I didn't move American industry to China

Hey, moron, who moved American industry to China and why?
Torq  13 | 1268

who moved American industry to China and why?

Well, it wasn't me. :)

And I already explained to you why it happened...

people want more stuff - fast, cheap, and convenient. That leads companies to: outsource to low-wage countries, cut costs wherever possible, prioritize quantity over quality. If American consumers were a bit less retarded about fast fashion, next-day shipping, or replacing their phones every 2 years, there wouldn't be such intense pressure to find the cheapest labor available.

... you're supposed to be an engineer, your reading comprehension should be at a decent level.

So, do you want me to tell you China's secret plan or not?

Well done for trashing another thread

Ptak still hasn't posted any selections but mocks me despite his useless inputs

It still seems impossible to find an American who understands tariffs, VAT or inflation

And all comments from Novi come with those MAGA trademarks - victimhood, resentment, insults and bad manners

And I already explained to you why it happened...

No. Your are lying.

There is only one reason why US companies moved production to China.

What was it?

Dear children, never make speeches when debating obstinent weasels. They don't listen and will ignore what you said.

Always ask questions. That's what lawyers do.

Unless you enjoy watching your opponent's slow death, go for the throat and be done.

Like this:

What was the main reason why US companies moved production to China?

If you are as smart as I am, you know the answer, and have a follow up question that nails the weasel to the wall.

What was the main reason why US companies moved production to China?

To take advantage of cheap and slave labour.

Thereby harming the American labour economy.Short sighted idiocy!
But hey, we all did it.........

Now as prices rise,Americans will suffer.......

To take advantage of cheap and slave labour.

Hey, Torq, do you agree with Milo?
Novichok  6 | 9504
15 Apr 2025   #370
Hey, Torq, it was such a simple yes-no question...

Are you still thinking or did you give up?
Novichok  6 | 9504
15 Apr 2025   #371
Now as prices rise, Americans will suffer.......

Yes, paying market prices is more painful than those based on slave labor.

BTW, those suffering Americans would throw a fit if their wages were one day adjusted to what the Chinese people are paid ...to make them "competitive" in the "global economy".

Or would they smile...."We love being competitive!"

They would and won't accept it.So,American prices will rise......
Novichok  6 | 9504
15 Apr 2025   #373
So,American prices will rise......

Becaue they were artificially low all these years...

If you consider all components of the ledger, US consumers pay a vary high price for those cheap Chinese goods - just as for that "cheap" migrant labor.

There is not such thing as cheap anything. The idiots never see the invoice for the other things...Like kids...I don't see it so it doesn't exist...
Miloslaw  24 | 5481

Becaue they were artificially low all these years..

Agreed, but are Americans prepared to pay the price for the new reality?
It doesn't bother wealthy people like you and me but I think ordinary folks will suffer and might rise up.

16 Apr 2025   #375
Agreed, but are Americans prepared to pay the price for the new reality?

Nobody is prepared for pain - even if it's temporary. See addicts and 30-year-old 'kids" who are eventually told to get a job and pay real rent.

American consumers are like that 30-yo bum living in his mother's basement and paying funny rent. They pay stupid prices based on stupid economics of making it there and selling it here.

That same consumer, the econ moron addicted to unrealistic prices, throws a tantrum when his employer outsources his job to India. It happens regularly with engineers and lawyers.

All by email. A file out to India. A week later...A file back from India... How dare they!!!

But shoes from China....no problem...says the American consumer who never worked in an American shoe factory.

American consumers are like that 30-yo bum living in his mother's basement and paying funny rent.

That is an American problem.

Deal with it!
Novichok  6 | 9504
17 Apr 2025   #379
That is an American problem.

BS.

It's your problem, too. Quoting:

In the four quarters ending Q3 2024, the UK had a £25.0 billion trade deficit with China. This deficit was largely due to a goods deficit of £44.8 billion being partially offset by a £5.7 billion surplus in services. While the overall deficit has narrowed in recent months, it remains significant

What does the UK make? I mean consumer durable goods.

Time for a one month check on my stock tips and they are doing well

Bank Pekao +13%
Nike +11%
Swatch + 10%
Essilor +2%
Apple +0.5%
Kraft -2%

Overall a gain of 6% if you are measuring in local currency or 8% if measuring in crappy USD which has declined strongly v Swiss and zloty.

Market growth 2.6% - so I have comfortably beaten that.

Bobko's tips will take off if the oil price recovers but it's been a slow start

Gazprom +2%
Surgutneftgaz 0.5%. I will take a look at that when the war finishes

Ptak still didn't submit any picks. Not sure why us he is a man who can confidently put down 200,000 bucks at a time to take advantage of market fluctuations.

Over 20.000 up so far, 40.000 shortly, as soon as the tariffs dominos start tumbling . You see, the investment theory has a great divide; you and I are divided by a schism as great as the Grand Canyon. I took my money out when the market fluctuated at an all-time high. Good time to be in the money market
Then jump back in when the market was in the downfall. No doubt about it, I posted my moves in real time. Remember when I gave you the best tip possible, urging you, buy, buy , buy.But you a greedy covard, got caught with your pants down, with no money too Invest. Now you are in the futile attempt to save face, playing a childish
game of leading from behind, Johnny Come Lately , selecting the stocks in the rising market, even Szczelec would be the genius compared to you, besides it is all
fake, no money involved.I will give you a priceless tip: stay away from individual stocks, and I hope that if you do, you are using stops properly

Take comprehension classes, I hate to be repetitive, only suicidal masochists give or take tips from internet strangers. You are hopeless, there are tips in my previous post, but you are too thick to recognize the teaching tip.

Very little, we have moved on from that and now provide services that are the envy of the world.

What does the USA produce in consumer durable goods that other countries want to buy?Go on.....

True, however we're still one of the world's larger manufacturing countries. Where I am at home there, there are mile upon mile of of factories all working hard. Big in food and pharmaceuticals. In my area clothing and a few other things.

Plus of course all the other stuff. People forget that the U.K. holds most of the patents connected with graphene, the new generation of Small Modular Reactors and a few other things. And as you say, services, especially education. And London is Europe's biggest tourist destination, with slightly more annual visitors than Paris.

For those outside the US, note that the budget bill passed a few days ago includes some serious extra taxes on foreign shareholders of US assets, up to 5 percent increases each year for 4 years.

It's a weird policy since Golden Cow wants to encourage inward investment to the US, but I am a bit skeptical that he read the 1000 pages of the bill

1000 pages of the bill

But you read and understood all of it, that's why we have to endure your enlightening comments. It takes enormous insolence to show your face on the PF page
after the show of ignorance after an embarrassing discussion concerning markets and stock trading. Hide or at least change your username to more appropriate
