Who would have expected the booing of the German national anthem by the "highly civilized" English that we have read for years about on this forum. I thought something like this was only possible in East Europe.

Don't know about Eastern Europe, but in Central Europe such things are frowned upon. German NT was welcomed with applause during their last game against our NT in Warsaw. That's the spirit of sport. Let's kick cheap chauvinism out of football. :)
