About 52% of Poles are against the Israeli attack on Iran, and 17% support it.
The Iran war and Poland
don't think anyone can beat Crow
To be a fanatic is easy. What's more - not terribly impressive. As the Bible teaches us, if we read it closely, every fanatic harbors a secret doubt.
Any fanatic is tomorrow's Quisling.
The real granite - the fundament- is people like us. Not staking big positions, but anchored as hard as concrete in those moderate ones that we own :)

You're like a fountain of wisdom today. Well, you usually are but this is just amazing. It's a perfect beginning for a larger work, or even a library of works. I'm thinking... Moderate Manifesto, The Centrist Revolution: Please, Let's Not Get Carried Away, The Middle Path: Marching Boldly Toward the Center, Radically Reasonable or The Tweed Blazer Uprising.
I want these books and I want this revolution! :)
16.5% haven't heard of it:
Deaf and blind?
hijab (a modern invention of political islam).
Hijab just means a covering. Worn for centuries.
Although population in Persia is dense, it's mostly small town life. The colour photos you see online of fashion people or radical students are t exactly typical. Just like many women in Europe, they'd put a coat on to cover revealing clothing if they went outdoors.
Deaf and blind?
Probably.
Anyways, opinion polls-opinion shmolls. :-/
Just like many women in Europe, they'd put a coat on to cover revealing clothing if they went outdoors.
Cut the bullsh1t. Wearing a coat by women in Europe is optional. You're not forced to wear a coat in summer. European women also can wear revealing clothing if they want to - they have a choice. Wearing a hijab is obligatory in Iran no matter the weather, even if it's hot, no matter if you're inside a building or outside.
So don't write things like "Just like many women in Europe", because comparing wearing a coat by a woman in Europe because of cold and wearing a hijab that is being forced upon on women by a religious law in Iran is simply dishonest.
Cut the bullsh1t
Learn manners.
Wearing a coat by women in Europe is optional
It is optional, and many choose to wear them. Some people 8n Europe wear hijab. Does that trigger you?
So don't write things like
I'll write what I want. Who the hell do you think you are?
forced upon on women by a religious law
Part of their culture, and very widespread.
Wearing a hijab is obligatory in Iran
No, it is not, a decent wear and hair covering, for example, a scarf. Not a big deal.
----
is being forced upon on women
Right, your obsession with those poor prosecuted women. Always victims. Should get used to it by now. After all, it was a few thousand years of oppression; it is natural now.
I think you feel upset because there is not enough oppression in your life.
a decent wear and hair covering
The word hijab just means covering. It can mean a throw on a sofa, a tarpaulin on the back of a trailer or some tissue paper keeping flies off a breadboard.
For clothing, it can mean a near invisible scarf or one of those very elegant turbans you see in the posher bits of Istanbul. Most women in Persia have always worn them. It's only the most secular people who don't.
You're not forced to wear a coat in summer.
The "coat" is the niqab. That's more an Arab/Afghan thing.
Hijab is just a scarf.
Hijab is just a scarf
See above, Bobko.
It doesn't mean that either, The word simply means covering and can be anything from a full burka (used in sandstorms to a baseball bat and Covid mask, more popular than you think.
In parts of the Arab world, black covid masks have pretty well entirely replaced the veil since they're convenient and disposable.

Iran will be waking up their sleeper cells to attack in the U.K. if Americans are allowed to use the U.K.'s military bases to launched any military strikes against Iran.
How exciting !

Don't worry. They'll be waking up their sleeper cells where you are first.

Of course you will but others can point out how disingenuous you are.
Not a big deal.
Then wear it yourself. Or maybe you wouldn't like to be told you e.g. can't wear swimming trunks at a sea side?

The citizens all have guns here so we will have a fighting chance, you however, will be sitting ducks.
Who ? Mr. Twister ? lol

That's exactly the direction that extremists have always been leading their nations.
Luckily, I used up all the extremism I had in my youth and don't have any left for either middle age crisis or old age mental retardation. In general that's how it should be: be an idiot when you're young, wise up with age. There is something uncanny about people who had normal, quiet youth and then become radicals in their later years.
Hijab just means a covering. Worn for centuries.
IIRC it only began being used of head coverings with the cursed muslim brotherhood. Before that the term tarha was used (and women were leaving it behind before the rise of political islam - the worst idea since communism).
If so many women want to wear it then why do laws force women to wear it in some countries (like Iran).
Whatever you call it it's.... not attractive, modesty through ugliness.
disingenuous
How is it disingenuous to say that most wearers of traditional clothing do so out of choice?
Men too in some Islamic cultures wear clothes that fit those cultures, and have strict modesty rules too.
How is it disingenuous to say that most wearers of traditional clothing do so out of choice?
Then why do they force those who don't want to to wear it?
If a woman wants to look ugly in hijab then great... if another doesn't want to then let her be and stop making excuses for those forcing her.

Pease stay [On Topic] = POLAND
Then why do they force those
It's the Ayatollahs in Iran. Conservative, authoritarian and male dominated.
In most of the Islamic world there are no laws, yet different sorts of covering are worn. By both men and women.
In some places the guidelines are pretty well ignored. In most they aren't.
There is no reason to assume that European dress is in any way superior or a better option. In hot and sand6 places it generally isn't.
why do they force those who don't want to to wear it?
Ah, this old transition from "I will do it, because MY religion tells ME to do it" to "YOU will do it, because MY religion tells YOU to do it".
I wish it happened in Iran only!
, wise up with age.
It depends if you're at the political center of something, or in your case in the center of nothing.
I wish it happened in Iran only!
It is not a big deal.
There is no need to make such a small matter a problem.

That's exactly the direction that extremists have always been leading their nations.
I'm pointing out that your labels do not describe anything and are generally misleading. While that sounds fun, it is not wise.

Hmm... both Amiga and Iron seem to have something vague and intangible against me - I must be on the right track. :)
I must be on the right track. :)
Indeed, you are on the right track, moving to the center called A-hole. lol!
Calling yourself a centrist doesn't mean anything. It is simple enough to understand. You misunderstood Bobko. Go away now, I'm watching Tucker-Cruz interview.
Direction anus.
moving to the center called A-hole. lol!
The same joke twice in a row? You can do better than that.
Anyways, gotta catch some z's. There's a couple of books that I like to read before sleep...
Quietly Unyielding: A Moderate's Memoir
Militantly Mild
The Moderate's Guide to Appearing Passionate
Brunch Will Not Be Cancelled
... which one should I choose tonight? Hm... I think, I'll go with something more philosophical - Critique of Pure Extremes. :D
I'm watching Tucker-Cruz interview.
Ah, peak intellectual discourse! Did they mention that centrism is a deep state plot?
Good night, middle-aged extremists. *yaaaaaaaawn*

Where did my other post go ?
Oh well, lets try this one and see if it gets put in the trash can too.
FYI there are approximately 40,000 U.S. troops in the area currently, including a Navy carrier strike group with another on the way, several fighter squadrons and two of the United States' Terminal High Altitude Area Defense or THAAD systems, one of its most advanced missile defense interceptors.
When all hell breaks out, how many of our NATO alies will be stepping up to help out against Iran ?
