USA News and Poland - part 15

The time for not giving a fvck for what any country thinks, or what any company thinks is long over due.

I would add US voters to your list...Unfortunately, even total retards with the IQ lower than 70 and women are allowed to vote.
Well then, firstly, Trump doesn't have those values, so he won't bring them back

Memo to all PF morons:

Don't post your moronic opinions as facts. You can't prove them to be true so it's pointless.

For example: Trump thinks that...

No, azzholes, you don't know what Trump thinks so don't be an azzhole and don't post shlt like this.

Based on their record of being 100% correct, the above doesn't apply to Bobko and PAK.

Tariffs are not taxes,

To a moron, anything that adds to the price is a tax.

So what is tariff? Simple. Tariff is a penalty for moving a job to another country. Stay here - no penalty.

Why the penalty? For not giving a fvck about the destruction and despair left behind...and leaving the task of supporting ex-workers and their kids to the rest of us.

Let's call it getting even.

less Temu

It's not just finished products. A small company making some extruded plastic product retailing at about $30 or $40 needs to buy expensive moulds made from stainless steel. The US can't supply these moulds at the same price, today they cost 145% more if they come from China, which they usually do. That means the plastic product is now beyond the sweet spot for impulse purchase. It's not an essential product so the imaginary small business employing a few people goes bust. If it is an essential product the customer pays more and cuts back on other non essential products, back to the top again and someone else goes bust. This scenario is going to be repeated all across the US.

The solution is long term and difficult, people need to be informed of the coming pain.

Trump thinks

I would also refrain from drawing such far-reaching conclusions.

@Alien
Trump is like a bad scientist who has a hypothesis and tries to make observations fit it.

Another example.

Of what? lol Of calling you what you are? Aren't you Trump supporters? And fanatical at that? That's what "Trumpists" is supposed to indicate - the blind fanatism in supporting anything Trump says and does without thinking, analysing, questioning. It looks like the beginning of a cult of the leader and I think it's very dangerous.

Also, a Trump supporter being upset by someone calling Trump supporters "Trumpists" is pretty rich considering what attitude you guys have towards people who disagree with you, who have different views than you, who are different than you and what names you've been calling them o_O Hypocritical much?

I do blame the US companies and presidential policies.

Why all that hate and anger and accusations towards other countries then?
I think it's natural that countries are looking out for their own economies, their own people, their own industries. Most countries aren't doing that to spite the US. If you think that the US governments weren't protective of your own enough then direct your anger at them. I don't understand such hate and anger being directed at the EU or other countries for protecting their own people. Something that Trump is allegedly trying to do himself.

Imagine a billion zloty going to pay for a study on gay mice in Uganda or something so stupid.

That's Trumpist bullsh1t/fake news though:

rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/trump-transgender-mice-medical-research-1235289439/

The reasearch was about "transgenic" mice, not "transgender" (or "gay") mice. Those were lab research mice that were genetically altered to better model human disease response. A medically beneficial research.

And that's one of the problems with Trump's administration - all the idiocy, the ignorance, sloppiness or deliberate lying and ideological fanatism.

and quickly changing, right, when the subject of discussion turns to America.
Look at the above quote: Every country has the right, even the duty, to protect its people, except America

You're wrong (or lying again). I already wrote that I'd have nothing against the US making equalizing tariffs to the level of what other countries impose on American products, because I think that would be fair. And I'm saying this even though I know that would hurt Poland and Polish people including those in my city. Foreign car companies have factories in Poland, Poland is producing a lot of car parts for Western European companies:

pim.pl/caly-swiat-montuje-polskie-czesci-samochodowe/

So tariffs on EU cars will affect Poland and Polish people working in those factories.

But not only tariffs on EU cars. For example, one of big employers in my city is a Japanese company NSK Bearings that in the 90's took over the Polish factory where my parents worked all their lives:

echodnia.eu/swietokrzyskie/nsk-bearings-polska-dawna-kielecka-iskra-przekazala-muzeum-historii-kielc-prawdzie-cuda-zobaczcie-zdjecia-i-film/ar/c1-15909023

This Kielce factory is now the biggest producer of ball bearings in Europe.

Since they're producing bearings for cars, among others, I'm guessing they may get affected by the tariffs too.

Everything is connected these days.

And foreign companies have are already been firing Poles and moving production out of Poland in search of cheaper labour.

Hey, Barney, could you kindly go somewhere else when you need to take a dump...

Trump's administration - all the idiocy, the ignorance, sloppiness or deliberate lying and ideological fanatism.

We already know you are an idiot. Quit digging...

fanatism.

How old are you? 100 or 200?

We already know you are an idiot.

I'm not the one who confused "transgenic" with "transgender" :))) So, either the people who are currently ruling the US are unprofessional idiots or they're deliberately lying to American people.

Quit digging...

Are you kidding me? lol No way, the more I'm digging the more Trumpist idiocy and lies I uncover, haha :D

How old are you? 100 or 200?

What does it have to do with anything?

What does it have to do with anything?

"fanatism" is as archaic as the Bible.

Or "kajet"

Once upon a time, oh' prior to 1970, although only nine-and-a- half,
I recall a more genteel lifestyle, all of which of course was forever upended
by the election of Ronald Reagan in 1981.

Since then, the gutter finally reached the penthouse.....and eventually, the White House!
Prior to that, the low grade element in our society was more or less held at bay and
the average middle-class person was able to chuck a bluff and at least attempt to put
on a friendly mien for someone even if they hated their guts.

As I've said umpteen times, no surprise that since the advent of the Reagan Era, acting
out, random violence and the like has increased exponentially more times than can be counted.

"fanatism" is as archaic as the Bible.

Do you mean the spelling? I made a spelling mistake - I meant "fanaticism" (I simply wrote it in a similar way like it's written in Polish, without checking the dictionary ;P).

Do you mean the spelling? I made a spelling mistake

Actually, you didn't. "Fanatism" is a real word. We just don't use it anymore. So don't feel as bad as when you lose debating PAK.

Quoting:

Definitions of fanatism. noun. excessive intolerance of opposing views. synonyms: fanaticism, zealotry.

zealotry

strange word.

Indeed, Alien. "Zealousness" would work better here.

@Lyzko, aren't both words correct?

Actually, you didn't. "Fanatism" is a real word. We just don't use it anymore.

Huh, thanks, I didn't know that.

So don't feel as bad as when you lose debating PAK.

First of all - I'm not here to "win debates".

You are the first one who wants to lose debates. And on top of that a woman! Holy fvck.

Congratulations...You are a better woman than I am. I wish my enemies slow and painful death.

Why I love Trump and his female no-nonsense hit squad:

In late February, Department of Homeland Security Sec. Kristi Noem announced that in conjunction with Border Czar Tom Homan, immigration officials had already apprehended over 20,000 at large illegal aliens since Trump was sworn in.

'That's a 627% increase in monthly arrests compared to just 33,000 at large arrests under Biden for ALL of last year,' she wrote in a post on X.

In another post on the platform she bragged that DHS has slashed border encounters from 15,000 a day under Joe Biden to just 200 under Trump.

It's a '15-year low,' she wrote.

Memo to Trump;

EXPEL ALL FOREIGN STUDENTS. Orientals first. Then blacks...

Why do we educate the enemy...If they leave, they will be our trade competition. If they stay, they will compete with our kids that spend all hours on Facebook and TT. Not even close...

I'd have nothing against the US making equalizing tariffs to the level of what other countries impose on American products

Of course it's not that I would like it and be happy about it, since those tariffs are likely to affect my country and my people in a negative way. But I wouldn't blame the US for that, because equalizing tariffs would be fair (whether it would be good for American consumers - that's another matter). So, I wouldn't be angry and hostile about it, I would be able to understand that.

You are right but I don't think that any of the Trump supporters are going to answer that.

Yeah, it looks like it. Just like they haven't addressed many other points we made.

You are the first one who wants to lose debates.

No, I'm not here to "lose" debates either. I'm not here to "win or lose" debates. That's not how I view discussions here (unlike you, clearly).

Why do we educate the enemy...

Because your universities (and not only them) are making money on it:

forbes.com/sites/emmawhitford/2025/04/03/suddenly-colleges-with-big-foreign-student-populations-face-existential-risk/

"You get more net tuition from the international students than you get from the domestic students. So if [international students] are 5% to 40% of enrollment, they're probably 10% to 50% of the revenue," says Larry Ladd, a higher education governance and business consultant with the Association of Governing Boards.

EXPEL ALL FOREIGN STUDENTS.

Why on Earth would you do that?:

aau.edu/newsroom/leading-research-universities-report/new-analysis-shows-international-students-contributed

'NAFSA: Association of International Educators released new data last week showing that international students at colleges and universities in the United States "contributed $43.8 billion to the U.S. economy during the 2023-2024 academic year and supported more than 378,000 jobs."'

That's Trumpist bullsh1t/fake news though:

Paulina, given that it is well documented. Must be horrific when you Europeans find it inconceivable, even though 100% true. Watch some Fox News and get informed.
Paulina  19 | 4630
17 Apr 2025   #142
@Novichok, you live in Illinois, right? And so does Joker? (and my family in the US):

"Further, the data showed that "for every three international students, one U.S. job is created/supported." States with the largest economic activity derived from international students were California, New York, Massachusetts, Texas, and Illinois."

I'm guessing Musk would agree with that:

"U.S. economic competitiveness increasingly depends on international talent"

Btw, Novichok, you keep asking us about solutions to American problems.
What do you think about this one?:

floridatoday.com/story/opinion/2025/01/15/elon-musk-criticized-lack-of-u-s-engineering-talent-heres-a-solution/77580776007/

It's just, you know, like with many things something like that wouldn't happen overnight and would take probably a lot of time and work and money (and maybe a change in mentality even). And even with that change - the question is if that domestic talent would be enough.

Paulina, given that it is well documented.

What is "well documented" and where? Post links.

You're wrong (or lying again). I already wrote that I'd have nothing against the US making equalizing tariffs

Heeeee I think you are lying again, and wrong, that's for sure, that's precisely what American tariffs are all about, equalization, what you don't want to admit to, that tariffs are only a part of the equation, protective barriers, and various manipulations like China's currency or Eurepeans sh*t covered eggs are only small samples.in reality there thousands more to numerous to mention. So don't get twisted in pretzels, tariffs are only a small part of a huge problem.

Heeeee I think you are lying again what

That's probably because you're a pathological liar and manipulator and you're projecting your own vices on other people :)

that's precisely what American tariffs are all about, equalization

Well, not if they're not equal.

that tariffs are only a part of the equation, protective barriers, and various manipulations like China's currency or Eurepeans sh*t covered eggs

I don't know anything about China's currency, but I already explained it to you that in Europe we don't wash eggs, because it isn't necessary. Eggs have a protective layer that would get destroyed if they were washed and they would have to be refrigerated then, like there are in the US. For example, Poland can't export eggs into the US - should I complain now that the US is "screwing" Poland, because they won't let in our unwashed eggs into your sterile country? lol :D 🤦

So, I don't think I will break the trend just to honor your request.

Then I have the right to conclude that you're talking out of your ass.

"U.S. economic competitiveness increasingly depends on international talent"

Paulina That's far different from parasitic students, from third-world countries. They incrisingly sucking our resources dry
Paulina  19 | 4630

@Przelotnyptak1, what "parasitic students from third-world countries" are you talking about and how are they "incrisingly sucking your resources dry"?

like there are in the US.

*like they are

Well, not if they're not equal.

Paulina, you are tripping over your shoelaces. If they are unequal, we apply tariffs to make them equal. Thank you, God, for the patience
Paulina  19 | 4630

If they are unequal, we apply tariffs to make them equal.

I meant that if the reciprocal US tariffs are higher than the tariffs of the other country they're not "equal" then.
