Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 27

I know.

America is waking up to who its real partners are.

In addition to the above, they allegedly planned the creation of a new group to replace the G7 - that would be called the Core 5.

It would be America, Japan, China, India, Russia.

Basically only countries with more than 100M people, and with either demographic, economic, or military weight.

-//-

China and Russia - by blessing their predations on Venezuela, Panama, Greenland, etc - can block the protests of Europeans at the Security Council. We can give America the cover it seeks, to flex its muscles and spreads its wings in the Western hemisphere.

America must respond in kind, by closing its eyes to Russia and China setting things up in their own neighborhood.

Working with Russia and China will always give America more power than being tied as an anchor to Europe.

FTFY - real Nigeria can get a seat with the big boys

North Nigeria will be too busy sweeping up the glass and fixing the bridges in Ukraine

Real Nigeria has manpower - undoubtedly.

It has energy - tons of it.

But it doesn't have nukes.

It cannot print ballistic missiles and long range drones like sausages.

Nepalis and Nicaraguans will not flock to its banners.

It has a fractious population, that wants to kill each other, as much as they desire foreign acquisitions.

Nigeria knows it benefited from maps drawn up in London. Russia knows it has had important parts of its body severed by foreigners.

Russia is one of the oldest shareholders - since the Congress of Vienna, and the writing of the United Nations charter. Russia knows how to exercise its power - whereas Nigeria may get a little carried away through inexperience.

Trump needs to wake up and realise that Russia is NOT winning this war and urgently needs to get behind the winning side or he will lose credibility.

Look at the naming!

"Operation East Shield" begins in 2026:

German Armed Forces build tank barriers on Russia's border

bild.de/politik/ausland-und-internationales/operation-ostschild-bundeswehr-baut-grenzwall-vor-putins-imperium-693bfe6435d03c76a695db9b

The German armed forces are making a renewed effort to strengthen NATO's eastern flank. Starting in April 2026, German engineers will help construct a border wall to defend against a potential Russian invasion of the NATO member state of Poland. They will participate in the Polish "Operation Eastern Shield," which has been underway since May 2024.

This was announced by Polish State Secretary in the Ministry of Defense, Paweł Zalewski (61), to surprised journalists at a meeting with his German counterpart, Nils Schmid (52, SPD), at the Malbork Air Base near Gdansk....

Nice....

...And indeed! In response to a BILD inquiry, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense confirmed: "A total of a mid-double-digit number of soldiers from the army and the support sector will participate in Operation East Shield in the border region with Kaliningrad and Belarus."

...
Interestingly, according to the Ministry of Defense under Boris Pistorius (65), a parliamentary mandate is not required for this deployment of the Bundeswehr abroad, "since it is not a deployment of armed German forces abroad within the meaning of the Parliamentary Participation Act and there is no immediate danger to the soldiers from military conflicts."

...a truly interesting workaround for our poor Pistorius! :)

I could imagine this one will be used now more often...

Why would Russia want to attack Germany, the Baltics, or Poland?

Could it be why Germany and Poland didn't attack Mongolia or Nepal?

Russians may be too stupid to launch a man into space, but they are smart enough to at least try to have a good reason to go to war.

It's not like they have millions of men to spare...

Ukraine's Vladimir Zelensky has indicated the country may hold a referendum on territorial concessions ahead of any peace deal with Moscow.

Kiev has previously ruled out any recognition of former Ukrainian regions as part of Russia.

OK...I got it...

This referendum - good

The ones in the past - bad

...except in Kosovo, of course...

This is so funny ...

......its more like a token....a symbol....but we have to start somewhere if we want to build a real military alliance....why not with some barriers against possible invaders. If nobody comes, the better for all!

Interesting that they can hold a referendum during war time but not a regular election. Crazy how that works isnt it?

So 50?... That's not too much.

.....one could think its a kind of a "test balloon"?

After all, when you read the interesting parts, Pistorius avoided needing a parliamentary mandate for this....if successfull going over without much hassle I guess there will be more soon...maybe....

The new proposal is that they will hold an election provided that international troops guarantee security and that the Ukrainians n occupied territory can vote. It is a good suggestion. It won't matter though because for Putler and Golden Cow it's not about an election or democracy, but about finding more reasons to delay a peace treaty.

Zelensky agreed the "mineral deal"
Ukraine turned up in Turkey for negotiations (Putler did not)
Zelensky agreed the US ceasefire deal (6 months ago)

None of these made a difference - the US simply asked for the next thing, just to keep the North Nigerian rapists happy.

When are the elections in North Nigeria BTW ? Would make sense to hold them at the same time

And it is the US, not Europe, that is at least trying to find an end to this. The EU wants this to keep going for as long as possible to wear down Russia, and have time to ramp up their own military. The UK loves this because they always love a good war when none of their men are being killed, and the US is paying the bills.

How ? By sending over his son in law and some clueless friend to kiss the ass of war criminals ? No sensible proposals have been made.

No sensible proposals have been made.

That's the problem..... Trump seems to think he can do business with russia (ignoring that past where such ideas never work). russia has huge economic potential but the entire society is determined to not develop but to maintain a system where the tsar and oligarchs rob the serfs (over 90 % of the population) blind.

It is what it is....

If that's how russians like living (and it does seem to be) then fine, but it's not a system that should be forced on non-russians like Ukrainians.
