probably pushing the mark a bit for most people

I doubt most people have heard of it.

Or that Mr Tusk has publicly commented on it.

You are twisting like a typical rightist now. :):):)

Look that way, doesn't it...

Adam, do you live in a normal Western country (not Poland)

He's from one.

Perhaps he'd prefer a country with only state-controlled media and no fourth estate.

Just a country that is not a path to Catholic genocide would be nice, was hoping that could be Poland but seems like there are too many people fully committed to the destruction of the RCC.

Catholic genocide

What does that even mean?

the destruction of the RCC.

Destruction, or expecting religious denominations to confirm to social norms and the rule of law.

Poland is a secular state rather than a theocracy.

There is no such thing as a 'secular state' anyway we are going way off topic now

There is no such thing

There is. It is written in Poland's constitution.

Although Mr Tusk is himself a religious man, he is also a defender of secular values.

What religion is Mr Tusk?

Is that anyone's business but his?

Why would a statesman discuss that unless they wanted to?

Have you never seen him on the news attending places of worship during his term of office as Premier?

Doubtless he'll be seen participating in worship when he's President.

Although Mr Tusk is himself a religious man, he is also a defender of secular values.

Like me. That is why I fully support him. Religious at heart but caring for non believers too.

people fully committed to the destruction of the RCC.

People most committed to the destruction of the Church are top clergy who cover pedophiles, bask in incredible luxury in their palaces and support PIS which wishes to introduce Catholic dictatorship. No way! Go down with the Black Mafia!

If the RC church is destroyed and a new decent entity arises in its place, I certainly won`t cry.

Good choice, I am sorry.

You don't need to be sorry, he would be a God's choice.😀

who compromised/endangered Polish national interests

That`s how PiS brainwashed voters perceive him. While to KO/PO intelligent voters he is a saviour who will rescue Poland from mad PiS who have been endangering Polish national interest for nearly two decades.

he would be a God's choice

Yes, amusing typo by Lerende. :):)

Much better than the current President who is too dependent on his party buddies. Tusk would be a truly independent President. But he isn`t going to be one.

Mr Donald Tusk isn`t a dictator but he knows how to knock PiS dictators out, pointing to their scams, lies, corruption and abuse of power against democracy and constitution.

E..g, recently Donald Tusk, the chairman of the Civic Platform, was indignant last week at a meeting with voters in Siedlce.

"Prime Minister Morawiecki, when he and his government assured Poles that inflation would fall from 6 percent to down, just at that time he bought bonds, he invested a lot of his private money, which really gives a good profit when there is high inflation," "This year, which has just begun, he will earn over PLN 0.5 million, and for the time the bonds were scheduled for, i.e. until 2025, he will have earned a total of PLN 2 million. Due to inflation, high prices,"

Donald Tusk combats obsessive lies of the rightist PiS rulers and critisizes their suspicious deals on Russian oil.

"We have received information that Orlen has been buying oil from Russia for the last year. It is pure hypocrisy coz the PiS government said it was in favor of sanctions. Morawiecki, Kaczyński and Duda admonished other countries, Tusk said during the meeting.

"Today`s news is crushing. During this year, during the war, Orlen paid Putin, according to experts, even more than PLN 40 billion for oil that was not supposed to come from Russia, he added.

"I have also received shocking news. Orlen continues to buy oil from Russia for Czech plants. Polish company is still funding this war in a way. Someone maliciously, but quite accurately, pointed out that Obajtek (Orlen`s head manager) may be untouchable, just like every oligarch of Putin, because in fact, considering the scale of what Obajtek does, today he is one of Putin's largest oligarchs, said the PO leader.
