Brother missing in Poland

Hello,

I know this isn't the right place for these kinds of posts, but I'm quite desperate and don't know where else to turn.

I'm reaching out for help in locating my brother, who has been missing since the 29th of July. He left our family home in Latvia, driving his car (black Lexus IS220d with Latvian registration plate) with an invalid driving license. He didn't take his phone or any other electronic device with him, making it impossible for us to contact him.

We immediately reported his disappearance to the Latvian police, who informed us on the 30th of July that he had crossed the border into Poland. Unfortunately, the Latvian authorities are unable to track him down and provide us with any further information about his whereabouts.

My brother has been dealing with mental health issues, and we are extremely concerned for his well-being. We have no idea where he might be heading.

I have tried contacting the Polish police through their email (kancelaria.gabinetkgp@policja.gov.pl), but Im are skeptical that I will receive any response.

If anyone in Poland have any advice on how we could proceed with the search from here, we would be immensely grateful.

Please, if you have any information or can offer any assistance, do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for your help.

A long shot would be to publish the car's plate number and/or a picture of your brother. You may also contact a detective service in Poland: google.com/search?q=detektyw+zaginiona+osoba+w+polsce (translate the page to your language) who may be able to have access to traffic data as they probably record license plates at strategic places. It will cost some money. A detective may be able to check Poland's surrounding border traffic data (Germany, Czechia, Slovakia) to make sure he didn't cross the border lines there.

I'd also keep trying to contact the police and at a minimum send them the car's plate numbers and maybe even tell them the driver has no valid license and/or may be on drugs; it may alert them enough to do something. Maybe focus on the border police departments, not a regular inland police. You could actually contact the border police in Germany/Czechia/Slovakia too and provide the license plate information.

You could contact ITAKA - it's a Polish NGO dealing with disappearances/missing people which is in contact with the Polish police and is overseen by the Polish Ministry of the Interior and Administration:

zaginieni.pl/looking-for-help/contact-us/

There are also Polish Facebook groups where you can post a photo of a missing person and people on those groups spread the news on the internet, for example:

facebook.com/profile.php?id=100069566796868

facebook.com/zaginiecia

or may be on drugs

Only if it's the truth. She should stress that he has mental health issues though.

I'd also keep trying to contact the police

Yes.

black Lexus IS220d with Latvian registration plate)

Does this car have built-in navigation?
