiet easy to establish contact with younger females, but male's in Poland before they are in their mid 20's seems to be very reserved.

Either way, if you ever wanna grab a beer or such just let me know.

And i live and work in Krakow

what is that you do for a living?

And i live and work in Krakow

Try some interest groups, like Harcerze: harcerze.zhr.pl
or the Strzelcy: zs-strzelec.mil.pl/kg
Both are quite popular with young people your age and quite interactive.
And further to the previous question, who do you work for?

seems to be very reserved.

That's why you have to make the first move(:

Harcerze:

Isnt that for much younger kids?

Strzelcy:

Isnt that for weapon fanatics? Most of them far right wing(i could be wrong here).

Id try student clubs and pubs:

Not really. They take all ages, older people act as instructors. As you advance in age you move up for lack of a better word, in rank.

Officially they are not politically affiliated to anybody. I think that weapons handling is an important component of some of the exercises that they do, but I believe that they have a greater focus on physical activity. One of the elements of their philosophy is service to others.

Harcerze:

The Scouts! HAhahahaha. "Oh yea, please I'd love to be molested..."
....whole load of men running around in shorts and going camping? No thanks

Strzelcy

Sausage-fest. Why you have have the wimminz?

OP, go to a pub, talk to people, simple.
Or join a class of some sort. Something women like so you'll get the odd ride. Art classes or some other crap like that.

Form a band, chick dig bands. If you don't play an instrument, buy a crappy bass guitar, any clown can play bass, it's easy.

Good for you, but if you are looking for that sort of experience then the harcerze are not for you

It's open to both sexes actually

It really is that simple. Better in a club. Better still, go out on student night:D And if you smoke, sit in the smoking section and just count to ten and people will start talking to you!

If you want to meet the ladies, find a mixed group, chat to the guys and it won't take long before you're introduced;)

Good luck! :D:D:D

It really is that simple.

If it only was that simple! Sarting a conversation is quite easy granteed, creating a lasting relationship in a room full of strangers, on an off chance is not.

Agreed. Creating a lasting relationship takes months if not years. But the OP just wanted advice on meeting 18-22yr old people. In the meantime he can meet people, make contacts, and expand his social circle:D

sort of experience then the harcerze are not for you

Yea right, scouts are usually run by creepy guys who live at home with their cats and mothers even though they are in their 40s or 50. Chairman Jaro would prob be a scout master if he hadn't stumbled into politics. No self-respecting youth would join the scouts. C'mon, an organised group where the leader wears shorts and white socks. No way jose. Scouts is related far to closely to the church for my liking, just don't trust them and would never trust them with my kids.

As for the other thing, a whole load of hormonal teenage boys playing soldiers. I bet they get all the ladies :P

You have got a very perverse view of what the orgnisation is about, I doubt if you ever were anywhere near any scout movements. I wonder from where this irrationality comes from?

Jaro would prob be a scout master

No he wouldn't. President Komorowski on the other had is the honorary patron of Harcerze, and was a member of the organisation - that is how he met his wife. In the Warsaw Uprising the scouts fought on the frontline, their whole philosophy is based around service to others, a concept you clearly seem to struggle with. At its height the membership of the organisation ran into the hundreds of thoudands.

Altho I do like Brono, he has a cool moustache

Scouts = sex abuse

Hardly irrational

What's it like on your high horse?

Hi Alex, if you want to meet new people join the ESN (Erasmus Student Network). It's an organization which looks after students who came to Poland from other countries. We organize many events, trips and parties so i'm sure you'd find something interesting for you. What is more scouting isn't as bad idea as many people think. I'm scout girl so i know what i'm writing. If you have any question, ask;)

Scouts = sex abuse

Not only does this demonstrate your irrationality, but it also confirms your stupidity.
1st. Out of all those countries listed Poland isn't even on the list.
2nd By far the most common cases of sexual abuse are perpetrated by a family member and not an outsider.
3rd So if you had any kids, statistically they would have more chance of being abused by you or one of your family members and not any outside organization.

I find your whole attitude rather pathetic really, you clearly have some issues.

They are the lamest videos I've ever watched

For somebody with an intellect of a child that is hardly surprising, all the scouts in the 1st video lost their lives fighting Nazism and communism, obviously you find their sacrifices trivial.

Great organization! They recently celebrated their 100th anniversary in Krakow.

If you are interested in sports, that is a great way to meet new friends. You may not think of the gym as a social place, but you can sign up for group training and meet friends that way.

UUhm i just asked for some contacts of my own age lol, not for a scouting disscusion.
Well i like photograhpy, and i know and see sometimes students taking pictures for a project or so.
so that can be something. But they are always with a group like 5+.. so for me it would be hard to just say HI.

Btw i work for a IT company ;)
