Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 27

Economy means shlt. Unless pizzas are deadly and can fly...

No doubt about it, the Italians would comfortably contain the North Nigerians in a conflict. Just like the Finns, Afghans and Ukrainians

And their superior diet would help them

Italians are completely different. The last war they won was probably during the Roman Empire.

Looks like Milo has hacked Cms' account. :)

But seriously - Italy's land forces number around 97k soldiers, and Italy does not have mandatory military conscription, so no source of reservists.

Just like Ukrainians

Ukrainians have 130+ brigades standing in the field - over 800,000 soldiers, and they suffered much higher losses than the entire size of Italian army. Also, if you assume that Italians would fight with equal grit and determination as Ukrainians, it means you were probably sleeping in your history classes.

What they have

Proper modern aircraft
People who maintain them
Modern air defences
Modern ships
Sober commanders
Properly equipped professional troops

The North Nigerians seem obsessed with troop numbers, mainly because of their 19th century tactics

... a question to you, therefore, Cms, because I consider you an intelligent person:

How long do you think would Ukraine last if they had 97,000 land forces' soldiers, instead of about 800,000?

Based on your answer to the above - are troop numbers important or not?

I don't know - depends how many missiles allies sold or gave them and whether they could use those missiles with no restrictions

Also depends on whether the rest of the world would properly enforce sanctions

In that case they could have brought the North Nigerians to their senses in a very short time, even with a much smaller army

Zelenskyy has said that the United States has provided a textbook example of how to deal with dictators in Venezuela and "knows what to do next"

Here's the bare bones of what it looks like in the UK, and probably the EU:

tldr: fits a pattern of russian involvement (the writer doesn't say it was russia, but points out the pattern) FYI

We can hope.

Some analysts think Putler will go full on this year as a last ditch hope to save his skin since the r*SSian economy is failing and his position is getting more and more vulnerable however that of course is only one of the scenarios that Ukraine and its advisors plan for.

And of course the crude AI and photoshopping, plus the doubles etc suggest that all is not well with him.

depends how many missiles allies sold or gave them and whether they could use those missiles with no restrictions

Quite, and of course the key to everything now is drones and satellites.

plus the doubles

I never understood the conspiracy theories surrounding Putin's alleged doubles.

For what purpose would this be done?

The only true "doubles" that I had ever read about were used in WW2 - and the intent there was to convince the enemy that a certain so and so was in one place, rather than another.

Western audiences seem to have some fetish with Russian leaders and doubles. Stalin allegedly had doubles, Brezhnev supposedly had doubles, and Putin is supposed to have an entire stable of doubles - but no one ever bothers to explain why.

Probably only because the Ethiopians did not know bows and arrows at that time. 🙂

no one ever bothers to explain why.

One reason is when a leader thinks he's a possible target for assassination.

Not conspiracy theories. It's confirmed by facial recognition software and a number of other analytical tools.

And it's hardly unknown in r*SSia. Previous dictators there have done it too.

a possible target for assassination

This.

One of the funniest things is when he's filmed or photographed doing factory visits, meeting members of the public etc, and they're all the same cast of actors.

actually Ethiopians beat the first Italian attempt to conquer them in the battle of Adua in the late 1890's

Well that's what I was thinking - and this is certainly true.

That is - if Putin only does super carefully stage managed appearances - why does he then need a double for security purposes?

Further - Putin doesn't strike me as someone who does anything he doesn't want to do. It's hard to imagine him thinking in categories like: "those poor factory workers have been waiting for me - I cannot disappoint them! Send the double instead."

If Putin wanted to, he could sit at home all year without coming out - and literally nobody would say a thing or think any worse or better of him.

He does what he wants, when he wants.

The facial differences seem to be related to Botox. If he got the shot just recently - then he's all puffy. If it was a while ago, his face starts returning to normal.

I think it's very strange that he gets Botox injections, but then politicians are usually vain people.

Several doubles and he's probably working elsewhere. Or in poor health, given his age.

Probably does.

Putin is 10 years younger than Ryszard. 0_0

That's not a high bar.

(And Putier is thought to be two or three years older than he suggests).

And Putier is thought to be two or three years older than he suggests).

Again - why? Why do this?

Russians are pretty paranoid and conspiratorial in their thinking by nature - so you hear a lot of this inside the country as well... but it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Just lying for lying's sake - with no practical dividend. Putin could be 80 - and what difference would it make to his power?

Another favorite thing for Russians to discuss is the alleged Jewish mothers or grandmas of its leaders. Every single Russian leader is alleged to be some crypto Jew - Putin included. It's believed by a big part of the population that you can't really be a leader of Russia unless you possess some measure of Jewish blood. Again - I don't understand why this would be necessary to conceal...

We have a country, which was openly led by Georgians (who spoke Russian with a thick accent), Germans (who didn't speak Russian at all), Ukrainians, Tatars, Jews (as in full Jews who were open about their Jewishness, not some secret Jews) - and yet the few Russians that did actually make it into power have to be playing at some secret game where they hide their Jewishness.

We already practically never have Russian leaders - but people will still believe that they are Jews - even when there is zero reason to think so.

Again - why? Why do this?

Apparently a family matter.

And he'd not be the first r*SSian leader over the years to obfuscate about their background nor the first person in the world to shave a few years off their age.
Torq  28 | 2109

but people will still believe that they are Jews

We can add this paranoia to a long list of Russian-Polish similarities.

We even have all the Jewish conspiracy theories involving the lists of "real names" of Polish politicians e.g.:

Lech Wałęsa - Lejba Kohne
Leszek Balcerowicz - Aaron Bucholtz
Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz - Dawid Goldstein
Janusz Korwin-Mikke - Ozjasz Goldberg
Aleksander Kwaśniewski - Izaak Stoltzman

... etc. etc.

ivrozbiorpolski.pl/index.php?page=lista-prawdziwych-zydowskich

These are proven to be false over and over again but people still believe them and claim we are all ruled by Jews.

Seems like the NNs are getting pushed further back from Pokrovsk and now more than half the town back in Ukrainian hands. I imagine Putler wanted it captured before North Nigerian Christmas - not gonna happen

Brutal cold snap coming up - pray for all the Ukrainians in the trenches defending civilization

we are all ruled by Jews.

Your post gave me a good laugh.

Before she changed her name to Putina, Putin's mother carried the surname Shelomova.

Of course people argue that this is a Russification of "Son of Shlomo".

Yeltsin - many argue - was a Russified version of «Элцин» or even Elstein. Also, his daughter married a guy who is alleged to be Jewish, and his granddaughter married Oleg Deripaska - a Jewish oligarch. This is enough to convince people that Yeltsin was a Jew himself.

Going further back in history, people had a problem with Gorbachev's wife's name - Raisa. Sure enough, Raisa is a traditional Yiddish name, meaning "Rose". It didn't matter that all genealogical records indicated Ukrainian ethnicity - the name Raisa was sufficient for an indictment.

The collapse of the Soviet Union is blamed by many conservatives on the machinations of Gorbachev's Jewish wife.

And in this way you can go all the way back to Rurik to prove that every Russian leader was in the clutches of Jews.
