Nobody told me today that England would lose to Slovakia

Good.

That ended nicely.

Never underestimate them.

What is the difference between the disallowed goal of the Dutch against FRA and this movement of Morata in front of Mamardashvili?!

That's Germany out then as Spain are by far the best team in this tournament.

And England have got Switzerland, so they will be out too as Switzerland did not lose a game in the group stages and even drew with Germany.

Methinks the winner of Spain-Germany wins it all.

Can you imagine the amount of bubbling sh*t on the different sides of the Franco-Belgian border today?

A colleague of mine is French, and the kindest person. However it becomes a hilarious Jekyll and Hyde transformation when you ask him of his opinions on Belgium.

I can't imagine France is too popular over there either.

To my eyes, however, it looks like the national team of Congo is playing against the unified team of the Gambia.

....maybe it has something to do with the belgian fan "tradition" to show their disrespect and to boo and whistle through the french anthem?

It is abit rude, mind you....

To my eyes, however, it looks like the national team of Congo is playing against the unified team of the Gambia.

Most european teams look that way by now actually....

Sometimes I can't help being reminded of some roman gladiator games of old....with the whites (to lazy for sports - native Europeans/rich Romans) enjoying the blacks (immigrants/slaves)entertaining/hopefully winning the game for them....

Most european teams

Slavs still don't have access to a ready supply of home grown Africans, and Africans from Africa do not want to come in large numbers either.

Didn't notice any Africans on the Georgian or Kazakh teams either :)

.....Kazakhs are asians

They are mutants :)

Asian blood and European blood meet in Kazakhstan.

In the North they are fair haired, pale, and tall. In the south they are black haired, darker, and more stocky.

Blond, tall Asians....super interesting

Not quite blond, more a dirty blond.

First three are light Kazakhs, and the last one is a southern one - who looks much more Mongol.

.....okay....1:0....that probably was that for France....Portugal next?

Not quite blond, more a dirty blond.

Wow....they truly look abit "mutant"....really interesting!!!

Reminds me about that mugshot of that black USian a few years back....with these blue eyes....that photo had made quite the ruckuss over here at that time!

Were these hordes that once attacked Europe?
Bobko 26 | 2123
1 day ago #226
Some small part. The hordes were a confederation of all the peoples of the steppes. Tatars, Kalmyks, Mongols, Kazakhs, Turkmens, Kyrgyz, Buryats, Bashkirs, Uyghurs etc.

Basically, all the people that lived in felt tents.

Southern and Northern Kazakhs for a long time lived separately. Northern Kazakhs joined Russia as early as the 1700s, whereas some Southern Kazakhs continued to resist Russia until the late 19th century.

In Kazakhstan itself, it is the southern "Asian-looking" guys that run the country. All the leaders in this country come from the "Mongol" south, and the light northerners are constantly on "secondary" roles.

One thing remains true in European soccer...Belgium will underwhelm.

Belgium will underwhelm.

For such a small country, they are ok. Much better than 40M Ukrainians or 150M Russians.

....okay....Portugal next!

Or probably Slovenia? That would be a big surprise though....

Or probably Slovenia

Portugal of course, we all love CR7.By the way, it's good that France won, maybe Le Pen will lose.

For such a small country, they are ok

But for their level of talent they underperform.

Scratching my head why they had DeBruyne play so far back for as long as they did. That guy should have the ball in his foot early and often.

Ridiculous.

France "scored" three goals in four games so far: two own goals and one penalty, and they are in quarter-final. :-/

Germany-Spain should be the final not a QF.

France "scored" three goals in four games so far:

Haha, a good way to explain the present situation.

we all love CR7.

....na ja....if that can be called "love"? :)

Germany-Spain should be the final not a QF.

HEY!!! Don't give up on us....yet!

@Torq

Damn straight! GK had perfect position, that ball doesn't go in if not deflected. Better to be lucky, than good (in France's case those frogs are both lucky and good).

I'm definitely not giving up on you. You are the only Slavic team left in the competition (I don't have much hope for Slovenia).

Ja genau! :)
Torq 8 | 1169

genau! :)

In case some people are wondering: for the purpose of this tournament Germany are a Slavic team because I have money on them. Any team I have money on automatically becomes Slavic.

Besides, Crow has this theory we all know :)

those frogs are both lucky and good

More lucky than good so far.

Germany are a Slavic team

Germany robbed Serbia of a talented player a 188cm tall defensive midfielder who made his debut last year in the Bayern Munich first team as a 19 year old. He could have been of good use in transition for us especially against a team like England.

Julian Nagelsmann called him up for the Euros but he got an infection and had to miss the tournament.

I don't get it, your name is Aleksandar Pavlović and you need to consider whether to represent Germany or Serbia!?

WTF...

It seems every country has its own Miroslav Klose & Lukas Podolski...

Besides, Crow has this theory we all know :)

Maybe Serbia FA should send Crow on a special mission to convince him.

;)

a 188cm tall defensive midfielder

A small shrimp, as Crow would say - by Dinaric standards.

Better that the liliputs leave Serbia, brate.
