What do people know about the nukes except from the movies and propaganda? Nukes have maybe 10% of the power common people think they have. Drones are much more efficient and Poland should focus on that.
What people know or don't know isn't the issue. It's what the military strategists know that counts.
Poland is participating in the new European military alliance and there are already two nuclear powers among them who are both replacing their nukes over the next few terms and developing new ones. Poland could well join those two countries and perhaps have a key role in manufacture.
Nuclear weapons are, and will likely remain, a last resort. Approximately 80-90% of modern warfare relies on drones for their precision and versatility. Nuclear weapons, like a powerful carpet cleaner, are reserved for rare and extreme circumstances, if used at all.
Nuclear weapons are, and will likely remain, a last resort.
That's the point of them. An invasion deterrent. If you do them properly rather than put them in silos, they can be anywhere in the world, undetectable beneath the ocean. Any country that wants to invade knows the likely outcome.
Poland is getting drones as well. And is good at making them.
The point is - nobody wants to use nukes. If they did, the world would find out this is a joke. It will ALWAYS be a deterrent, never to be used in a military combat.
