What Seems to have happened is that the ability to organise and advocate for better conditions such as a fair wage for a fair days work was attacked by the government. From what I know the police officer in the US can't justify using lethal force and claim that the car was used as a "weapon" if he positioned himself in front of the car himself and didn't move away even though he could. They aren't supposed to block cars with their own bodies.
