Hello. Just wondering if anyone might be able to help me. In a nutshell, I rent out a flat in Poland. The tenant, a single male, in general is okay, but sometimes late with their rent. Their tenancy expires at the beginning of March and I need them to vacate in order for a family member to move in. I am based in England and over here, you have to serve a tenant with a Section 21 notice to quit the property. Just wondering if anyone knows how it works in Poland? Do I have to inform them to leave at any point? Thanks for any advice that anyone may have.

Yes.
I always wonder why people keep the properties they buy/inherit when they dont know how to manage them.

It's a very good idea to remind them now that the tenancy ends at the end of Feb.
@jon357 Thank you for responding. In which case I will inform them at the beginning of January that I require the property returning to me. I presume then there are no documents that need to be served? Also, I have heard that landlords in Poland have to provide alternative accommodation, would that apply in this case? Thanks.

I'd let them know a bit earlier (unless you've a reason to think that the tenant would do a runner). If the tenancy agreement has an end date however, this is just a matter of courtesy.

No. You don't need to provide alternative accommodation.
It the tenants have a meldunek, you'll need to cancel that (though it isn't an urgency and can wait). If the tenants have a meldunek and there's a child under 18 at the address, there can be other issues however.
