FIFA World Cup 2026

It's always easier to reform existing structures than to destroy them and build everything from scratch.

Not really, it sounds plausible, but if you think about it, it's false. For what you asserted, a strong foundation needs to be sound and healthy. The EU fundamentals have been subverted and rotten for a long time.

Come on guys there are enough threads about Trump

Keep this one for football - should be a good world cup with almost all PF teams represented

Poland possibly
England, Scotland and maybe Ireland for Atch
Germany of course
US
Canada
Norway
Ozzie

Winner - can't see past France but Brazil should be back in business too.

Serbia are out - beaten 5-0 at home by England, and North Nigeria were never in - but I hope genuinely that they can find their way back to to the family of nations, they just need to change the manager first.

Football is a pretend war without guns.

FIFA made it part of the war by banning Russia. Hence, Trump...Simple...

By this single act of punishing a small group of Russians, who may actually be against this "SMO", FIFA joined the SS and Gestapo in Lidice: A did it, so let's execute B. Fvcking brilliant...

The road from moronic to vile is indeed very short.

FIFA could only react to the situation - it was the players from Poland, Sweden and England who refused to play the NNs - this left FIFA with no choice.

Of course the NN footballers could shorten the war by recording a short video saying that aggression against your neighbors is not supported ny the team. They haven't done that yet.

should be a good world cup

Nothing connected with FIFA is good. And who is to blame for what FIFA get away with? The people who watch FIFA matches. If everybody just stopped paying attention to things connected with FIFA, it will lose both all advertisers and regimes who want to sportwash their reputations.

BS. If FIFA had balls, it would demand that its rules of inclusion and diversity be followed as written... or GTFO.

Quoting:

FIFA's inclusion and diversity rules focus on a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination (race, gender, sexual orientation, etc.), enforced through its Statutes, Human Rights Policy, and Disciplinary Code...

Nowhere does it say that if your brother is a discriminating homophobe or convicted child molester, you can be excluded by FIFA or boycotted by other players.

The Russian football players didn't start this war, do not participate in it, and, therefore, should not be excluded or shunned.

Just imagine you not being allowed into a store because you know me from PF - the most racist, homo-hating, Russia-loving azzhole ever...

You would say...let me guess...

WTF! I have nothing to do with this moron, Novi, so kindly fvck off...

Am I right?

They haven't done that yet.

And they won't do it to avoid falling out of the window...

Quoting from FIFA:

From the FIFA Social Media Protection Service (SMPS) to the No Discrimination campaign, which supports the Global Stand Against Racism, FIFA invests promotes the values of equality and fairness, whilst strengthening social bonds among people and countries throughout the 211 FIFA Member Associations.

...equality and fairness...Since FIFA has men's and women's divisions, what is a woman? No definition...

Also that title...FIFA Women's World Cup

Shouldn't it be FIFA Menstruating Persons' World Cup?

FIFA Non-Binary World Cup?

How about the FIFA tranny cup.

They should have trans league, it would be like a traveling freak show from the 1930`s.

They should have trans league,

...and LG...To qualify, each player would have to have sex in front of the FIFA qualifying commission.

Deeply corrupt. And now there's an issue with people being able to buy up tickets and sell at price gouging amounts.

regimes who want to sportwash their reputations.

This time as well as last.

If an American company "Ticketmaster" gets involved then they will scalp the **** out of them.

I hate this company, they have rip- off prices for concerts and sporting events.

American company "Ticketmaster"

In general, watching football in the USA or Canada is like watching opera in a sports bar - technically possible, but something feels off.

They should move the whole thing to Mexico.

Ticketmaster

We have that company too and they have a bad reputation. They scalp concert tickets etc however there are rules about major football events to prevent it happening.

It might be OK over there because although there aren't the same rules about ticket prices, the issues with entry visas etc which might reduce the numbers going.

It looks like they are hated worldwide then. They have bots that scoop up most of the tickets and re sale at an inflated price.

The government is currently investigating them or was....

Exactly that.

Reselling football tickets on the open market is illegal in the UK and most of Europe (you can do it via the club) however they get round it by operating offshore. One problem with that, not only the prices, is that people who are banned from attending football matches due to hooliganism just buy from them.
