USA News and Poland - part 15

Neither out PM nor our President would walk into a ministry building in Warsaw, fire anyone who had been there less than two years and then a week later deny it had happened

Neither would threaten to make Lithuania our 17th wojewodztwo or make a rug pull crypto fraud called Tusk Coin or Duda Coin.

So both of our elected leaders are indeed morally superior to Golden Cow and Musk.

How are the Tesla shares doing BTW ? Still hanging in there ? You know they might go to 50 bucks ?

Well Trump has rowed back on that ie he lied and he has rowed back on his trade wars hoping some backroom yes boys will sort the mess out. Looks like the way to get things done in Trumps admin is to pay lobbyists just like the vehicle manufacturers did.

Net result is that Trump has done nothing to start improving conditions for Americans, when is he going to start?

You're a fire eater and liberal to the core, ( you both are ).
Why don't you give him some time?
Say, give him 100 days, and then you can make some comments that could be even valid.
Right now you look like a pack of hungry dogs trying to get to a dead cow carcass.
It is not a very pleasant view, let me tell you.

@Ironside
It is clear he has no idea of how to fulfill his promises and the proverbial dead cow can see that.

Trump is once again only interested in improving the lot of Donald Trump and no one else, full stop.
The man's a serial rapist, liar, and many time divorcee. He holds nothing more sacred than himself.

Anybody who supports him deserves whatever they get.

Why don't you give him some time?

You may not like it, but I am proud of you, Iron...

Dealing with impatient and possibly retarded children is so exasperating...

He has had 100 days and still no idea how to achieve what he promised.

OK, what should he do to achieve what he promised?

And 75 countries are negotiating tariffs is now considered nothing. Interesting. The fact that China has laid off tens of thousands of workers already must also be nothing. Xi begging the rest of Asia to not negotiate with Trump is nothing as well.

@Lyzko
You mean like anyone who supported Tusk deserves what they are getting? A whole bunch of nothing, and time wasted trying to prosecute PiS members. Maybe keeping the promise of legal abortion was just a nothingburger for you?

He would have achieved a lot more by appointing experienced people, reviewing evidence, getting opinions from different sides and treating his partners with respect.

It's not the swamp or congress or the courts that have stopped him. Usually he has changed his mind after a few days because he is not prepared and wasn't expecting other countries like Putler, Canada or China to stand up to him. Now everyone knows he folds under pressure so he isn't going to achieve much more in the remaining time.

Do you even believe what you write?

China just had thousands of products removed from Amazon, hundreds of ships turned away from US ports, and hundred more ships turned around at sea. China's stock market in the toilet. Pretty effective. 75 countries negotiating. Pretty effective. Canada standing up to who? Canada cant even protect itself without the US. Treating partners with respect the way they have treated the US with respect and unfair trade policies? Those arent partners, they are blood suckers.

Folding under pressure is Tusk not keeping his abortion promise.

Which 75 countries are these ?

Are they really begging ?

It is not "China" that has their ships and product turned away, but Chinese businesses. In most cases they will have already got their money

The Chinese stock market is up slightly this year - not "in the toilet"

Not sure what Polish abortion is doing on this thread

75 countries are negotiating tariffs

Trumps desire to reverse the Rights drive to offshore jobs in return for cheap consumer goods is a policy I support. The crazy policies implemented to enrich the already wealthy also destroyed communities. At the time opposing these policies meant being labelled far left. I'm heartened to see Trump adopting good left of center policies and his cultish followers falling into line.

My point is that he has the right policy (albeit for the wrong reasons) but has adopted the wrong approach. Bullying doesnt work if you repeatedly back down which he has done. Tariffs are never going to work against China or the EU as Terence MacSwiney said "It is not those who can inflict the most but those who can endure the most who will conquer." Americans wont accept any true hardship. Both China and the EU took Trumps threats seriously from the start clearly Trump didnt as he has flip flopped several times now. There is no sign of either begging, China has said they dont care about the US market and have kept quiet. The EU again have kept quiet as they know Trump is a loose cannon. Treating him like a toddler is their tactic.

I simply dont believe Trump that 75 countries are begging to "kiss his ass", Malawi, Pakistan or El Salvador may be but they are not the main target. China conducting a diplomatic tour is normal and this was planned a long time ago.

If you want jobs to be created in the US a great deal of planning and policy changes need to be made, It cant be done overnight.

@cms neuf
Are you really this fvcking stupid? Chinese market is down since tariffs announced. Take a guess how many China businesses are owned by or partially owned by the Government.

@Barney
You dont have to believe who is negotiating, just maybe read the news. I mean you all seem to think thats always accurate when it suits your needs.

@PolAmKrakow
When China or the EU are begging to "kiss Trumps ass" that will be news. The man hasn't a clue how to get the result he wants.
OP cms neuf  2 | 1874

Well it is down 3-4 percent since tariffs. So is everywhere. But in any case the stock market in China plays a far smaller part in commercial life than it does in the US

It's strange that you who can't understand tariffs or VAT, after having it explained maybe 30-40 times, then call other people stupid
PolAmKrakow  2 | 868

@cms neuf
I understand tariffs and VAT just fine. You cant say a fvcking thing without being a know it all. China not selling, shipping, or doing business in the US is a disaster for a shrinking economy with an even larger problem of a shrinking brith rate. Tens of thousands of Chinese put on holiday already.

@Barney
Italy now telling the EU to fvck off and going to negotiate its own trade deal with Trump next week.

Not effective? marketscreener.com/quote/index/DAX-7395/news/German-Stocks-Close-Higher-as-EU-US-Trade-Talks-Begin-49613522/

cnbc.com/2025/04/15/good-chance-of-uk-us-trade-deal-jd-vance-says-as-trump-really-loves-britain.html

Who else wants to kiss Trumps a$$? Everyone will bend to maintain trade in the US. Anyone saying otherwise is an idiot.

Yes, he is.

So how does it feel debating two worst morons on PF?

He would have achieved a lot more by appointing experienced people,

Hey genius, those appointees are brilliant, most patriotic ever, night and day, compared to the woke-infested Biden administration.

I would consider if your blabbering answer is worth a spit, but based on your investment success, and my noble upbringing I would kip my opinion to myself
Novichok  4 | 8748

Hey genius, those appointees are brilliant,

...but not as brilliant as cymes ... a nobody who knows better how to fix that 36-3-1 problem here...

Why is it that every time I ask clowns like him or Torq for their ideas I always get what Trump shouldn't do or what he is not allowed to do. Or it will take decades ... if ever...

Memo to President Trump:

Before you sign another EO, please have it approved by cymes and Torq.

Hey genius #2 (on par with CMS), Were you in a coma during the glorious years of Trump's first presidency or moving forward to securing our borders? I don't expect a quality answer from a foaming-at-the-mouth, woke-infested lunatic.
Lyzko  44 | 9765

@Barney,
Trump, not too dissimilar to Hitler, wants nothing more than to reverse the entire course of the country
by destroying any trace of FDR-Era liberalism and turn back the hands of time to pre-Depression poverty,
where only the Robber Barons remained on top whereas everyone else was on the bottom, except perhaps
for those whose personal or family connections facilitated some sort of upward mobility.

Whaddya'll think the Mafia was all about??
Novichok  4 | 8748

Hey, Barney, in less than five seconds, Trump stopped the invasion.

That's what it took him to sign an EO that said: Close the fvcking border! Now!

Trump, not too dissimilar to Hitler,

You just removed all doubts who is the biggest moron on PF. It's you. Congratulations...
Lyzko  44 | 9765

He did nothing of the kind, Rich!
Like most quick-fix artists he merely staved off a further "invasion"
by attacking the symptom rather than the cause.

@Rich, Trump tried, but he didn't succeed.
