A Świnoujście girl wins the I love Europe competition

Maria Mileńko won the competition for a poster for Europe day 2010.
Graphically it's very simple, but I do like the message "Europe. My favourite Mix. People. Places. Cultures".

Poster by Maria Mileńko , student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan , won the contest for a poster for Europe Day 2010 The author of the winning work will receive a prize of two thousand euro.

Polish artist's work brought together by far the most points among the works that were in the finals of the "I love Europe " . Voting ended at midnight on 31 January and was conducted via the competition website designeurope2010.eu.. Internet users could vote on the nine works by artists originating, inter alia with Portugal, Germany and France.

a cocktail is a delicious drink that we all/most of us like, a mix of best ingredients. She's saying that the best "ingredients of Europe" are its People, Places and Cultures. This combination of People, Places and Cultures makes Europe her favourite.

Of course, some Europeans are drunks as well.

Świnoujście is a very European city, Germans are normal here, there are also Swedes and a few thousand Ukrainians who were brought to work by this city. The richest Polish commune in which PiS and its ilk never had a say... and there is a new tunnel. 🛳🚙
