if PO wins they will most likely abandon most defensive projects.

No, they won`t coz contracts have already been signed. PO keeps the word even if it was given by those PiS losers.
However, in the army thread I will write sth interesting about our purchases. .

Big Mac index is one of the best indicators of how well/bad a country is doing in economic terms for the general population...

BMInd Poland

... 2016 Big Mac price - 9.70pln; 2023 Big Mac price - 19.70pln.

That's how well PiS is handling the economy.

cnbc.com/2023/03/20/mcdonalds-big-mac-prices-state-by-state.html

2023 Big Mac price - 19.70pln.

Man, are you fu*cked!

In dollars, it's 4.70!

In Illinois - $4.55 and we make 4x what you do.

So how is that war working for you...but don't feel bad...Ukrainian refugees are so grateful...

I knew a country bumpkin like yourself would see going to mcdonalds as a special occasion, do you put on a suit and tie as well? Inflation is already falling and will hit single figures in early 2024.

In Illinois - $4.55 and we make 4x what you do.

That's because maccas in Ilinois is for white trash and thugs and in Poland it was seen as a status symbol to eat there in the 90s and that vibe never went away. give me a bar mleczny anytime.

Luckily, this Autumn we have parliamentary elections and we will "thank" the idiots responsible for that.

a country bumpkin like yourself

GdaƄsk can hardly be considered the countryside. That sums up your knowledge of Poland and Poland related things pretty well. :) As for Big Mac index, it is used by over 100 countries as one of the main indicators of how well a country is doing economy-wise.

Rubbish, the rampant inflation is a one off due to covid and the russian invasion and is falling worldwide. yes it's higher than germany but that is our economy is booming. GDP growth, GDP per capita, unemployment, social mobility, inequality (gini coeficiant,) housing market, small business penetration, red tape, transparency index etc are equally if not more important.

Rubbish or not, PiS will have general uproar if inflation is ignored. It's what doomed the commie government after all. Bad economy

That index needs improvement. It should show how long a person has to work to buy one Big Mac. Five bucks in Poland is not the same as in Monaco.

In the US - 5 minutes. In Poland - 20 minutes.

PiS will have general uproar if inflation is ignored.

Inflation is how you pay for Ukrainian refugees and for supplying the weapons to prolong the war. If you had those insane covid lockdowns, that too...

The same in Britain. The one plus is that they tend to have good toilets and disabled access.

In Poland, it's a slightly different demographic and they tend to be cleaner and better decorated.

give me a bar mleczny anytime.

Amen to that. Sadly, too many in Warsaw were on prime real estate and the premises became something else. The ones that have remained are well used though; one reason I don't go as much as I'd like is the length of the queues, especially at lunchtime.

is the length of the queues, especially at lunchtime.

That's part of the experience :) the culinary establishment is maintaining it's traditional rituals.
