I always keep 200zl with my documents so that if I lose my wallet, I have enough money for petrol to get me home

Is that a wise place to keep cash Harry? It could well be construed as an attempt to bribe a cop when you hand over your docs.

John357,can't argue with that.Do you think 10 yrs. would be too stiff a penalty

In Poland they tend to have very high maximum penalties and give out much smaller ones. The problem with bribery is that it is still widespread and some public officials expect it. The police in Warsaw aren't as bribable as they used to be but it still happens and out in the sticks it is normal. Any initiative to stamp out corruption is good, and high penalties are part of that at the moment.

20 new speed cameras for this region around Wroclaw, they will monitor 24/7. There is also apparently a map at the link.

You'd have to be a total moron to get caught by a speed camera in Poland as the signs must be (by law) placed before the camera.

There's a bastard of a speed camera near Trzebnica - placed at the bottom of a big hill in a (justifiably) 50 zone :/

It makes you wonder how often people try bribing and how often it actually works...

Same law in the UK as far as I know.

They have them spy-cams all the way from Wro to Karpac, and I don't give a happy horseshit, I can't drive that goddamn slow for that long. They can bust my ass all the way back to the states, but I'm gonna do 60 if I can do it, at the very least. Ain't nothing but some frickin fields and that ****** old castle, they can suck a fat one if they think I'm slowing down for all that.
