Nord Stream one is down to only 40% of it's capacity.
Russia is claiming because one of their turbines that pump the gas was repaired in Canada and Canada has refused to return it to Russia because of sanctions.

While it is believed Russia has more than enough turbines to increase the flow of gas in Nord Stream One, Russia refuses to increase the flow.

With summer half over it is getting down to crunch time for colder weather soon to come to Poland.
Will Canada cave or will Poland freeze ?
Meanwhile, Ukrainian lawmakers revised an existing law that could require women ages 18-60 who are "fit for military service" and worked in certain professions to fight in Ukraine's military during a time of war.

Does anyone know if Poland has similar laws in place ?

Russia refuses to increase the flow.

Once it gets the turbine it will invent other reasons for slowing the flow....

Germany keeps trying to prevent sanctions from working between the turbine and its efforst to end the blockade of the fake and ghey soviet monstrosity known as Kaliningrad it's very confusing about which side it is on....

to fight in Ukraine's military

Presumably not in front line combat... but the US has a very weird and dangerous misconception about war being something that happens elsewhere so the idea of mixing women and combat seems like an optional unnecessary idea, while Central and Eastern Europe regard it as something that could easily happen right here in which case women are caught up in the war effort as well, mostly behind the lines work though some closer to the fighting as well...

Russia refuses to increase the flow.

And the EU is blocking Kaliningrad in return. RuSSists are furious.

will Poland freeze ?

You got it mixed up a little. Poland is safe when gas supply is involved.
There is a problem with coal which we use in power stations. Coal from other countries than Russia is more expensive so electricity expenses will go up.

According to Ukrainian intelligence some russian units are sabotaging their own equipment to stay away from the fighting....

Ukrainians are fighting for their country?

russians really want to fight and die for the glory of the Tsar?

Please stick to the topic of the thread

Everything from electricity to food expenses will be going up do to world wide inflation partly caused buy the Covid shutdown hoax for two years that has helped put us in this Recession.

So the Polish government is having second thoughts now for closing their coal mines down in the name of clean energy ?
Will Poland be opening them up again if there is a gas shortage to heat homes and make electricity ?

No such plans. Poland has been slowly dropping coal mining due to technical difficulties - known deposits are too deep and without huge investment they are unavailable.

will be going up do to world wide inflation

That is only a smaller fraction, about 1/3 of the inflation in Poland. Most of it has been caused by right wing PiS government which has been giving away billions for free.

Who are they giving these billions too ?
Who's money actually was it ?
How much of it was given to Poland by the E.U. ?

Parents, pensioners, the church, small business owners in small towns - core PiS voters

Whose money is it ? It is our money, but PiS thinks it is their money

How much is from the EU ? Some but not so much - most EU money is for specific infrastructure spending

pensioners

E.g. , PiS introduced two extra pensions annually - 13th and 14th. Of course most pensioners need this money coz they get peanuts due to messed up social security plans. But still this extra money, most of which comes from increasing debt, pumped into economy contributes to inflation.

where should the post in question be?

Maf, you need to start a new thread but in off topic section. There is no other solution. I suggest a title for it: Heroic Ukraine bravely repels Mongol savages. Or invent another one.

Which they spend which stimulates the economy.
Good job PiS

which stimulates the economy.

And causes inflation, too. :):)

Good job PiS

Most Poles have a different opinion. PiS will pay for it at the elections. :):)

You really have no idea how F up PiS has the retirement system. Social Security is an 10 ton Atom bomb, ZUS is a 100 megaton multiple warhead Fission bomb. The social safety net under PiS can never be paid for. They may US Democrats look like genius bankers.

Yes, it is funny how our forum rightwingers critisize Democrats in the US for spending too much but at the same time support PiS government in Poland which is doing the same but on a larger scale.

Simply amasing!

They should, the Polish people have been supressed for way to long.
Well, most of them that is as some of them are silver spooned with chauffer's that take them to school in a private limo.

They don't want the disadvantaged to have anything so they can lord over them.
With all the Ukrainian grain that is being destroyed and stolen, one can only surmise that Poland's food prices will continue to sky rocket.

This will become a huge burden on the PiS supporters so they need every break they can get.

Kids going to school in limo's? Disadvantaged people? Its clear you have not been to Poland. There are very few with the kind of wealth you mentioned. There are so many jobs available, even to seniors for an extra income, that no one in Poland should be disadvantaged.

Inflation is irritating here, yes. Gas and electricity are the most irritating. But there are solutions if people want to use them. Walk, or take public transportation. Cut down on TV and other electricity. Food prices are up, but only slightly for most things. I fill my gas tank now once a month and walk everywhere I can within a few km. The exercise isnt going to hurt people either.

Exactly. So if that`s your reasoning, you shouldn`t complain that your gov is spending so much on people who have been supressed so long. Ha!

Stop being so amasingly envious - it is unmanly. You behave like a kindergarten girl who is jealous of her friend`s elegant dress or shoes.

Envious ? Hardly.
I was just pointing out how you look down your nose at suppressed Polish people and try to lord over them.

suppressed Polish people

Wrong notion again! Poles were suppressed during partitions (19th century), wars - both 1 and 2 and during Soviet occupation (20th century). Now Poland is free and nobody is suppressed. People can work hard and earn good money in result. Your success depends on your enthusiasm and engagement into building it on your own, without depending on the state welfare benefits.
