Tax inspectors equipped with handcuffs and tasers?

Finance Ministry has drawn up draft legislation which would allow tax inspectors to carry handcuffs or tasers.

Tax inspectors will be able to use a wide range of techniques as well as carrying weapons when dealing with dishonest taxpayers.

The new list of tools at the tax inspectors disposal includes handcuffs, tasers, incapacitating nets and all sorts of truncheons and caltrops.

Additionally, tax inspectors will have the right to use rubber bullets as well as tear gas and deafening tools.

The Finance Ministry estimates that the cost of supplying tax offices with non-penetrating bullets, tear gas, deafening devices and the like will amount to 10,000 zloty (2,500 euro) a pop.

This has got to be a joke...???? This sort of stuff should be in the hands of the Policja..not a bunch of tax inspectors...

These things can kill people if not used correctly.....are they going to give them Police training on how to use them , or just let em loose with the stuff...

A rubber bullet ( baton round ) will kill you just as well as a normal bullet if fired at the head or torso at close range....its a bit harsh for paying 30 zloty too little on your tax bill...!

Seems that the tax office can cover the cost of this equipment by selling off the organs of anyone they kill with this stuff.....!!

In Moscow they caught some guys selling a dead body to a kebab shop...they didn,t say if they managed to make any kebabs with the guy....yuk...!

Do these tax people wear a uniform of some kind....???

Because if they don,t you would be within your rights to take a shot at somebody who bust down your door and who appeared to be armed...!
